As ever, Eric a very informative tutorial that is relevant to many editing and custom sections of the stair and railing tool. It is unfortunate that Graphisoft give us this obviously powerful tool and leave us as individuals to try and understand and use it. Many thanks again for this. John Sullivan (user since v4.5)

Its wise to mention that you will have to hold down the spacebar while the railing tool is selected to associate it with the stairs, otherwise it won't work

You skipped past the part where the base of each baluster is square (presumably your version 1 versus version 11) at the bottom, and round in the middle. Also- how did the square portion of the leading baluster (at the nosing for each tread) extend above the upper tread?

How can I make a high dimension for the stair structure and one for the stair floor? When I use it, I can just mark the top of the stair. Thank you.

Jakeline - I'm not sure I understand what you mean. Are you referring to placing a dimension in an Elevation, Section or Interior Elevation? Or to an annotation that is part of the stair symbol on Plan?

@@EricBobrow Hello, thank you for asking. I have a ground plan and wanna place the high dimension on the stairs landing. I don't know if I'm using the correct words in English. If you please have an email, I can maybe send a screenshot. :)
