i'm lost....abraham was my childhood role model for the bass but since I was coerced to learn piano and so only after 12 years (2015) being caged in a piano world I could finally pick up the bass....glad i have my freedom and this is bringing tears to my eye...keep up the good work miki... i'm getting there

Yes, there is no point in silly comparisons. It is not about "who is better". Both players are great and that's all. Such a great and inspiring jam; what else could we ask for? This is really awesome.

It's not about who's better. Abe is a legend and Miki is phenomenal. I believe Miki was ecstatic about the opportunity to jam with Laboriel. I know I would.

Can you please describe your gear?
You mean the gear I'm using in this video? Both Abe and me were playing Yamaha TRBX basses, mine is the TRBX 504 (4 strings) and Abe was playing a TRBX 505 (5 strings). Both basses are stock. I use Elixir strings and I think Abe was using D'addario strings. We didn't use amps or effects. Straight to the sound board!

Miki is awesome but being honest I don't see all the hype about Abe kind of over rated sorry just being honest
Abe is a legendary bassist, no doubt about it. But Miki sounds way much better to me. Catchy phrases, awesome groove and stuff.. Maybe it's just me, but i think now it's time for Abe to learn something from Miki.

NIL6300 Not for me,Abe's rythm playing was a lot better and without that the whole thing breaks down. Miki's virtuoso stuff was good but I think he was in awe of Abe. Ive heard him playing much cleaner than that.
NIL6300 this is so funny!!!!! are you for real? they are just enjoying not competing! Abe is "just" one of the Best Recording bassists of all time! just to name a few contributions of his: Ella Fitzgerald, Elton John, Herbie Hancock, Celine Dion, Cindy Laupert, Diana Ross, Michael Jackson and a HUGE etc. so yeah....it's time for him to learn from miki....funny guy
