Awesome 👍👍👍
I just grabbed a patch 😁
Cheers Andy🍺🍺🍺
@@offcampnandy7727 we’re pumped! Oh thanks for the support with the patch! 🙌
What did you do with your tub 🤔
Tried to sell but no takers. I took off the electric slide and rear bar. Have a hold on the slide and rear bar is still available for sale
Have a look at Milwaukee Packout drawers for your rear setup instead of the tubs. They are lightweight, durable and modular. Would love to see your take on this idea.
Hi Jason. Certainly an interesting idea. Stackable drawers would maximise the vertical space available and beneficial for locating items. Still early so will persist with tubs for a bit and refine the set up over time
Tools great
It’s come together ☺️
Looks good Mark, certainly prices have sky-rocketed in recent years with canopies/electrical work, i know i couldn't afford new toys these days, gotta do alot diy projects, hey y not ditch the fridge slide & get a small step, save weight
@@louiskudlak2256 thanks mate. Yes as you know there’s so many options on the market now. Nothing wrong with a good DIY project ☺️
For now loving the connivence of the fridge slide and at 19kg it’s not too heavy (compared to the drop slides on the market). All new to us too so looking forward to a trip very soon with the van.
What a great setup 👍
Thanks mate. Come together pretty good ☺️
Looks great mate!👍🏼 What’s the fuel consumption like now with the canopy on?
Was expecting a reasonable jump but it’s no more than a litre difference ☺️
Great set up ,
I think it’s worth every sent , you are going to have an awesome time travelling around Australia. 😎🍻🍻🦘🦘🦘
Thanks! We can’t wait to test it out over the coming weeks with the van 🙌
Did Ford fix your low range issues? What was it?
So far so good mate - but need a few more months to be 100% sure. Not sure if you saw the below video but this was what was replaced.

love your content also live in perth and have a black next gen lol just wondering what video editing software do u use ?
Thanks mate! Nice choice of car ☺️ I use a few based on what I’m doing - Davinci Resolve, Adobe Rush and Premiere Pro. Really comes down to what I trying to achieve. In the early days starting the channel I used iMovie and if you’re doing basic stuff the entry level software are not too bad.
@@Perth4WDandCamping thanks mate I’ll have to come out next time you hit the beach or something
@@willemvantsant1786 yep would be nice to have a meet and greet sometime with the RUclips fam
I think i would go 1200 with small tray space for gear. Any reason didn't go upright fridge?
Was sooo close to pulling the trigger on the 1200 mate - in fact I was set on this initially with tray sides at the back. BUT in the end opted for more usable and covered space and I’m so pleased I went for the 1500. I think 1200 would have just restricted space too much for what we travel with.
With the tilt fridge, a couple of reasons:
- being able to use my existing fridge and saving a bit of money
- weight savings. I did a bit of research and the alloy tilt slide with my 50L Dometic was a bit lighter than a stand up fridge and the bracket
- Flexibly: easier to remove a chest fridge when not in use saving weight for daily driving and creating more space in the canopy
Nice setup. Do tc boxes make there canopys onsite or are they imported. A upright fridge works a lot better and easier for young kids to access and a lot lighter.
Thanks mate! Believe imported and then installed on site. Did look at an upright but decided to use my current fridge for now. I did look into the weights and was actually not too much in it as the tilt slide is alloy (at 19kg weights a lot less than a drop slide) and and my chest fridge is only 18kg. Can also fit more in a chest fridge as you can stack items. Also being able to easily remove the fridge when not on trips is good to cut a bit of weight.
Saying that I’ll use it for a bit and see - upright might be something I look at in the future. I think with either set up, kids would need a step as the tray is pretty high on 33s and lift.
@@Perth4WDandCamping I guess it all depends on what you use the vehicle for . Permanent tourer then your setup would be different.
Yes 100% mate. I think this is moving more and more into a dedicated tourer but still currently my daily so I’m somewhere in the middle.
Does your blind spot monitoring work all right?
Timely question - you a mind reader by any chance ha? Has been perfect for 2 weeks but only in the last 30min the Bliss sensors have playing up a little. Not sure if to do with the weather today in Perth. We’re on a big drive tomor so will see. Fingers 🤞
I know the sensors on these Rangers can be pretty sensitive.

Can you stop holding the mouse…. Just clip it for a more natural discussion with your viewers
@@raybourne5781 g’day Ray - sorry what do you mean there mate?
@@Perth4WDandCamping … on the intro… your holding the mic…. Looks silly… you present well & discuss well… so the mic is a distraction ( well at least to me)
@@raybourne5781 no worries noted. It’s tricky sometimes with tshirts as they don’t always clip on. If you look at later in the video I’m using a lavalier mic which runs under the shirt (recently purchased). In saying that it’s not always possible to use a lavalier mic all the time so there will be some compromise needed at times otherwise the audio will be terrible 👍
weird thing to be bothered by...
