I'm also just gonna say it here...Levi's line about "choice" and "not knowing the right answer" is EVERYTHING about Attack on Titan. It's literally what drives the story and all it's changes in morality, perspectives, etc. Choice is the only absolute at the end of the day. Yes you can work with the Yeagerists and choose to let Eren complete the rumbling...or you can stick to the expectations of morality and fight for a humanity that wants you gone (Marley). It's all about choice, there is NO RIGHT ANSWER. It's honestly simply incredible that this one (honestly somewhat throwaway line) is in my opinion THE PINNACLE of Isayama's message in the story...TIME AND TIME again. Hell...to go deeper, the reason why there's so much controversy in arguments regarding "who should've had the titan serum? Armin or Erwin? Is the rumbling the best answer? Honestly, it just Screams (so loudly) that this show is a representation of controversy in the choices we make as people. Furthermore these choices don't always follow suit to the expectations of the choice. "Eren chooses to trust his comrades...it should lead to them stopping the female and getting closer to restoring humanity. No...it results in even more death. Killing Samuel and Daz is necessary to stopping Eren....but no it's honestly a setback in the road that once again shatters morality as a concept. It's criminally underrated and I could talk about it all day....and it's one small miniscule part for the rest of the story. I can't stress enough...Attack on Titan is all about choice.
This is a great take/interpretation. I think you're absolutely spot on. We see this theme from the very first episode. When the walls are breached in Shinganshina, young Armin is given a choice between running after his friends and getting help. He chooses to get Hannes, which was the correct choice. However, when Hannes gets to them, he is faces the choice of running away with the kids or facing a Titan head on. He decides to take the kids and run. Was that the correct choice? Probably, but in truth, we don't know. Could Hannes have taken the Titan down or could he have bought the kids enough time to get Carla out of the rubble? Who knows? It's such a simple theme, but so amazingly executed throughout the whole series.
I feel though, that the idea is more that there is a right answer; however, because our insight is limited we can't know what the right choice is. Therefore, the only thing we can do is to make a choice we won't regret based on the information we have at the moment. Which is why people always say, hindsight is 20/20.
Annie showing up as the Female Titan was probably the wildest arc in the series for me. I remember my heart pounding through every suspenseful second 😮💨.

I wasn't expecting the AOT video to be released so soon, but it's great. Your effort and dedication in creating Attack on Titan content is greatly appreciated. Thank you for your hard work. And keep it up.
I would say the reaction of Levi's Squad towards Eren is purely the "friend/enemy distinction" in action. Soldiers in particular need to have a clear definition of who the enemy is so they don't doubt their actions and choke in battle (think Falco vs Gabi), it is very troubling for them that Eren is both friend AND enemy so they convince him to stay in human form. Had they have overcome this and worked along side Eren's titan then they would likely have captured Annie.
This series made me suscribe, is not only the great information and retrospective you give in these videos, is the way you do it that makes it so entertaining, when im doing something else I just play these videos in the background and it makes stuff more fun. Great series!

I wonder if more than anything, Annie’s power as the Female was tied to the relationship of parents and their children. Since the first titan was a female, it could be argued that Annie is just the most direct line to Ymir, but lacks other special abilities as they were diluted through the generations.
Where did Annie even get the Scout uniform and Smoke Signal at the end there? From one of the soldiers that she killed from earlier? From Reiner and Bertholdt as spare?
My guess is Reiner and Bertholdt gave her a spare cloak if she needed to run away. Running around with an MP cloak would give her away if she's spotted.
Oh man, in retrospect I believe Annie being eaten by the titans is calling forward to Ymir being eaten for her titan powers by her master's children. Annie's titan is the only titan I've seen that takes the appearance of a female, even Piecks is male looking. No other titan except for the founder and beast titan can control other titans, so I believe this small control Annie has to call other titans to eat her is a part of her power. Hardening might symbolizes Ymir's wanting to have protected herself, while her "hail mary" might symbolizes what ultimately happens to her. The juxtaposition of self preservation with servitude to an unavoidable death kinda sums up how ymir lived and died. Idk kinda rambly but food for thought. If so, this appearance may be a result of one of the many ways Ymir sees herself, which we know the 7 shifters represent in some way.

Thanks for the great content!!! It's alwasy really entertaining and shows very efficiently the richness of the series. For me, the whole story has always been one with multiple protagnoist, but putting a good deal of emphasys in Eren as he is kind of in the centre of everything. With that in mind I just love how it feels to watch this set of episodes with the perspective of Annie as the protagonist. Just think of Everything she goes through right until the end of the season, it's just crazy! THIS IS HOW I DISCOVERED MATT MERCER VOICES LEVI AND THIS IS A BOMBSHELL THAT MY BRAIN CANNOT HANDLE
Again the best series on Yt ❤❤❤
Having friends that challenge you relies on them having a good temperament and being right, so that's a potentially harmful platitude to follow. I've had friends who'd challenge me, but they take it too personally if I disagree with them; and yes they were friends, but they had a weak temperament when drama came up, that's hard to anticipate or create as a circumstance.
Yes, finally watched this. Thank you
10:30, Just being the coolest guy in the field while his comrades are out for blood
You earned a new subscriber sir! Great job and keep up the AOT content
i love these, can't wait for the next one!!
Oh man I love this series
10:10 Also, the previous founder with the partial transformation was a woman 😅
because you mentioned it: Every time people talk about who is in the right in aot, they expose that they haven't really understand the point of the show
like people hating gabi
“In Attack on Titan there are no cartoonishly evil villains” *points to Gross and 1st King Fritz*
when he dropped the spoon, it was in fact hange who came to visit
Thanks for the great content!!! It's alwasy really entertaining and shows very efficiently the richness of the series.
For me, the whole story has always been one with multiple protagnoist, but putting a good deal of emphasys in Eren as he is kind of in the centre of everything. With that in mind I just love how it feels to watch this set of episodes with the perspective of Annie as the protagonist. Just think of Everything she goes through right until the end of the season, it's just crazy! She's the one who is really facing physical and intellectual duels against complete monsters (in the OP sence not the "evil" sense). 🤣
Perfect to get ready to 😊
More!!!! Keep it up
16:37 🤣🤣🤣🤣 ‘how aot so good’ moment
Erwin representing Ozymathias was my favorite thing about AoT.
it was perfect, perfect.
Ooohhh ya 🎉🎉 dude no lie I stumbled on your videos by accident and I knew a bit of the series before but after it got me full blown into AOT. So thank you and keep up the good work 😝👏👏💃💃💃
14:51 Ahhh yees, finally I can use the "no longer a will to live" reasoning to further advance my plot
NEW RETROSPECTIVE LETS GOOOOO
24:55 and even tho he really didn't want to do that; he did want to(or rather felt he needed too/should) crush the militaries... which would still be a lot of lives
my opinion on why the episode is called bite, could refer to the idea of "giving bait and you'll get a bite "
You are amazing
9:09 Y’now what… I liked and Subscribed. Thanks for the reminder lol
