@@Mortablunt Oh yeah, it was kinda stressful, because sometimes you accidentally shot with your gun or tryed to shoot something else, like an animal or object, and out of nowhere the Combat Music starts playing and you don't know if the enemies heard your shot and are coming to get you or if the music is just playing by itself. Good times.
I love how Marc combined techno/technical elements here along with traditional way of sound. Creates great feeling of fighting with not only Mother Nature, but with also people equipped with weapons built by machinery and techniques to create a weapon.. especially if it's fully automatic or explosive.
@@Johnpork.0 same bro every time I do an underground mission or weapon unlock mission there is some hidden outpost that isn't even marked on the map and I get claped

Yeah Far Cry 2 had that fear factor. The music, the smooth animations and planned out events, this game felt scarier than Dying Light and I'm saying that AFTER playing Dying Light.
especially with enemy progression - only in far cry 2 have I felt visceral fear from realising that it wasn’t just one special enemy that had an automatic shotgun - it was damn near all of them, and they were closing in!
I remember slowly creeping nearby an enemy camp with deadeyes and then suddenly the music starts to play and my eyes were WIDE open! Truely remarkable job done by Marc Canham!

Hi, sorry for the delayed response, I remember that I used program from here: www.moddb.com/mods/far-cry-2-redux/downloads/far-cry-2-mod-tools, you just need to drag .fat archive on Gibbed.Dunia.Unpack.exe, extract files and convert them, if I remember correctly, I just don't have FC2 installed right now to check it out.

I remember that you didn't need to have enemies around for the combat music to play; you just need to shoot your gun and it will play.
That was great paranoia fuel, because you never knew if you had gotten yourself carelessly into a fight.

Even just having fire around causes it to play sometimes.
