"I play souls games" and "circle is objectively the wrong button for dodge" Subtractem... Circle is the dodge button in souls games
I've been playing too much Hades 2, I guess I just like X/A more!
Also objectively the best button for dodge would be left or right bumper. Assuming you don’t play claw or hold your controller like a freak of nature, the bumpers are the only buttons with no delay you don’t have to move a finger to hit, smh.
@@subtractemit was weird hearing you say that while I was playing elden ring 😅
GOT 'EM!
@@IVathanMcNasty Grip button. On the middle or ring finger. Definitely worth buying a controller with those buttons, if only for dodge!
That cut off when you were bashing D4 was so fucking funny.
That brief cut to the unhinged D4 UI rant was 👌
My tombstone will read "18:09" because that's when I died laughing.
😂😂😂
Good switch in energy frame of vid :)
The animation is AMAZING. The detail too. WOW I AM EXCITED
I've rewatched these videos so many times. Can the wait stop, please?
Everything I've seen from this last PoE2 playtest looks amazing, can't wait to play it!
They will either add a hit limit or internal cooldown on the bell I feel
Would be cool if it exploded at the end then
"What class you play?"
"Percussionist"
It looks so good!! I love how it feels like you're going through a level as opposed to a map, if that makes sense. It just seems so much more immersive and dangerous meaning you have to be on guard more rather than in POE 1, you see a mob you explode it lol seems like the feel is really more combat like and complex and I'm super excited for it!
Take your peace and turn it to deuces
I never got into POE, but I’m very exited for POE2. Several of the classes shown already look amazing and the skill animations look badass👌
Can't wait for the super bell build...6 man banging on that thing with max aoe and attack speed lol
Bell of the End of Doom
I think for weapon swap and weapon specific passives, they might want to explore a separate system, like a weapon mastery skill tree. So you could invest in both without having to compete with other stuff fir passive points.
the UI is gorgeous, im very excited for this! i really like the sound of all the changes they made.
very good combat footage, super good showing of combo and building off each other
I can’t wait for this game. Friends and Family finally willing to play POE2 with me when they would never on POE1.
I hope they do more with rares, like giving them special boss-like mechanics. Like rare mobs have one or two special mechanics, zone bosses have 4 or 5, and act bosses have 8 to 10. And map bosses are 12-15, and pinnacles are 20 with randomization in it to make bossing more meaningful.
i'm glad you're excited, i remember we had a chat at the exilecon afterparty and we both had some of the same reservations, so if you're feeling better then that makes me feel better too lmao
Rudja boss vocals.... chills AF this game is gonna be soooooooooo fun.
Bells deals damage depending of Weapon damage of person who put bell (snapshots it when you put it)
And bells dangles on your staff and when its charged it has ringing animation and you can see how it teleports in and out of your staff
I'm so hyped for this game, thank you subtractem!
LOL RIGHT when you were shouting about the D4 UI guess what I got an ad for 😂😂😂
I find it funny that D4 had a really interesting idea with the Barbarians Arsenal weapon system, but then just made it as vanilla as everything else and PoE2 is just like, "lets do that for all the classes and actually make it matter" lol
The spore pods for not Toxic Rain definitely linked to more than one target in the footage you showed, unless they were constantly stacked on top of each other.
Also I doubt they'll nerf the bell. Your pods hit it quickly but in the footage from Lance and Jousis, Jousis was using Barrage on the bell and turbo activating it.
Cool footage. I'm so hyped for this game. As an aside, that level up sound could use some work. PoE 1's level up sound is S-tier. I wouldn't even be opposed if they used the same sound. It's so iconic for me.
my first PoE playthrough was blind(not following a build) and speccing hard into poison ranger, excited to do it again.
Same here and it was the best experience i had. Since a couple of months ago i decided to never follow a build guide again, im doing everything blind now and that makes the game 10 times better. I don't give AF if the build dont perform as well.
@@RhebelGaming I think that's fine to do once you have a few builds via following a guide under your belt. I wouldn't recommend a new player to PoE1 do every build blind. First one ever is fine since you're learning the base mechanics of the game, but I'd recommend following a guide for the next few leagues so you learn more advanced and powerful synergies of gear/skills (or use PoB), and then go back to doing your own builds from there.
background musoc is beautiful. I wish all the classes had different dodge roll abilities as it doesnt fit all the classes equally well to roll in acrobatic manner all the time
Oh man I can't wait. I'm a newbie when it comes to poe but not arpg's. I only did one playthrough not that long ago. I was really disappointed in myself for not playing this game earlier. So excited to play poe 2
Only down side I think we'll be waiting another 18 months for 1.0.
I'm hoping to get invited to the beta as I've spent some money over the years on MTX's, but haven't gone through and added it up to see if I meet the requirements yet.
Awesome video! Thanks a lot!
Looks awesome. Thanks for sharing!
SO EXCITED!
I've heard that the got rid of "socket colors," but do skills still require attributes to use/level?
Yes
Circle should always be the default dodge button. All controller buttons should always be rebindable, to any other button. Both of these are true.
After finding out you can tell your minions to attack a specific enemy. The question is can you tell them to attack that bell.
How are you 40? Serious question: Do you have Icelandic ancestry? I've seen a few people from Iceland that look younger than their age.
Swedish so a little close!
@@subtractem ah! Nice. :)
40 isn't as old as people think!
This dude is 40? nah
42 soon actually
I CANNOT BELIEVE they put the dodge on the circle. What are they thinking !!
"you can use icewall but no one does that"
I do, I didn't before endless delve, but after that, I put it on a lot of my ranged builds, it's actually very underrated, blocking all projectiles and being able to shoot through it is insanely strong.
But it's not a number on pob so people don't use it.
so HYPED for the minions in this game!
the new spectre gems storage is gonna be so convenient and allow people new to spectres to dip their toes in
Can Not Wait for this, The only release guaranteed not to disappoint
Damn, I love that camellia-like outro. It makes me want to go back to my hardstyle/glitch playlists and re-live 10 years ago.
Looking sick, I love summon builds.
What are reservation gems? I have only heard people talking about skill and support.
Blocked by the pods? Hmm...
Yeah it's a weird feeling. I suspect it'll be one of the first things they change from the feedback.
Circle is 100% the right button for dodging.
Will they allow us to use our skins and special costumes from POE1.. . i have a lot from old support packs but haven't played for a long time..
Caught all of this on stream but I'll still comment for the algo. Here's my 2 cents:
I'm excited for PoE 2 but until I play I fear I'll have this feeling that it'll not have the same je ne sais quoi that PoE 1 has that keeps me coming back. While I don't doubt that it'll be a good game it looks and feels very different. Here's hoping. Thanks for the content, Sub!
I feel like that's the whole point of poe 2 having more impactful and slow fights that feel more meaningful and has they already announced poe 1 and 2 are two different games with their own leagues
Look on the bright side, even if that is the case you will just be able to go back to playing PoE1.
@@jinxabuser4926 Can't wait to have do redo all of these "more impactful and slow fights" every league, even when I've got the entire fight down to the point of not getting hit at all.
PoE1 didn't have that at launch though either. For many of us, it didn't reach its addictive quality until there was so much content it was impossible to do it all in one league....or even to master all of it. The game will be far more basic at launch than PoE1 is right now, but it has to be else no new players would start playing. I'm already wondering how many will nope the f out when they see it has not only a similar skill tree to the first game, but that you can also now spend some points twice (one for each of your 2 weapons). Then you have there being a 3rd gem type....
Sure, some things were "toned down", like the very game-i-fied color system for gems, but they've seemed to add mechanics in turn.
My guess is, the builds and mechanics will be robust on launch...close to PoE2, but the content, especially at end game, might take a few years to suit your taste. I guess it depends on how many core mechanics that came from previous leagues of PoE1 they carry over and how many (if any) new "league" style mechanics they include at launch.
Just like PoE1, I expect PoE2 will look VERY different 5 years from now than it will at launch.
Cross is interact and Circle is Dodge by default on Souls games.....
Yea circle has alway been dogde
I guess I conflate dodge/dash/run a lot of the time. You're right, I probably end up rebinding it there as well, I'm so used to spamming X/A for dash in Hades that it's the default to me.
I just got back into PoE and forgot how amazing it is. Having played D4 the last few months it blows me away how much better PoE is. I'm excited for PoE 2
Subscribed because of the D4 menue joke
If nothing can phase, minion builds will eather be the best in chokepoints or unplayable
There are many content creators, but I must say, your introduction made me think "Hey, I like this dude".
can't wait
PoE2 looks awesome, can't wait!
What is the release date?
Really like that Bell ability.
Poe is going to be the best arpg of this decade. I ll never get, what sort of maniac is playing this on a games console.
Hear me out: Plague Nymph specters with Pierce
i hope poe2 will be a banger, can't wait for it
is click to move totally dead compared to WASD? I actually like having my left hand to use skills and flasks rather than fully occupied by movement.
Both are available, though imo qerft for skills is very usable, and being able to move backwards while attacking is extremely good.
Click to move is more precise but can't move backward.
@@TreesPlease42 you technically can attack backwards while moving it's just way harder, cant channel while moving backwards though.
I can't wait
Now the question is WHEN is it coming out ?
Early access November
@@truuuupR Thanks
@@truuuupR but the early access is not free
It looks slow but when I first tried poe1 I never would have thought map gameplay could be that zoomy. Act 1-5 feels pretty damn slow in poe1. Maybe all we’ve seen is earlier gameplay
I feel like they might have to buff the difficulty for co op play y’all made it looks too easy.
Grey mobs on grey locations - such a dark souls 3 style which I don’t like 😢
The Monk game play is going to be Bell Spam, i can see it now.
I just want this game already man 😢
This game highlights the fact that console controllers are going to need at least twice as many buttons in the future.
The D4 UI comparison lmao. Even D2 UI looks better than D4.
I wonder if poe 2 is gona be better to play with a controller
what is the death penalty?
Just shook my head when you said Jonathan wants everything to feel real so we are going to create headaches for everyone. No doubt that this game will be good but developer vision does not always lead to great decisions
EXILECON preparation!
EH!
Now avaible and on PSP 5 not only on PC.
??
less spiralling out complexity is exactly what will make this just diablo 3. what a bummer.
He meant for the play test. The passive skill tree is still massive and you can go anywhere on it and swap skills on the fly by changing weapons. Sounds pretty complex to me.
POE2 weaponsets are insane
Classic d4 bad clip snuck in there BASEG
6:55 "He wants everything to have collision"
That sounds objectively unfun and obnoxious
so, there is no xbox at the event, just ps5?
Correct
is it known, if you can switch between MKB and controller seamless as in LE? or is it again like PoE1, where you need to log out (or was it even restart the game?)
I'm pretty sure I heard it's not seamless yet, but they plan to have it so
The intention is for it to be seamless. They said that players like to use MKB for inventory.
I wish this game had dmg numbers
Only if they could be turned off. Maybe a better solution would be to have a bestiary like "training area" where you can test skills and such without penalty for dying, and in that arena you'd see damage numbers to help you gauge how effective something you're trying out is.
I wouldn't want damage numbers to be the default during normal gameplay.
@@1_underthesun It does have them
I'm concerned about the push towards using a controller.
That came after they introduced WASD controls first on PC. I wouldn't be worried, I think it overall is a push for quality of life in controls more than anything!
question, can you use the controller and kbm interchangeably? like controller for playing and kbm for interacting with the UI.
I hope so. That what I do in D4.
@@mrbuIIets Not atm but they are adding it
It be cool if they implement a ricochet mechanic on mobs that have shields. So your arrows/spells and melee hits would bounce if hit.
sub snitching on op build builds in an unreleased game. jungroan has fallen off...
Is there easy reskilling this time around?bOr will we have to create a new char if we select something we don't like down the line. Because that to me a no go in 2024, meaningful choices don't need to waste a players time.
At least in the early acts it was very easy. Was only 300 gold per passive point and I had 10k gold in act 2.
@@subtractem Glad to hear that its possible at all.
Is this game going to require the map to cover the screen the whole time? I hope the one thing they take from Diablo 4 is trying to eliminate that need. Imo it takes away immersion aspect.
I was going to subscribe and donor about 10 thousand dollars, but then you said O is the wrong dodge button. I can't follow someone with those radical ideas (wrong).
😂
19:10 I see new spectres
500 developers!
Not a POE2 hater but I'm just not going to ne as optimistic as everyone else. I expect the game to be decent but it still seems to be missing something for me. Hopefully I'm wrong amd its great, time will tell
They are really pushing for controller eh.
When is it coming out?
Open beta end of the year (like November/December)
18:09 D4Bad Baseg
Beautiful inventory with one item takes about 3-9 boxes. And of course crafting items consume one box😂 .But in diablo every item take one place on your inventory and crafting materials no consuming even one place in your inventory thats is quality of life
Interesting the keystone Unbound Forces (ruclips.net/video/IRvI6US3opY/видео.html) did not have any downsides. Were other keystones like this on the tree you saw?
18:29 timestamp
That's not a keystone btw, it's just a notable that is selected.
@@satibel Lol thanks sorry missed the timestamp, that is a pretty good notable.
Hopefully we are not over expecting for this game
Its funny seeing your thoughts on the inventory UI, personally i think it looks really dated and terrible. The art is gorgeous inside of the UI but the items and slots look like they havent progressed visually at all, feel like they definitely could of done more in that regard as well as updated the item description and txt.
Dodge in dark souls is circle
You're right. Hades default is the way then!
as a D4 simp this looks amazing, but ill have to see how casual friendly it is...
likely isn't, but might have an absolute banger of a tutorial
It won't be as bad as PoE1 is right now (at least not at launch), but it'll DEFINITELY have more too it than D4. Honestly, it would be impossible not to have more to it than D4 as I've played almost every ARPG ever made and D4 is by far the most basic. If nothing else, the skill tree is going to be very similar to PoE1, and that's when a lot of players nope the f out.
My recommendation would be to play a league or two of PoE1 by following a build guide (I recommend toxic rain totem or Righteous Fire...Toxic Rain Totem because it looks to play very similar to the poison archer in this video, and Righteous Fire because it teaches you very specific things about resistances and life regen and is also very tanky), and once you have that under your belt, PoE2 shouldn't be a problem by comparison.
@@1_underthesun if i have to follow a guide i aint playing, seems 99% of poe1 players seem to do
18:03 d4bad
Dude? In the future, think about NOT pausing the game every 5 seconds. You turned a 10 min game play video into damn near half an hour because you spent more time pausing the game and commentating.
This is from a live stream, it was an active conversation with the viewers. The following video is unedited gameplay.
