I put these on my octane and found them too loud, I was setting off car alarms just rolling down streets and leaving my apartment complex. And living in Southern California with all of its insane noise laws it was only a matter of time till I get pulled over. Put the stock mufflers back on after 3 days. Currently saving up for Crusher Maverick 2.5" Slip On Exhaust.
Hi Rob, could you describe the process to take the stock mufflers of and these new ones on as well? I am particularly how you got the new ones on, I guess no welding was involved nor glue and all? :) Thanks!
Marco Oudshoorn The process was fairly simple. On the side where you see the exhaust bolted to the bike, loosen the bolts. Afterwards, I sprayed LOTS of WD40 on the pipes. I waited about 10 minutes, took a rag, covered the tip of the exhaust and began pulling back and up and down eventually the top one slid off I then moved to the bottom and repeated the process. To get them on, nothing out of the ordinary was needed. They slid right on where I removed the stock pipes. I positioned them facing down and out a little, then tightened the bolts down. No special tools or welding needed. Just bolted right up.
Nice. It looks really good on the bike. They don't make one with a similar style for the Gunner's or I'd have been all about it over my current backrest.
This one here: www.ebay.com/itm/Victory-Vegas-Kingpin-Highball-8-Ball-Motorcycle-Luggage-Rack-Backrest-USA-Made-/231854912116?fits=Make%3AVictory%7CModel%3AVegas Pretty similar, but I like the two supports coming up the back of the rest and especially the driver's backrest. I'd kill for a little back support.
MDS2147 No problems as of right now. Since I am otherwise stock, no need for the tune or other mapping. Once I get the air box I'll have to get a fuel controller though.
I got it when I bought the bike in 2016. This particular bike was destroyed in a house fire in late 2017. I ended up buying another Octane a few months ago and can't find a backrest like that one anywhere.
Eric Pineda The manufacturers site said no tune required, but you get lean pop when it gets hot. I uploaded just a map and the lean pop was gone. I’m sure if you upload a tune as well you’ll feel a big difference
Rob Fox that's sweet. Do you know the sound difference from the bike having no mufflers, compared to the shorty mufflers? I love the price on the ones you have
Ended up ordering these slip ons after watching the vid and ITS DOPE!! Real head turner
OH BET THE NEIGHBORS LOVE YOU.
I installed these radiant pipes yesterday! Awesome👊🏾😎
Victory made beautiful bikes. Nice bike Rob.
Crazy good sound !!
Really nice sound
Gorgeous sound

By chance for sale? My buddy is interested.
Sure they are for sale, little scratched up from rolling around in my trunk but nothing too noticeable.
Krumar how do they sound while driving?
They mellow out during a ride. just idles aggressively.......like most bikers love. Most
Motorcycles don’t have a noise ordinance in Cali bud only cars
Did you paint them to match the paint from the exhaust?
Beautifull bike, i'm french and i wanna buy the same bike, where are y buying accesories ?
Hows the ride quality when riding with a passenger?
The add for these gp shorty state the bike needs to be recalibrated any thought on that??????

Awesome thanks Rob! On my way now to the hardware store to get some gallons of WD-40 :)
Ok I just bought one and want to update the seat and exhaust where can these be found 5 years later
I love the dual backrest with the luggage rack, where's it from?
Kenny, I have the dual backrest on my Octane as well. It's from Victory as part of their Octane accessories.
Thanks. It is from Victory. I negotiated it in with my purchase.
Nice. It looks really good on the bike. They don't make one with a similar style for the Gunner's or I'd have been all about it over my current backrest.
Kenny, what backrest are you using on your Gunner?

Have you had any issues with the exhaust? Dyno/ tuner? Sounds good.

To be honest you don't need to get the air box. All you ned is to take a drill to the current box so it takes in more air.
Do you think the driver backrest seat is really worth the upgrade? Pretty pricey but I’m thing about doing it
100% yes.
Where did you get the backrest for the rider? I can't find one anywhere!

@@zdayishere hopefully this time you didnt put el cheapo radiant turds on the new one!
@@ZombieZim713 haha. I like the cheap radiants. But I went a little more expensive this time.
Do these give any performance gain?

Do the shorties have baffles in them?
brap17x Yes they do have baffles...but barely any.

I didn't get a video of it, but it is VERY similar. I love loud pipes, so this delivers what I wanted, but I can understand if people don't like it.
Rob Fox Ive decided im going to spend big... buying the stage 2 full exhaust from victory for the octane and the performance intake. Wish me luck
Hi.. i order thia once for my bobber 2018 .. just wondering i need tunne up or not ?
No, you will not need a tune up
It sounds like my neighbors lawn mower.
Then your neighbor has a kick ass sounding lawnmower!
Not bad for $100
Sounds like sex!
Bad 👎🏼
