Very helpful review, Taz! As a natural light blonde from a Nordic family, I look terrible in any dark roots. Even the Roca Margarita blonde rooting looks drab on me. So I’ve been buying platinum wigs and adding a pale shadow root and lowlights with several tones of light taupe Copic markers from the Art supply store. They look fantastic- like the color of a towheaded child’s hair. Where there’s a will, there’s a way! Your reviews are so informative; thanks for all you do!
This is the information I didn't know I needed! Thank you! My natural hair is a dark blonde which presents as neutral because it has gold and ash in it.
Hi Taz, I really enjoyed watching this video!! I like rooted colors and ashy blondes so it was fun seeing these features showcased & compared! Thanks for sharing🙏💋💐🥰
Roca Margarita Blonde is the color I have been wearing for the last two months or so. I absolutely love it; the rooting is outstanding. My husband says it's his favorite color on me, and I've been wearing hair for 20 years !
I agree the roots have improved a lot in the seven years I have been wearing. I’m not a fan of really dark roots with light blonde wigs. I guess that’s me being a former hair stylist and color specialist…I was always trying to take away roots back in the mid 80’s-90’s
I love this topic. This topic is the reason I steer clear of estetica blondes that have long super dark roots. Envy uses those roots as well. I think it is difficult to find cool tone blondes with a nice shaded root. I do like the Henry Margu 10/613GR. It is the best blonde with a root that I have found. I wish his lace fronts were more like the Belle Tress lace fronts.
Ah, now there you go, more up my alley (if I want a root at all, that is). Being a natural dark blonde and never having colored my hair during my lifetime, I am so put off by very dark roots. My favorite is Belle Tress Roca Margarita. For me, it not only has to be light, but also cooler toned, or at least neutral. Warm or reddish roots are awful and look so fake in fluorescent lights in stores. They just scream "brown plastic!" to me. Even on Butterbeer Blonde, the root has become much more neutral and more subtle in the last two years. It used to have a reddish tone. I'm really limited, I realize, so I've worn darker roots, though it's unnatural for me, because those were my choices. I really am interested in trying Tres Leches blonde! It's one I just haven't had my hands on yet. Malibu Blonde on JR is wonderful and Palm Springs Blonde is also a good one, though the latter has had some variation, for sure. I do feel that brands put on rooting because it's hard to make the colors come together in the parting space without a striping effect, or that's what the Jon Renau rep seemed to indicate when she was explaining to me why they added a slight shading to the formerly non rooted 24BT18. Good subject! ~Cynthia
I really like the first one, I would call that 'shaded' rather than rooted as it is so subtle. And you are right, they are a light brown when you lower the wig, but do look dark when you stand up again. The last one also has a very nice root to it.
This is great information. My favorite JR color is Malibu blonde because they lightened the root from 12FS8. And while brown hair might be more common, among younger women, almost everyone my age has white hair and the lighter skin tones that goes with that. I think, like so many other things, it depends. Thanks again.
Very helpful Taz! Rooting is my biggest problem with wig colors! I love and wear Ellen Wille styles but the blonde roots are too dark so I’ve gravitated to Belle Tress blondes. Every color looks good on you! 🤗
My favorite for ever ist champagne with aple pie. My color ist a middle blond and belle tress has this perfect rooting for womeen with a natural blond hair. It fits perfect to my skin tone. I will never aigain try something else. Thanks for the review Taz!
Hi Taz!! On the Sarah piece, Palm Springs Blonde, it looks grey/silver. Is it the lighting there or does it actually look grayish?! Many thanks as always!🌺🐝🌺
Some versions of Tres Leches have a really dark root on line especially on Dolce & Dolce. When I pull the hair back it looks like all dark hair with blonde ends and I like to wear my wigs up a lot!
Hi there! I buy my wigs from www.wigstudio1.com - you can explore the site for your color preferences OR you can email support@wigstudio1.com and they can help with some options! XOXO
Taz I am wanting to try Raquel wig spotlight. My question is do you have one in your inventory that you would sell at a good price?? I really don't care if you have had it a long time. I just don't want to spend the money for one until I know I will wear it. So that is why I am saying it don't have to be perfect. My color I wear is shaded biscuit. But I would go with another color if it is in the blonde family. Thank you
Taz, I absolutely love that wig on you. It's you!!! I have a question: What two foundations do you use and do you use a moisturizer under your make up? If so what moisturizer? Thanks Taz!! 😊
Hi Suzie! Lovely to see you! Right now and in this video I am using a Bare Minerals powder foundation dupe by ELF Camo Powder Foundation in 280N. I usually apply 2 coats, its nicely buildable. I don't use moisturizer, just a retinoid. But, my estetician gave me a sample of the ZO daily moisturizer and its nice! I'm not sure I am going to pay the price for it though.. the ZO skin brightening retinoid is also pricey, but it's the best thing I've used on my skin! Hope this helps! My skin is changing so quickly in last year or so I am having to rethink my skin care! XOOX
Would like to purchase my 1st wing I have thin hair I don't want anything that has to much hair also I always had short cut I read a lot on Raquel welch but I feel lost. What would you recommend for my 1st wig . Everything you try on looks fabulous on you I feel so lost please help. Thank you
This is a big question! I highly recommend the free consultation services at WigStudio1.com. Email support@wigstudio1.com for an appointment by phone or Skype! 😍😍😍
I love Jon Renau O'Solite wigs Nancy - they're very easy care and don't have too much volume so don't feel overwhelming. They're also an affordable option for beginner wig wearers.
Great video!! Taz I have a huge favor to ask. I'm looking for an in depth review of the Ellen Willie pixijku wig Aletta! Its measurements and style are perdect!
Was full White in 40's. Love 💕 it ,dk roots on everything looks like FAKE..look at Me..wig here. OR one has dyed hair + too lazy to go to salon for touch up. Bring back unrooted. Looks natural , complementary.
I love wigs with dark roots, but they are so popular that they run out of them right away. ☹ I'm in that situation right now. I ordered a wig with platinum hair and dark roots and the sale went through, then the next day they contacted me to tell me that they didn't have any more in stock and would have to wait until the manufacturer manufactured some more.
Hi Betty! I list the mannequins and the respective reviews in the description box for everyones convenience. Please let me know if you have trouble locating it! XOXO
Hi. Do you ever model wigs that are not blonde? I am trying to find a red wig and I love a lot of the styles you show but when I look them up they don’t have a red option.
Here is a video on why you see mostly blondes here ruclips.net/video/gm0F4G-qK20/видео.html But I do have an assortment of reds that I have reviewed in this playlist - ruclips.net/p/PLbxDoU0WKsraAeuwo-9FxoE9vSUO1hOV9
I have red hair. Strawberry blonde, actually. It does not look black by any means. I'm starting to go white now about 30%. I have had highlights years ago, and the growout just looked red.. never dark. Wig companies never get reds. I realize that redheads are a minority but dark rooted reds are just bizarre. Redheads never, ever have dark roots.
I'll give you points for trying to tackle this topic but it's the first time that I've been disappointed by one of your videos. Not as dark does not translate to light. Except for the first one, none of those colors would be acceptable to me. And saying "you really don't hate it, you only think you do" doesn't help. Acceptable for me would be a medium ash blonde root on a light ashy piece. Any shade of brown is too dark for my use. You're still one of my favorite reviewers but this one misses the mark for me.

Really appreciate the information as well as the style and color comparisons!
I really love the Tia Maria, I have 3 Finns. All are Beautiful on you 😙💖💖🐈🐈🐈
3 Finn's! Love it Michelle! 🥰🥰🥰😸😸😸

Another 5- star review! Thank you Taz so much for these rooted blonde comparisons. SOOO helpful!❤️
Thank you! I appreciate your comments! XOXO

Hello there! There's no gray in Palm Springs Blonde.. the toned white can come across gray or silverish, however in certain light. Blessings!! XOXO
How come I missed this? Thank you 😍

Hi beautiful Taz,
Love to purchase wig too but I have a light copper hair or strawberry blonde… do you carry in those colors?

Couldn't find Tia Maria by Belle Tress. The link went to a different wig also. 😮
They just discontinued Tia Maria. XOXO
I just don’t like the rooted wigs unless very light

Do you sleep any of your wigs
No, I don’t sleep in my wigs 😍
All pale blonde wigs should have dark or medium blonde! Easy peas for the companies!
Do you sell your wigs
I occasionally sell some of the wigs I’ve reviewed. I list wigs for sale at www.tazswigcloset.com😍😍😍
