"thought they were a heavy band".... give that man some Dyer's Eve, or Blackened. And then turn right around and expose him to the original S&M concert version of 'Outlaw Torn'....
The story I heard was Hetfield was talking on the phone and because all of the first notes are open strings he just started to mindlessly play it as he was speaking with the other person and he just progressed it from there.....also one of the few tunes where Hetfield plays the solo instead of Hammett
Fade to Black, Master of Puppets, Disposable Heroes to mention just a tiny fraction of their numerous bangers...it’s the deepest and most amazing rabbit hole in music
This is the song that divided fans. A lot of fans who listened to Metallica from their "Thrash" beginnings hated it & new listeners who heard this as their first song loved it.
i still get goosebumps listening to this song, its truly one of their masterpieces. office bloke daz you are correct in that metallica are a hard rock band but on every album they have a slow song like this. try fade to black from the album ride the lightning, welcome home sanitarium from master of puppets and mama said from load. all quality easy listening from metallica, if you want something heavier from them try master of puppets (the song) for whom the bell tolls and the thing that should not be. it would be great if you guys could also react to some megadeth (tornado of souls) , machine head (davidian) and sepultura (refuse/resist) all 3 of them were part of the big thrash movement from the mid 90's. keep up the good work guys
Once again, great reaction. The bloke on the left (You would think I would know your names by now) is spot on about how the song came to be. I highly recommend you check out the song "Orion" by Metallica. It's an instrumental that takes you on a journey through outer space. Very well done. A touch on the heavy side but it makes you feel like you are on an intergalactic journey. No lyrics are needed. Their old bassist, Cliff Burton who was killed in a bus crash shortly after this album released has said this was his greatest song he helped compose. He has a beautiful bass part in the middle of the song which was his favorite riff. I hope you check it out some day.
The strings section of *_Nothing Else Matters_** and *_Disarm°_* are the two songs that got me to love a strings section in Rock and all its sub-genres.🎻 *being Metallica, °being The Smashing Pumpkins
Hi lads the black album came out in 1991. My personal fav album is and justice for all which i bought the day it was released back in 1988. I am 47 now and still my fav band
You really need to listen to hardwired..to self destruct. Remember how Ride the lightning, and justice for all as well as Master of puppets was like getting punched in the face for 70 minutes? Yea, its a lot like that.
Would love to see you do something from the original S&M concert , where Metallica played with the San Francisco Philharmonic Orchestra. “The Outlaw Torn” or “Bleeding Me” are two personal favourites.
You should check out Orbit Culture. I suggest Open Eye or Nensha. Nensha is trilogy of songs, all three have videos and tell a story. Nensha, Rebirth, and The Shadowing. The band is so talented, and have inspirations of some of the greatest bands out there. They also have a cover of Metallica's hardwired to self destruct and it's a solid improvement
If you want something heavy you cant go wrong with BLACKENED or MASTER OF PUPPETS. If you want more epic epic songwriting check out their other masterpiece ORION. I named my son after that.
Do you lads know that james hetfield is ranked in the top 20 (i think) the greatest rhythm guitarists ever. I would say listen to.. Fade to black The day that never comes. Master master .....master of puppets. wherever i may roam seek and destroy and of course. ORION
i always wanted to be an audio engineer when i was a kid, i dont know why? i just one two, one two. 30 years on i know an audio engineer from prauge, he's a czech one two
There is a cover version of this song on youtube, a young Canadian (?) gjrl singing, a German girl on the drums all in their countries and in their studios. Brilliant. Don`t have to checkit out on this channel, but listen to it! It`s worth it! Eh, sorry, no drums, only piano.
Theres 2 styles of Metallica: the heavy thrash metal, and the more mellow rock/traditional rock. No matter what anyone says, both are awesome when these guys do them. You could listen to literally ever track on the Black Album and not hit skip once.
Certainly one of my fav songs from Metallica. But ...... I'll keep trying (as one former office bloke to 3 others)...... I hope you can find the time to react to these TOP LINEUP OF MANY MUSICAL INTRUMENTS/SINGERS: The Source is the 9th studio album from *AYREON* , a progressive metal/rock opera project by Dutch musician Arjen (Ahr-Yun) Anthony Lucassen, released on April 28, 2017. *_"The Day That The World Breaks Down"_* is a song that features all 11 (quite well known) main guest singers and is taken from that album. Arjenhimself is telling (in subtitles) who the singers are and which instruments are used and by which standards. Btw. The clip is 13 min. Long and I think you won’t regret it !! Official (Arjen’s) clip: ruclips.net/video/oFuMKdrzPqU/видео.html
"thought they were a heavy band".... give that man some Dyer's Eve, or Blackened. And then turn right around and expose him to the original S&M concert version of 'Outlaw Torn'....
Or Battery
Just put on Moscow 1991, Hetfield unleashed
NEXT ONE. MASTER OF PUPPETS WITH LYRICS !!!
The story I heard was Hetfield was talking on the phone and because all of the first notes are open strings he just started to mindlessly play it as he was speaking with the other person and he just progressed it from there.....also one of the few tunes where Hetfield plays the solo instead of Hammett
It was a ex girlfriend he was on the phone with, when he got the idea for it., so yeah you're spot on mate.
That dude could have made sick music in any era. I always got a medieval-era vibe from the intro guitar for this song. Lol
I didn't know that!
Thanks glad you heard that story
Fade to Black, Master of Puppets, Disposable Heroes to mention just a tiny fraction of their numerous bangers...it’s the deepest and most amazing rabbit hole in music
Fuck yeah, Disposable Heroes is my favourite Metallica tune
No leaf clover is another very underrated metallica song
This is the song that divided fans. A lot of fans who listened to Metallica from their "Thrash" beginnings hated it & new listeners who heard this as their first song loved it.

Master of puppets (album) is them at their absolute best...bar none. The title track, Disposable heroes, and Sanitarium are AMAZING.
There is a lot of variety with this band. There is a huge divide that started with this album. I'm a huge fan of every Metallica era.
Just subscribed from way the hell up in the left corner of the states. Love the contents guys, thanks for doing them. 🤘🤘
you could do metallica 2 or 3 times a week for 2 months and still be finding more great work from them
Preach

The last album Lars played drums well.
That is complete nonsense.
Load and Reload are full of tasty drumming. St. Anger has some extremely aggressive drumming. Stop hating on Lars just because....
Love it 💜
Thank you 🎵🍷🤘🏻☮️🕊🇺🇸
unforgiven plss..........
1 and 2

Hi lads the black album came out in 1991. My personal fav album is and justice for all which i bought the day it was released back in 1988. I am 47 now and still my fav band

You really need to listen to hardwired..to self destruct. Remember how Ride the lightning, and justice for all as well as Master of puppets was like getting punched in the face for 70 minutes? Yea, its a lot like that.
Check out Metallica's Blackened
I got married to this tune. Master of puppets is the one....or look at the injustice for all album.
You might want to check out Metallica & San Francisco Symphony. Nothing Else Matters. Unbelievable!
As well as bass, did Mike learn how to play basketball from watching this vid?😆
Office Bloke Dave, check out their last two albums. They're badass.
Would love to see you do something from the original S&M concert , where Metallica played with the San Francisco Philharmonic Orchestra. “The Outlaw Torn” or “Bleeding Me” are two personal favourites.
The sound is amazing obviously, but the lyrics hit so deep.
You should check out Orbit Culture. I suggest Open Eye or Nensha. Nensha is trilogy of songs, all three have videos and tell a story. Nensha, Rebirth, and The Shadowing. The band is so talented, and have inspirations of some of the greatest bands out there.

This is such a good song from The Black Album, I highly recommend that you guys do Master Of Puppets. Great reaction by the way

Master of Puppets, Creeping Death, Call of Ktulu, Orion, Four Horsemen, Disposable Heroes, Fade to Black, ect ect. The 1st three albums were the best.
Certainly one of my fav songs from Metallica.
But ...... I'll keep trying (as one former office bloke to 3 others)...... *Dream Theater* - Enigma Machine (progressive metal)
You should try to listen to the S&M no leaf clover.
You guys should react Metallica - Master of Puppets - Live in Manchester (2019)
If you want to check out a newer Metallica song, listen to The Day That Never Comes.
It was song was about his girlfriend then said that afterwards was about the fans of Metallica.

Listen to master of puppets please.
pretty sure he wrote this after his burn accident?
Nah man. After that intro we gotta hear you react to some of the late 90s and 2010s stuff.
For sure
Please react to Scorpions "Still loving you".
Jason trying to get the ball in the hoop at 3:41 pretty much defines his career lmao!
Quick tip down pick the strings sounds better with Metallica
In this episode the guys get in touch with their inner 14 y/o
Marko Hietala. Isäni ääni- Voice of my father.
Hey! Can you please react to Edge of Midnight by Miley Cyrus and Stevie Nicks
It is great to see your journey continue. I'd suggest *Metallica - Creeping Death Live 1995 HD* You will love it.
Here is the link to Angelina Jordan's latest single "Million Miles" with Rebublic Record - ruclips.net/video/NhKRh5ZtuWk/видео.html
That's not far from the truth. Supposedly James dedicated this song to some chick and they put it on the album.
omg. that's so fresh and new, may be you'd also react on america the beautiful or happy birthday?
Funny fact: James Hetfield has recorded all guitars for this song!!!
Kirk Hammett is here only for video!!
React to anything they did in the 80s. This album is where they took a turn for the worse
I Honestly liked this Album. Although I got exposed to their earlier stuff at a young age
This album isn't even bad, you just don't know how to expand your taste lmao.
@@UndyingHatred_ “isn’t bad” doesn’t mean great, like their previous stuff. I listen to all kinds of music so not sure what u mean.
