2. It is a redox reaction because HCl is oxidising because there is loss of hydrogen and NaOH is oxidising and reducing and oxidising both because hydroxide is the product of hydrogen and oxygen and there is loss of hydroxide.
You can also remember it as:
O - oxidation
I - is
L - loss of electrons
R - reduction
I - is
G - gain of electrons
