What is Wimbledon (2004) about?
Wimbledon is a 2004 romantic comedy film directed by Richard Loncraine. The film stars Paul Bettany as a journeyman tennis pro (once ranked 11th) and Kirsten Dunst as an up-and-coming tennis star. Sam Neill and Jon Favreau co-star. The film follows Peter Colt's final Wimbledon, where he meets Lizzie (Dunst) and regains his passion for the game.

I'm an Uber driver in LA. One night I picked up two women at night so didn't really see who was getting in to the car. The three of us chatted for about ten minutes before we were stopped at a well lit intersection. As the passenger sitting behind was saying something I looked up at her in my rear view mirror and realized that Kirsten Duntz was in the back seat of my car. She and her girlfriend were very very cool. Very gracious, easy to talk to and both just really fun.
Only in a romcom would a lone woman showering not immediately start to flip out when a strange man enters her room unannounced, but instead proceed to calmly and casually flirt with him as though it was the most common thing in the world.
After this, Bully Maguire put dirt in his eyes and he missed the shot
I love this movie. The two leads had wonderful chemistry, essential for a good Rom Com. And then throw in Sam Neil as Abby's father, a terrific ensemble cast, and witty dialogue and you have a recipe for greatness.
Paul Bettany is probably one the most under-rated actors ever. He always give incredible performances and to be honest even though Kirsten Dunst isnt a terrible actress at all he carries this movie

It’s funny how in real life Paul Bettany meets a beautiful American woman, marries her and moves to the US like his character in the film.

I've seen this movie 1000 times, own it on Amazon and will still watch it again as it scrolls across my feed on RUclips. Great dialogue, chemistry, humor, music, tennis, and everything else you could want in a rom com

I watched this movie when it came out (I don't want to do the math). I think it caught my attention because the commercials had one of my favorite songs, but that may have also been the Prince and Me around the same time.Haven't thought about it in years, highly underrated movie. THANK YOU for the memory!

I dunno why but i just adored this movie in high school but then again makes sense ive loved pretty much everything with kirsten Dunst since i was a child ❤ her filmography and roles are so iconic.
Hilarious, dude is one of my favorite actors since I saw him in a movie with Heath Ledger. A musical set in medieval times. A knights tale I believe. This looks cute, as does she. Worth checking out.
