@thatisme3thatisme38 That's interesting. Yes, I am aware that he had many wives and he was well educated, so perhaps he could speak Iranian too. His name in those regions of Central Asia was Iskander. But the books state that he spread "hellenistic" culture and language, so I'm not sure about your statement that he spread Iranian culture. This is something interesting to look for, I will add it on my notes. The Macedonian coins also had Greek letters on them. Alexander's teacher was the great Greek philosopher Aristotle. I haven't come across any books stating that he spread Iranian culture. However, I acknowledge the fact that Iran has always had great culture and civilisation way before the Arabs take over, like minimum 1000 years before the Arab take over. The Arabs then spread Arab culture in Iran, and Iran lost a lot of its former identity. That's another story. I don't understand the question. Do you mean why Iran is not called Macedonia as it was part of Alexander's empire?
@valentinkosev5336 Also, do you speak the Ancient Macedonian language? Here are the results I got out of a Google Search on AI: The ancient Macedonian language was a language spoken in the kingdom of Macedonia during the 1st millennium BC. It was either a dialect of Ancient Greek or a separate Hellenic language. The language was part of the Indo-European language family. Here are some facts about the ancient Macedonian language: The language gradually fell out of use in the 4th century BC. The Macedonian aristocracy began using Attic Greek, which became the basis of Koine Greek, the lingua franca of the Hellenistic period. Some scholars believe the language was a rough Doric Greek dialect that was not easily understood by other Greeks. The ancient Macedonians participated in many aspects of Greek culture, including athletic games and religious cults. So, just every Greek tribe had each own Greek Hellenic Language Dialect. The same was the case of the Greek Macedonian Dialect. Also, historically, only real representatives of hellenic tribes would participate in Olympic games. That is another point that emphasises the fact that Macedonians were a Greek tribe of Greek culture. Also, looking at the pictures showing letters of the Ancient Macedonian language, all the letters are Greek. Moreover, according to legitimate historical sources, the Greek Macedonian dialect and the Ancient Greek Macedonian tribe derived from the Dorians and the Doric. According to internationally recognised historical sources, Dorians would originate from North Western Greece from regions in Epirus and Western Macedonia. Then Dorians also moved to peloponnese. That's why they say that both Macedonians and Spartans originate from the Dorians. The Dorians were 1 of the 4 main tribes of Greece before all the rest of the afformentioned Greek tribes were formed, including the Melacedonian tribe. The legendary leader of the Dorians was Dorus (Latinised from Greek), aka Doros (Greek version with Latin characters). Also, we know from history that Spartans were the only tribe in the unified Greece, under Alexander the Great, which had not been conquered by Alexander. That was due to respect towards them, as well as due to their mutual origins! Both the Ancient Greek Macedonian as well as the Ancient Greek tribe of Spartans were of Dorian origin! I find Greek history so fascinating! So much juice in it. We also have family in America, and they have been taught the same exact things. They love Greek civilisation, they call it the cradle of Western civilisation.
@valentinkosev5336 Hi Valentin, I just typed on Google Search " Macedonian Language".. AI Rasults state.. Macedonian is a South Slavic language that's spoken in North Macedonia and other parts of the region: Official language: The official language of North Macedonia, where it's spoken by around 1.6 million people Related languages: Most closely related to Bulgarian, and also similar to Romanian, Greek, and Albanian Written in: The Macedonian Cyrillic alphabet, which has 31 characters Dialects: Spoken in three main dialects: Northern, Southeastern, and Western Literary tradition: The literary language dates from the early 19th century Standard language: The standard language was codified in the 1940s and is based on the Western dialect Usage: Educated speakers use the standard language in public and in most written forms Other speakers: Spoken by people in Bulgaria, Albania, Serbia, Croatia, and Slovenia Here are some other facts about the Macedonian language: The first texts that are clearly Macedonian are religious codices written in Glagolitic script in the 10th century. Vardarska Banovina is a Yugoslav name given to this region like they did to all regions of the Kingdom of Yugoslavia from the late 1920s til WW2. Before and after that we were called Macedonia, and we called ourselves Macedonians by regional identity. FYI, Greece is the main culprit for giving us the name "Macedonia" in order to "Re-Hellenize the Greeks who speak a Slavic language." So if you're looking for blame, first place it to yourselves.

@@mellake7052Hi Mellake! I'm a British citizen and a bit confused with the history of this place, please excuse my ignorance 😅 So from what I understand so far, the region kept its original Greek name "Macedonia", but then there are no Greeks there because it's a former Yugoslavian territory which became independent? Do I get it right? So this region kept the Greek name "Macedonia", but also kept the slavic language from Yugoslavia?.. so it's a mix and match of best of both worlds let's say? And was it called Macedonia when it was part of Yugoslavia? I'm so confused 😅, yet the history of this place is so intriguing!

Macedonian is actually a Bulgarian dialect. That's the reason when on Bulgarian televisions they interview Macedonians, they don't translate it - it's just a dialect which everyone understands. Same dialect is spoken in south-west region of Bulgaria.

At the time of the Alexandar of Macedon , no Greek or Hellenic state existed . Only bunch of tribes who's later united . Macedonians has fight with this tribes , and despite in Macedonian Army has been some solder's from this tribes , majority was Macedonians and all of the commander's was Macedonians . The so called Greek state are fake creation at the London conference in 1830 , by the British and the other European countries from their geopolitical interests , and in 1832 with the Bavarian prince Otto started the new Greek state . At that time the so called Greek language is not existed . The Greek language was created in 1865 , from almost 45 percent of the old Macedonian letters , about 30 percent of the Ethiopian letters , because there has been many emigrants from the African continent , which later on the British encouraged and even forced . The lunacy from the Greek government's started mostly after separation from Yugoslavia and war which again was initiated by some western countries . Continuous Greek government's imposed sanctions , political and economic blockades and pressures with approval from the democratic European Union , and still doing , but now including Bulgarians . Only the countries without their own history will try to be someone else , and the Greek's once was Hellenes , Greeks and who's known what else , but suddenly now like to be Macedonians . Macedonia to macedonians....❤
Makedonia is Hellenick land.
There isnt nort.
The real name of this little state is vardarska banovina and the nationality is Bulgarian

Macedonia is a Greek territory and name
The lady is very knowledgeable about the history 😂
Since 1913, Macedonia has been annexed and divided amongst her neighbours, after the Balkan wars, but fortunately, this part of Macedonia remains independent.
Bullshit Macedonia is Macedonia
@@mellake7052Hi Mellake! I'm a British citizen and a bit confused with the history of this place, please excuse my ignorance 😅
So from what I understand so far, the region kept its original Greek name "Macedonia", but then there are no Greeks there because it's a former Yugoslavian territory which became independent?
Do I get it right?
So this region kept the Greek name "Macedonia", but also kept the slavic language from Yugoslavia?.. so it's a mix and match of best of both worlds let's say?
And was it called Macedonia when it was part of Yugoslavia?
I'm so confused 😅, yet the history of this place is so intriguing!
Never was fully. Partially yes. Alexander was a Macedon and conquered rhe greeks
This country is a slavic country. The are not macedonians. Macedonia is Greek, so stop this slavic propaganda.

Thank you i laket thet
Macedonian is actually a Bulgarian dialect. That's the reason when on Bulgarian televisions they interview Macedonians, they don't translate it - it's just a dialect which everyone understands. Same dialect is spoken in south-west region of Bulgaria.
Bulgarians speak Macedonian dialect !

Some coming from Bulgarians , again with support from the western countries for geopolitical reasons .
The big fascist countries changed the name Macedonia to North Macedonia.
