My Explant Story | Breast Implant Regrets

  • This is the start of my explant story. Even though it is a hard thing to share, I want to share my story in hopes that it will make a difference for other people. Since I started sharing my story of the fact that my breast implants I have gotten so many messages from women telling me that it made them aware of why they may have been feeling unwell for years. Although this illness is starting to be recognized and better understood, we still have a ways to go in bringing awareness to this issue. I hope to help other women, as the stories that I read, and watched have given me courage to act.
For me, it is sometimes hard to show up as I really am and as I truly feel. I have been holding the pieces together and trying to film and be my best. My health and energy has not held up and allowed me to do what I so badly want to be able to do. This is life right now, but I know it will be getting better soon.
Many people have asked who my surgeon is. I have a surgery date with Dr. Jae Chun of Newport beach. www.myplastics...
A few things I have already bought for my surgery:
Dr Rogers healing balm (instead of neosporin) - amzn.to/3OJKwhf
My favorite recovery bra - amzn.to/37Sz81V
    Wedge Pillow - amzn.to/3EYnw9M

I hope you realize how many of your symptoms are the same as peri/post menopause. I went through menopause at 45 I am now 47 and estrogen and progesterone got rid of 90% of those same symptoms! I’m removing my implants because I dont like they way they look or feel, but no matter what your reason don’t feel bad for crying! It’s emotional either way. it’s like a bad breakup! You’re quite beautiful!

Thank you for sharing your story. You are helping so many people by being so open. I had breast implants removed many years ago due to health issues and I felt so much better afterwards. Symptoms that I had been having went away and autoimmune markers improved and eventually went back within "normal" range. Now, I'm dealing with chronic health issues due to toxic mold exposure and I appreciate you sharing your experience with that as well. Wishing you a smooth surgery and continued strength on your healing journey.

It’s so hard for me to say if it’s really true. I honestly do think that there are a lot of great plastic surgeons, and I’m just not sure if they are really aware of the bad side effects that certain women are having. I also feel like it’s more the FDA‘s responsibility than the plastic surgeons themselves. I guess it’s probably a mix of both, but the FDA should be working to make sure that breast implants are safer for women. I really appreciate your kind words and support, thank you so much!

It was hard for me when I first saw my results after surgery (not because they were not good, they were great) but I felt bad that I had put my body through it. Thanks for sharing your story! I found you through researching methods to heal from mold toxicity for me and my cat. I had my explant back in September and definitely noticed improvements in my health since then.
But I just found out that I’ve been living in a home with mold for the past 2 years. I’m moving to a brand new place in a 2 weeks thankfully. Just interesting how our journeys are flipped. You’ll feel so much better after the explant. Especially with everything you’ve been doing. There’s a really great podcast by integrative wellness radio all about BII and mold.
Also, ozone therapy has been amazing for me. I’ve been doing it at home but now that I know about the mold I’m going to try IV ozone as well. 💕

      Hi Raven,
I hope that you and your cat are healing really well. I am fairly certain that the same people that suffer from mold toxicity are also the same people that tend to suffer from breast implant illness. For various reasons, organ function etc. I’m definitely looking forward to completing this step of my healing. It’s so interesting because I really didn’t think it could be a part of it, but it really makes a lot of sense now. Quite a long journey getting back to optimal health!

I used a surgeon who is not convinced of #BII…but have trusted him for years. One of the best in Canada. I feel great. It’s been two weeks out. I feel healthy and strong. I’m trying to find a lymph massage person. He couldn’t get all my capsule out and it’s kind of really bothering me. He said he had to leave a bit of my capsules behind on each side. The size of a quarter he said. They were attached to my rib cage wall. :(

I’ve breastfed 3 children. My boobs are not what they were when I was 25 and although all over instagram women have perfect fake boobs. It’s funny, I was trying to describe recently to a woman who was considering getting implants… And she was starting to have second thoughts.
I told her, they can look great if you’re feeling good, but once your health starts to suffer and you can barely get out of bed, and are experiencing several other issues… They really just don’t seem worth it anymore.
Personally, I think it’s good to think about them in the worst case scenario. Although it may not happen to every single person, it certainly does happen and at this point I know several other women that have experienced very similar results to mine.
Just a thought, you do have other options other than the two options of implants, or staying completely natural. Sometimes women feel very happy after getting a mastoplexy, which some surgeons referred to as a Lift There is also another option of a fat transfer. I personally would not be willing to risk doing a fat transfer because there is liposuction involved, and I always feel like liposuction could turn out well or not.
Past a certain point plastic surgery starts to feel a bit like gambling to me, and I just have to sort of sit back and be grateful for what I have naturally.
I bet you look absolutely beautiful:-) I certainly would’ve felt more beautiful if I didn’t get my implants in the first place, but I guess it was just some thing that I had to go through.
I just share my story in hopes that it’s helpful to people as they’re making their decision. When I look back at how I looked before implants, I can’t believe how perfect I looked. But at the time it just wasn’t enough. I’m really glad to be back to you as close to myself as I’ll ever be again.❤️

Thank you for sharing your story! This message is so important. We're not imagining these things. The science is there!
I've had breast implants since I was 19. 19 years total. I recently had them replaced 2 years ago with Saline. Since my last surgery my health has declined significantly. There's days I can't get out of bed. Depression, suicidal thoughts, swelling of legs and ankles, Raynolds syndrome, 30 lb weight gain in the last year, I'm active and have a very clean diet and can't manage to lose. New food allergies. Last year I was diagnosed with Lyme and then EBV. Now I have adrenal fatigue. I have a Candida rash on my foot and back that won't clear. My lymph nodes are constantly swollen and painful (we ruled out lymphoma) My face has rapidly aged. I can't wait to have these things out. Ladies, ALL breast implants can cause BII. Yes even saline. Please love and care for your body. They are ticking time bombs. You're system can only handle them for so long. You don't need implants.

I had Stage 2 B breast cancer in 2009. It was in my right breast. I opted in 2011 to then have my healthy left breast removed. Because I needed radiation (33 sessions) on the right breast .. I decided to have no implants. Like “enough is enough already” with the surgeries, radiation & going bald from chemo. But it’s 2022. That two-year nightmare is over now. Countless prayers were spoken over me. And yeah I’m breastless but I’m here. There is life after breasts or breast construction in your case. There is grief though. All loss has grief attached. Expect that. In time, you learn to “absorb the loss” & you can truly talk about it without shedding one tear. But Megan that takes time. Be patient with yourself. Absorb the loss. Move forward. Pray. Trust. Heal. Wellness is most definitely waiting for you ✨🙌🏼🙏🏽🙌🏼✨ Promise😉

I am so sorry that you are struggling with your health. Although none of us can be certain that explanting will solve our health issues, I know for certain that having them doesn't help our health. I live the healthiest life I can. Filtering my air and water, buying organic food, voiding all fragrance and purchasing non toxic products- so I knew that having silicone bags in my body was not a good thing for me.
I did notice positive changes from explanting and I feel so happy that it is done. I don't have to have surgery to replace my implants every ten years now, and the pain I felt is gone.
Just know that for many people, they may not experience massive health changes right after (as is often shown on the internet). I hope that your surgery goes very smoothly! My best, Megan

I’m so sorry you’re experiencing all these horrible issues. Wishing you great health after the implant removal. Wanna hear something crazy? All the symptoms you have, Im having, but I never got implants. I think my symptoms are from my mirena I had for a LOOONG time. I finally got it removed I think 5 yrs ago and just started to feel a little better about a year ago. I think with me there’s other factors as well maybe idk. But anything foreign in our bodies that’s just not suppose to be there is going to cause problems down the road. I learned that the hard way! Also when I had my mirena removed there was a great amount of women going through what I was going through and still am going through even though I had it removed. There was a huge class action law suit against the mirena. CRAZY RIGHT?! I was never compensated though. I just want my health back. I know you’re strong and I’m strong, Soooo… Here’s to getting better girl!! 🥂

Thank you so much for your comment and I hope your health continues to flourish.
Our bodies can have a similar reaction to so many different foreign objects, or inflammatory substances.
I think that’s why it can be especially difficult to get to the bottom of Issues… And it’s also often times more than just one thing.

I want to say that, first off, I only started to follow you because of the dogs. I know you make other videos about this and that but, the dogs really grabbed my attention. Especially because I miss my dog so much and it’s always so nice to see yours. I especially love to see them running free in such a nice home and to be cared for by such a nice person.
I’m up late and I saw this. I have to tell you that real men don’t need a woman to have breast implants. I don’t even like the idea of them. Not in a snobby way. But because they’re dangerous.
Besides, I love women and think they are most beautiful when they’re natural. Any shape breast is wonderful. And you are a lovely lady.
I only hope that your surgery goes very well and that you can escape all of these horrible feelings and side effects. But, don’t apologize for the emotions, anyone watching appreciates your raw truth. Get well soon and hug a little yorkie baby for me.

I had my explant done 6 days ago and my surgeon is affiliated with a local hospital network. My insurance actually covered it! General anesthesia. My implants were 16 years old. 😓 I feel so much better already! I recommend finding a surgeon in a hospital and seeing if your insurance will cover it. Explain your symptoms.

Another big trigger is electromagnetic radiation. I had MANY symptoms, including tachycardia, tinnitus, swollen glands, dizziness, etc. and was on my way to going bald, literally. I gave up Wi-Fi and put my phone on airplane mode, hard wired my lap top, stopped radiating myself, major detoxed and here I am three years later my hair is thicker than ever and at a cellular level I feel I have almost completed the long road to healing. Did it require life style changes? Yes. Was it worth it? Absolutely.
I, too, have traveled the mold/chemical/leaky gut/candida road so I know all about healing myself. This prepared me to discern what was making me sick and causing me to age rapidly: radiation! The cell phone is a radiation device. Wi-Fi is a military grade weapon. Neither is safe. Even baby monitors operate with WiFi. This should be against the law but once again, Big Industry wins out over human health. Blessings and peace. ~marie

Per usual it’s really never just one thing.
I think people often think it’s implants, or mold, but often times it’s a mixture of several.
There’s really no need to identify just one thing, as it’s really all about Getting that overall toxic burden to be lower.
And yes, of course, I check my levels frequently. Thank you so much. :-)

I just had mine removed a month ago. You’ll be okay! You’ll be amazed with how good it feels to get them out but just as easy you’ll forget how uncomfortable they were. I am curious if a replacement would have done the trick. In a relationship aspect it’s a bit of a mental battle to get over but in time you’ll get used to seeing your self with a natural breast. And just be okay with having emotional days. I tell myself I can always get them again if it feels worth it. I still have my night sweats. And a lot of it I think is hormonal due to age or in my case a workout aholic . Definitely take them out but maybe a replacement could do the trick?

I’ll have to look for your new video after healing a bit from the removal. I have CIRIS and the HLA-DR gene where your body doesn’t detox right. I unknowingly was working and living in hidden mold. I was doing kinda ok and the surgery pushed it over the edge for me. I have had health issues my whole life so when I developed symptoms for my breast implants, I didn’t relate them to my implants. I got them 2008 when we barely used the internet and then replaced Dec 2015 same style & brand just thought I was doing the right thing. However they don’t replace the scar capsule! I know I would’ve always had issues having CIRIS but the implants have caused me so much more sickness then what would have happened. I can’t wait to get mine out. Just wish the Black Box Warning ⚠️ was on the implants before I got them. I would have chosen not to.
