What a well done video . I used to watch this channel for inspiration when I started weaving three years ago and for some reason was unable to find it for awhile . Thank you for leaving this up as a reference . Chee
Wow such beautiful scarves! I just bought my first Ashford Rigid Heddle Loom and it should be arriving next week!!! I took a class at a local wool store and made a scarf and fell in love. I look forward to making art as well as you. :) Thank you for sharing. :)
I was considering the 16” but I really like the size of a 20” scarf/wrap that I have so I’ll likely get the 24”. I love that yarn on both of your projects too! They’re both gorgeous.
Your scarves are lovely and appear relatively easy and beginner friendly!!! However I bought my first loom yesterday and have never woven before. Thank you for describing what yarns you used but would be most helpful if you could say what quantity of each that was required for each scarf and resulting scarf length. Thank you.
They are beautiful! What name is the colour you're using on the pinkish scarf your are showing at the beginning? Would love to order one like that! Great work, so pretty
@@rhinskeen981 thank you so much for the kind words of encouragement. Seems a little intimidating because I have never weaved before but I am sure it will be a meditative activity after a while :)
@@elizabethcattanach8556 I'm sure it will! The most complex parts are setting up the loom and taking off, the actual process is very peaceful, just takes some patience! I thought it would take me loads of times to remember how to warp up without the book, but it only took 3 before I could do it on my own!
I don't actually wet finish these scarves! Because the acrylic content is so high, I do a quick 30 degree wash with a small amount of detergent with scent boosters! When I use higher wool content yarn I will change my methods!
Hi! My loom is 24" wide, and to start the entire process took about three full days (not sure how much time exactly). But now I've done a few, I know for a fact a full scarf take 10 hours to make!

Beautifully photographed, beautifully woven and I am taken by your your choice of “combination” socks..
Thank you! My motto is that life is too short to match your socks!
That’s absolutely gorgeous! I look forward to doing projects like this someday.

Gorgeous! What soap do you use for your wet finish?

Woah that’s so cool to see how they are made! Do you have an online store where we could buy some?😃 they’d make great gifts!!
Hopefully soon!
This scarf is lovely. Did you just use one skein of each (i.e the warp and weft yarn)? If not, how many were needed?
What yarn do you use please is it a 4 ply and a do? If anyone knows thanks and love this Scalf!
Ah thank you for the love! the warp yarn is 4PLY! and the marble weft yarn is just labelled 'chunky'! I will put all the links in the description now!
Красотища!!!
Love this... What yard did you use?
If you mean yarn, it's all linked in the description!
Love them! I want to start weaving. What size loom is that? How long did it take to make the scarf?

@@rhinskeen981 how long do you warp for a full scarf?
@@Woolmouse Roughly 3 metres to ensure i can tie tassels and use all my weft wool!
What size Reeds are you using. Is that the one that comes with the loom (7.5)?
Yes! I haven't bought any more as the one that came with it works perfectly for me
Cheers not chee
