California's Cuban Buffet Feast @ Habana Restaurant | Irvine Spectrum

- Los Angles is quickly becoming my go to place for amazing buffets! While Los Angels is known for it many great eclectic eateries, it is also home to some stunning buffets that even rival those in Vegas! During a visit to LA to explore the city, we happened to have come across surprisingly great places like Cafe Sierra at the Hilton UniversalCity and the Dekkadance Restaurant at the Intercontinental Hotel where incredible seafood offerings such as endless lobster and king crab buffet were served.
This time we are on the search for some Latin American inspired cuisine and happy to have found a Cuban Buffet Feast in the LA Metropolitan area at the Habana Restaurant in Irvine California. We feasted to a stunning array of seafood, a bounty of meats, and spectacular Cuban desserts while dining in an atmosphere that showcases Cuban hospitality at its finest. With the meticulously designed dining room, the festive music, and the gratuitous service from the hosts, this brunch takes you back to one's ideal vision of Cuba. While there were too many dishes to try, we were tipped off on the luscious ox tail and the cloud-like tres leches cake.
At the time of this writing, the Sunday Brunch Buffet was priced at $49 and if you happen to catch the early seating, the price is an amazing $35. If you do get to visit, try for the early seating as it gets very busy later in the day. Also, a early meal means you have some time to walk it off in the Irvine Spectrum afterwards.

I have eaten in Cuban restaurants, but have never experienced a Cuban buffet. Everything was so beautifully and colorfully presented and I could at least experience vicariously the deliciousness of it all.
I really miss this place.. I hope they are doing well and can't wait to visit again! That oxtail was delicious!

Such a nice atmosphere and the menu was quite different than most brunches. It was a lovely place and looked amazing all the way to the desserts!

Tim Lee FYI After further review, Habana has another location in Costa Mesa which is not too far away from Irvine Spectrum. I’ve had a nice dinner before with my brother at the Costa Mesa location. Apparently they do a Sunday Brunch at Costa Mesa as well. Yes Orange County is technically not Los Angeles but it’s all Southern California. We are lacking when it come to Buffets.

Wow! This looked great! What a selection. Really nice setting as well. I’d take this over most of the Vegas buffets. In fact, it would be interesting if Vegas themed their buffets like they used to.... well, there’s always Paris Casino! Haha! I’ll have to check out this buffet next visit to California.
Great point Rick! Yeah, the Vegas buffets are quite similar to each other, not too much variety. We really enjoyed Habana as it was something quite unique...and tasty 😋

The early brunch is now $39. We went there after watching your video. The food was great! Also, the buffet (main dishes) was moved indoors, nothing was served outside.

When we went in summer of 2018, they didn't have half of these things. There were no coconuts on display, no roasted salmon, no crab legs, no tri tip. We went because of another video we saw where the selection looked amazing, even with avocado toast as an option. During our visit, we had to talk to 2 different managers just to get some sliced avocado. When asked why they were missing so many items that other people had shown on video and picture, they said they change the menu every weekend. We left feeling disappointed and robbed of money. Hopefully they've improved for the price they charge.

$35 dollars sounds good to me for this buffet, however, whenever I go to a buffet, I always make sure that they have "ICE CREAM" no "ICE CREAM, I SCREAM". lol. Nice video Tim.

I make a pretty good Oxtail Stew. However I am going to try roasting some. The roasted parsnips look to be another to make. Ahh bacon chips. Usually I duck out at dessert. Good place. Best

This looks amazing! What hours do they operate the buffet? It looks like every dish you showed they were always so clean and fresh! Is this reservation only?
Thanks so much again! I think they start at 9am. I believe if you get there before 10:30 or 11am, you get the early seating price which is quite nice :-) I also does get quite busy later in the day so early is a good choice. I would make a reservation just in case (we made a reservation).

Ox tails, yum. I knew you would like those . They are melt in your mouth goodness when cooked properly with a little fat on them. I would probably hurt myself trying to taste all the delicious food.
