The director of AMRIT health initiative of the Ajeevika Bureau, Pavitra Mohan is a pediatrician and public health professional. He brings extensive clinical, training and research experience of over eighteen years. He has worked for a leading NGO in south Rajasthan and has even worked with UNICEF. On 13th November, hear him talk about why malnutrition levels in India are double than that in Sub Saharan Africa!

High carbohydrates, oily, and belief that "vegetarian" food is "healthy" is an added anathema for India. Animal proteins are exceedingly low in the Indian diet, a reason for both under and over-nutrition in our country. These added to poverty and lack of education is what needs to be overcome.

Problem is how you tell Indian to change their cooking habit with Curry?
I do not agree to your point of meat consumption leading to better growth. This is a medical myth as per recent evidence. I fact cattle aggravate poverty and water sources. My own daughter is gowning taller than all other meat eating kids - on vegan diet. Protein can very well be gotten from plants, millets.

There are studies showing meat eating countries having taller people. Also studies which show meat eating increased average height.
U shouldn't generalise based on 1 example of ur daughter, u don't know all the factors at play
