I was so blessed to come across this recording. I’ve been listening every morning. This helps me so much as I’m learning to pray. Glory to God for all things! Amen

Through the prayers of our holy fathers, Oh lord Jesus christ our God, have mercy on us, amen. As I rise from sleep I thank thee Oh holy trinity. For because of thy great goodness and long suffering thou hast not been wroth with me the slothful and sinful, nor didst though destroy me in my inequity but did show thy usual love for men. And when I was prostrate in despair thou didst raise me to keep the morning watch and glorify thy dominion. Now enlighten thou the eyes of mind, open my mouth to meditate on thy words, and to understand thy commandments, and to do thy will, and to chant unto thee in heartfelt confession and to praise thy all holy name, of the father and of the son and of the holy spirit, now and ever and unto ages of ages amen. Rejoice Oh virigin theotokos, Mary full of grace the lord is with thee. Blessed art thou among women and blessed is the fruit of thy womb for thou hast given birth to the savior of our souls. Oh my most holy lady the mother of my God, by thy holy and all powerful prayers remove from me thy humble and burdened servant, despair and forgetfulness, lack of understanding and negligence, and take away all unclean, crafty, and blameworthy thoughts from my smitten heart and from my darkened mind. Quench the flame of my passion for I am poor and lost. Deliver me from many cruel recollections and undertakings, and set me free from all evil actions, for thou art blessed of all generations and thy most honorable name is glorified unto the ages of ages Amen. I believe in one God, the father almighty maker of heaven and earth and of all things visible and invisible. And in one lord Jesus Christ the son of God, the only begotten, begotten of the father before all ages, light of light, true God of true God, begotten not made, being of one essence with the father, by whom all things were made. And who for us men and our salvation came down from heaven, and was incarnate of the holy spirit and the Virgin mary and became man. And was crucified for under pontius pilot, suffered and was buried. And arose again on the third day according to the Scriptures. And ascended into the heavens and sitteth at the right hand of the father and shall come again with glory to judge both the living and the dead, whose kingdom shall have no end. And in the holy spirit the lord the giver of life who proceedeth from the father, who with the father and the son together is worshiped and glorified, who spoke by the prophets. I believe in one holy, catholic and apostolic church. I acknowledge one baptism for the remission of sins. I look forward to the resurrection of the dead, and the life of the world to come, amen. Oh come let us worship God our king, Oh come let us worship and fall down before christ our king and our God, Oh come let us worship and fall down before him, the very Christ our king and our God. Have mercy on me Oh great God according to thy great mercy and according to the multitude of thy compassions blot out my transgression. Wash me thoroughly from my inequity and cleanse me from my sin, for I know my inequity and sin is ever before me, against thee only have I sinned and done this evil before thee, that thou mightiest be justified in thy words and prevail when thou art judged. For behold I was conceived in inequity and in sins did my mother bear me. For behold thou hast loved truth, the hidden and secret things of thy wisdom hast thou made manifest unto me. Thou shalt sprinkle me with hyssop and I shall be clean, thou shalt wash me and I shall be made whiter than snow. Thou shalt make me to hear joy and gladness, the bones that be humbled, they shall rejoice. Turn thy face away from my sins and blot out all my inequities. Create in me a clean heart Oh God, and renew a right spirit within me. Cast me not away from thy presence and take not thy holy spirit from me. Restore unto me the joy of thy salvation and with thy governing spirit establish me. I shall teach transgressors thy ways and the ungodly shall return back unto thee deliver me from blood guiltyness Oh God, thou God of my salvation. My tongue shall rejoice in thy righteousness. Oh lord thou shalt open my lips, and my tongue shall declare thy praise. For if thou had desired sacrifice I'd given it, with whole burnt offerings thou shalt not be pleases. A sacrifice unto God is a broken spirit, a heart that is broken and humbled, God will not despise. Do good Oh lord in thy good pleasure and design and let the walls of Jerusalem be builded, then shalt thou be pleased with a sacrifice of righteousness, with oblation and whole burnt offerings, then shall they offer bullocks upon thine alter. Forgive them that hatest and do us wrong Oh lord, do good unto them that do good unto us. Do our brethren and kinsmen, grant their requests that are unto salvation and life everlasting. Visit them that be in sickness and grant them healing. Pilot them that be at sea, accompany them that journey. Be thou the ally of orthodox Christians. Unto them that minister and show mercy unto us grant forgiveness of sin, upon them that have joined us, the unworthy, to pray for them have mercy according to thy great mercy. Remember Oh lord all our fathers and brethren that have gone to their rest before us and grant them rest where the light of thy countenance shineith. Remember Oh lord our brethren that are in captivity and deliver them from every misfortune. Remember Oh lord them that bring oblation and do good works in thy holy churches and grant them their requests that are unto salvation and life everlasting. Remember Oh lord us also thy humble, sinful, and unworthy servants, and enlighten our mind with the light of thy knowledge, and lead us in the path of thy commandments, by the intercession of thine all immaculate mother, our Lady the theotokos and ever virgin Mary, and all thy saints, for blessed art thou unto the ages of ages amen. To thee Oh Master that lovest all men, I hasten on arising from sleep. By thy mercy I go forth to do thy works, and I make my prayer to thee to help me in all times and in all things. Deliver me from every evil thing of this world, and from the pursuit of the devil. Save me and bring me to thy eternal kingdom, for thou art my creator, thou dost inspire and vouchsafe every thought of good, in thee is all my hope, and to thee I ascribe glory now and ever and unto ages of ages amen. Oh lord grant me to meet the coming day in peace, help me in all things to rely on thy holy will. In every hour of the day reveal thy will to me bless my dealings with all who surround me. Teach me to treat all who come to me throughout the day with peace of soul, and with firm conviction that thy will governs all. In all my deeds and words guide my thoughts and feelings, in unforseen events let me not forget that all are sent by thee. Teach me to act firmly and wisely without embittering or embarrassing others. Give me strength to bear the fatigue of this coming day with all that it shall bring. Direct my will, teach me to pray, pray thou thyself in me, amen. Oh lord who of thy plenteous goodness and of thy great loving kindness have granted that I, thy servant, should pass through the time passed of this night uninjured by any mischief of the enemy. Do thou Oh Master maker of every creature, vouchsafe for me to do thy will in thy true light, and with enlightened heart, now and ever and unto the ages of ages amen. This is beautiful! Why must people criticize about which words to use? This is why the different ethnic denominations cannot unite. Let us all just pray for God’s mercy…
You can use a different word if it means the same thing or the the meaning doesn't change but when meaning changes then it's a problem . But again I don't believe God will be that harsh around these things but then again I would think I can't be the same when last 7 years until few months ago I just "believed" in Jesus and in God too and I believed the resurrection and he's coming again but I never read The Bible i didnt own one i never prayed but I did ask God to bless ambulances and older people I'd see or people in wheelchair but again since discovering orthodoxy and saints and their wisdom and Jesus prayer seems better because I trully think of God ,Saint and Jesus all the time everyday and I can't wait to go to church to smell the incense to venerate the icons to listen to the priest at the end of the service talk about a certain moment from The Bible and saying he first needs to pay attention to it and all of us too and then after talking w people and the father It's just amazing
I'm a catechumen and I have like 3 different prayer books. I really like the way you compiled these prayers together. Short and sweet, yet comprehensive. I am going to have to make a transcription for myself and use this as my morning prayers.
The book wich we uses its not important. The important part is the trust on god, our on god so we can pray to him by our on words. Trust on god by heart and pray there is no doubt our god will answer to us. May god bless everyone ✝️🕎
I simply pulled prayers from a few different prayer books (see the video description) and tried to follow the pattern we see in those books. I did this while trying to offer something a little shorter for us when we are in a rush. Brief prayer with the heart is better than lengthy prayer without the heart. That was my thought process behind this recording.
Thank you dear brother. Forgive me, in The Creed, it should be "I confess" not "I acknowledge" I recall Fr Peter Heers saying this, as well as my local priest. God bless you.
I would like to thank the channel owner for this prayer as well as the evening prayers. I am learning to pray and both videos have been immensely helpful. God bless you.
Thank you for recording this. I've moved into a new home which needs every room to be remodeled. My prayer corner and all my icons are packed. I'll have space eventually, but until then, this recording is a daily blessing. Thank you very much.
Thank you for performing this blessed service for those of us who need guidance to employ. May God see these humble recordings and honor you on the Final Day for your faithfulness in small things upon which Spiritual Mansions are built.
Thank you. May the Lord Jesus reward you. I, too, listen each morning whether hastening to work or sitting quietly. Then next there is a psalter recording with kathisma prayers. As a best continuation then a reading from the gospels.
Thank you so much for recording these Morning and Evening prayers. I am so glad I found them. I wish I had found them sooner. They are perfect for someone who is ill or disabled. One can just listen and chant along. Or just listen if one is too weak to speak. You have done a real good deed in creating these Orthodox morning and evening prayers! May God bless you richly for doing so.
Thank you for posting this, Truly I am blessed to have this channel posting Orthodox Content. I was reduced to tears close to the end of the prayer. God bless you☦️
This prayer has made a huge difference in my life. Learning the origins and meaning behind each element - the Trisagion, Psalm 51, etc. - has made it an ever restoring prayer, not just something to do as part of going through the motions
Standing afar off for the fear of her torment, saying, Alas, alas, that great city Babylon, that mighty city! for in one hour is thy judgment come. Revelation 18:10 It is time.
I’ve been searching for some recording of this prayer for years, working graveyard shift and have a long drive ahead of me, truly couldn’t have found this and your page at a better time, brings me back to my grandpas prayer room ❤️💚✌🏽
This is the first time hearing this in english, it's so weird, I mean, all the words, cadence, intonation, rhythm, melody, are 100% exactly the same in every way. That's so unexpected, usually in different languages you know like the intonation and stuff changes a lot.
Thank you so much for this! Will you be doing an Evening Prayer and/or Compline? As a non-orthodox individual who is exploring Orthodoxy it would be so helpful...
I'm so glad you are exploring Orthodoxy. We welcome you! If I can help you in your journey, with resources, finding a church/monastery, etc please let me know. I'm not sure if there is a way to DM on youtube but my Twitter handle is @tahoneycutt As for evening prayers, I think I will now that you have asked. I'll do a short evening prayer rule. You can find wonderful recordings of Compline online so I'll try to offer something similar to the morning prayers here. May God bless you on your journey ☦
Standing if possible. Standing helps us be attentive and reverent, but if sitting is what you can do than don’t let that stop you from praying. God bless you in your search. Feel free to email me if you need help getting connected to a local parish or to meet with a priest in your area. Of course, if you’re not ready for that, that’s ok. Feel free to ask other questions as well.
Are you not reading from the Blue prayer book? It’s a blessing to have this morning prayer read nicely. However…. these slight changes are off putting. And bring in opportunities to alter our faith unwittingly. The Our Father…. It’s debts that’s the proper translation and correct understanding for salvation in the Orthodox Church. It’s how “sin” is properly understood. In the Creed.. it’s I BELIEVE Please don’t water it down to I acknowledge. Words have meaning. The Saints have laid down their lives for these “little things” that actually matter. Forgive me a sinner
I’d started by googling the names of the prayers I posted in the description. Then try taking a few words of the prayers and putting them in quotes and googling that. These are very common prayers. Hope that helps
I hear you. To the extent that I’ve progressed in this, it’s been through naturally picking it up from listening to others and practicing. But I would suggest asking the choir director and/or Deacon or Reader at your parish. They should be able to help.
Thank you for asking. I think this is a great idea. It was difficult to find the service text online, and this was the best I found after a 10 min search. full-of-grace-and-truth.blogspot.com/2011/10/paraklesis-supplication-service-to-holy.html?m=1 Do you have a link to the service text? Please share if you do. Thank you.
I'm interested in the prayer to the Theotokos asking for intercession in our mind and heart from evil schemes. Would you be willing to write it down for me?
Forgive me, but is the prayer you speak of in the recording here? I’m not sure. If it is can you give me a time stamp? Also, if it is not, give me more insight into how I can find this prayer.
@@OrthodoxWisdom I think she is talking about time stamp 7: 14 of yoir evening prayer video. I was looking for that prayer too so I know what she means.
Forgive them that hate us and do us wrong, O Lord; do good unto them that do good unto us. To our brethren and kinsmen, grant their requests that are unto salvation and life everlasting. Visit them that be in sickness, and grant them healing. Pilot them that be at sea. Accompany them that journey. Be Thou the ally of Orthodox Christians. Unto them that minister and show mercy unto us, grant forgiveness of sins. Upon them that have enjoined us, the unworthy, to pray for them, have mercy, according to Thy great mercy. Remember, O Lord, all our fathers and brethren who have gone to their rest before us, and grant them rest where the light of Thy countenance shineth. Remember, O Lord, our brethren, the captives, and deliver them from every misfortune. Remember, O Lord, them that bring oblations and do good works in Thy holy churches, and grant them their requests that are unto salvation and life everlasting. Remember, O Lord, us also, Thy humble and sinful and unworthy servants, and enlighten our mind with the light of Thy knowledge, and lead us in the path of Thy commandments; by the intercessions of Thine all-immaculate Mother, our Lady the Theotokos and Ever-virgin Mary, and of all Thy Saints, for blessed art Thou unto all ages of ages. Amen.
@@AAna_Stasiaa You can see the prayer above. In our Russian prayer books it's one of the last prayers also, but in the evening. These last prayers always feel very powerful. They are more calm and "closing" then previous ones. God bless!
@@garry_wshld "Upon them that have enjoined us, the unworthy, to pray for them, have mercy, according to Thy great mercy." Does "the unworthy" in this sentence refer to us who pray for them, or for them that have enjoined us. I find varying translations that indicate both. What does the original Russian indicate? Thank you.
I just looked it up, here is the info: The church is dedicated to the Holy Apostle Andrew, the first called. The chapel is built on a tiny island on Lake Vuoksa, which is on the boarder of Russia and Finland.
Questions: Do morning prayers (as well as small compline) have to be chanted like in this video? Which prayer book is this from? It sounds like this is according to Russian usage based on the prayers and chanting tone.
Following the pattern you learn from those you know is generally best. I learned a certain way but it’s might be different elsewhere. And regarding the prayer books used, see the description.
This is feels like medicine for my soul.
So true!
I was so blessed to come across this recording. I’ve been listening every morning. This helps me so much as I’m learning to pray. Glory to God for all things! Amen

Thank you for recording this. I've moved into a new home which needs every room to be remodeled. My prayer corner and all my icons are packed. I'll have space eventually, but until then, this recording is a daily blessing. Thank you very much.
So very beautiful.
Thank you so very much for this! May God bless you ☦️
Thank you for performing this blessed service for those of us who need guidance to employ. May God see these humble recordings and honor you on the Final Day for your faithfulness in small things upon which Spiritual Mansions are built.
Still listening almost two years later
Thank you. May the Lord Jesus reward you. I, too, listen each morning whether hastening to work or sitting quietly. Then next there is a psalter recording with kathisma prayers. As a best continuation then a reading from the gospels.
Thanks so much brother for the blessings or this prayers. God Bless
☦ Christ is King ✝️
We have the same Trinity. We have the same Apostles Creed. We believed in Mother Mary. Amen
God bless you☦️
Thank you.
Thank you very much
Very nice. Thanks✝️
This prayer has made a huge difference in my life. Learning the origins and meaning behind each element - the Trisagion, Psalm 51, etc. - has made it an ever restoring prayer, not just something to do as part of going through the motions
Amen 🙏 the picture is beautiful
You did well☝ Amen
Thank you. Blessings.
Amen Amen Amen
This is so helpful!
Standing afar off for the fear of her torment, saying, Alas, alas, that great city Babylon, that mighty city! for in one hour is thy judgment come.
Revelation 18:10
It is time.
Good morning and may God bless you and keep you!
ΑΜΗΝ 🙏✝️
I’ve been searching for some recording of this prayer for years, working graveyard shift and have a long drive ahead of me, truly couldn’t have found this and your page at a better time, brings me back to my grandpas prayer room ❤️💚✌🏽

Added this to my morning-routine playlist (RUclips)! Thanks for making it.
Very good recording. I enjoy listening to it. Thank you. God bless. 💜
Thanks 🙏 Needed this

Thank you for your channel 🙏👍🏼
Excellent!
Where is the beautiful church located. I feel such peace looking at the church and the setting it is in while listening to my morning prayers
🙏
Thank you. I was wondering what they were singing.
🙏❤️
8:20-8:24 Fr. John Chupek. Sts. Peter and Paul O.C.A. Hamilton St. Syracuse NY
Am praying for russian land to saved from evil please free us.
Amen
🙏😎
Having the words on the screen would be really nice, so we can speak them with you. 🙏
This is the first time hearing this in english, it's so weird, I mean, all the words, cadence, intonation, rhythm, melody, are 100% exactly the same in every way. That's so unexpected, usually in different languages you know like the intonation and stuff changes a lot.
Благодарим Вас! А Вы какой Патриархии принадлежите?
Спаси Господи!
I'm not sure if there is a way to DM on youtube but my Twitter handle is @tahoneycutt
As for evening prayers, I think I will now that you have asked. I'll do a short evening prayer rule. You can find wonderful recordings of Compline online so I'll try to offer something similar to the morning prayers here.
May God bless you on your journey ☦
I just uploaded Orthodox Evening Prayers. I hope they help give you want you were looking for ☦
This is wonderful.i also love the Jesus prayer and chants.a true blessing.thank you and God bless
Should I be standing or sitting for these ? Just curious also a non orthodox exploring orthodoxy
Am russian orthodox I never for got where I came from.
Very beatiful preyers, but I want to see a text. I am from Russia. Beatiful voice.
Forgive our debts-- not trespasses.
Are you not reading from the Blue prayer book?
It’s a blessing to have this morning prayer read nicely.
However…. these slight changes are off putting. And bring in opportunities to alter our faith unwittingly.
The Our Father…. It’s debts
that’s the proper translation and correct understanding for salvation in the Orthodox Church. It’s how “sin” is properly understood.
In the Creed.. it’s I BELIEVE
Please don’t water it down to I acknowledge. Words have meaning. The Saints have laid down their lives for these “little things” that actually matter.
Forgive me a sinner
I like this but wish it was typed out in the description
❤
😇
God bless you, brother! Tell me, please, where can I get the text of this morning prayers?
I’d started by googling the names of the prayers I posted in the description. Then try taking a few words of the prayers and putting them in quotes and googling that. These are very common prayers. Hope that helps
I can’t find any resources on how to intone the prayers properly, as you do. Any advice?
I hear you. To the extent that I’ve progressed in this, it’s been through naturally picking it up from listening to others and practicing. But I would suggest asking the choir director and/or Deacon or Reader at your parish. They should be able to help.
You would be a good singer lol
Could you ple@se record a n akathist or paraklesis to the Holy unmercenary physicians.
Thank you for asking. I think this is a great idea. It was difficult to find the service text online, and this was the best I found after a 10 min search.

Do you have a link to the service text? Please share if you do. Thank you.
What a good idea!
Just in case you didn’t find it on this channel: ruclips.net/video/F4kxR_TXxH4/видео.html
God bless!
@@garry_wshld "Upon them that have enjoined us, the unworthy, to pray for them, have mercy, according to Thy great mercy."
Does "the unworthy" in this sentence refer to us who pray for them, or for them that have enjoined us. I find varying translations that indicate both. What does the original Russian indicate? Thank you.
I found it interesting that there is a part in the prayers where you do a part of the hail mary at 2 min 20 second in.
Where is this picture taken? It is absolutely stunning.
Where is this church?? GORGEOUS!
Between Russia and Finland if I recall. St. Andrew church
Do you know the name & location of the church in the above photo? It’s a beautiful photo.
I just looked it up, here is the info: The church is dedicated to the Holy Apostle Andrew, the first called. The chapel is built on a tiny island on Lake Vuoksa, which is on the boarder of Russia and Finland.
@@laurinchichkanoff1179 thank you for this information. ❤️
The Mother of God is also named God-bearer.
Does someone have a link to where I could buy a book or books with these prayers?

@@OrthodoxWisdom thank you!
This is really great. One question where is the church located in the photo?
Questions: Do morning prayers (as well as small compline) have to be chanted like in this video?
Which prayer book is this from? It sounds like this is according to Russian usage based on the prayers and chanting tone.
Following the pattern you learn from those you know is generally best. I learned a certain way but it’s might be different elsewhere. And regarding the prayer books used, see the description.
