Hmm.. I can't seem to get the help grid to stay. When I switch over to drawing the extrution volume the help grid vanishes... How can i make the help grid to remain?
Hi I have funny case using extrusion. It works fine only when it is crated inside created building. When I try to extrude shape located out side(out door) in project tree it exists. When I move it to inside the building it has no texture. I can see mash but it disperses after leaving it in place when it spouse to be located. I'm using Evo 8.0 64-bit version.
I would recommend you to build it, otherwise you might have a hard time finding a proper 3ds model that fits between your rooms. Try this tutorial as well to build a simple and a spiral staircase: ezzatbaroudi.wordpress.com/2015/03/01/dialux-evo-tutorial-10_using-powerful-tool-copy-and-arrange/
That is really cool. But I want to draw something more complicated and specific for a job. the stairs must rise to a platform which leads to a walk way at 90 degrees, then another 90 from that and then another, somewhat like a spiral but repeating itself rectangular up a shaft. Maybe an explanation in these comments for my problem. Sometimes writing it out helps.

How do you put that opening on the floor of the second floor so the stairs can connect the two floors?
+Matheus Ribeiro there's a cutout tool on the tools tab

I think I figured it out I need to make separate extrusion objects, that worked. Now to get the rise correct.
