I thought about heading out there for a second this morning . .But I couldn't get motivated Well you got me motivated now, fishing is harder work when you get old. Might go Monday if the wind stays down. Darn. it would have been cool to meet you guys I subed a couple years ago. I did order a sweat shirt to support your channel. Might want to do a whisker trip with you this summer. Peace out.
Glad we can give ya the motivation man! Hope ya can get out soon and get on em. Should be a good bite for a while. Definitely let us know about a whisker trip. Thanks for the support tight lines!
When I was in my late teens/early 20s, that peir was shoulder to shoulder when the kings came in. (56 now). We also fished at the paper mill, known as the stink hole back then. Unfortunately we was there about a week or two, too soon. My buddy did get to land one while at the paper mill spot. Years later, we now fish around Tippy Dam but I'd still love to get into some of those chromers. The darker ones still put on a hell of a fight and that's what keeps us coming back. We do pretty much catch and release on the salmon in the river systems.
I've been watching these vids across RUclips on jigging for Kings .....which I wasn't aware existed at all.....Everyone is raving big time about it.... I am craving to do it now....I want in on that big rave!! 😃💯💯
I use the Wolf river off the pier 3 ft drop 3 ft leader #6 hook put a small hunk of my coffee cup on and a dead alewife so it floats did very well with that
Very cool love that type of fishing,it’s neat to see how techniques change over the years. I enjoy watching your videos it makes me miss the salmon and trout fishing. Thanks for bringing it back to me and the rest of your followers.
I have to thank you for the videos last year of your freshwater drum fishing we had a ball on the Muskegon pier catching them and I must tell you they are excellent smoked. Better than whitefish we think. So again a big thank you from me and my daughter Jamie.
Would certainly appreciate a heads up when the drum start hitting. I know it is temperature dependent as I also know it is probably not going to be on any of the online fishing reports, at least none I know of.
Can you point me in direction in how you made those rod holders I can’t find any info about it. Did you make or buy them can you tell where you bought them if you did. Thanks you guys are awesome 👏
Unfortunately I just bought them at a random bait store. A lot of bait stores near the piers will sell em tho. If not I have some made from pvc pipe that work great
What bait did you use? nice video bro!. I was fishing @ Waukegan harbor not getting luck with the spinners/spoons sadly. need tips to catch my very first salmon/trout
Are these pink eggs for sale in Walmarts or where? I don’t recall ever seeing them. If I go fish with nightcrawlers and red worm in late summer/early fall might some still bite
Been watching you guys for a while now. I’m a Michigander myself. If there are any tips or anything you guys could give me for chasing some big flatheads this year, my brother and I would greatly appreciate it. Love your work man. Keep it up!

Do u add foam balls to your spawn bag to float it up?
was on the same pier. nice vid btw!

Just some welded ones I bought from a bait shack. Pvc, straps and some rebar works also. Thanks!
Just came across this video. Pretty cool!! Where abouts in Michigan are you located? You guys surf fish at all? Or just pier fish?
Nice! We’re on the west side of the state. We do a little bit of everything thanks for watching!
When do you guys use this rig vs the other rig where the barrel swivel is free floating on the main line?
Fishing bottom vs suspended

No they are taken & cured from fish we caught. Night crawlers work occasionally
I would like to see how you make those rod holders that stick into the pier, with measurements.
We just bought them at a bait shack years ago! Pretty easy to make with pvc and rebar tho
Is that S. Haven ?
Are those rebar stakes on pvc for rod holders
Some are! Others just stakes and PVC

Never tried pier fishing perch. May have to add that to the list!

West side of Michigan mainly
Which pier is this? We live in Michigan. My husband and I are planning to go pier fishing this week. We love your video.
Grand Haven I'm pretty sure
South Haven
Also do you know when coho season ends and steelhead start?
Steelhead can be caught off the piers most months. Summer run starts around July cohos go all spring!
Grand Haven pier?
Looks like it
If you don't mind me asking what pier are y'all at?

Average size coho here in st Joseph Michigan on lake Michigan.
How big to coho get
Mature they can get around 15lbs, spring they normally max at a few pounds

Brown trout!

Lake Mi
Ever seen a brookie from the big water?
Nope

I did a full rig rundown with bait in this vid?
Does shrimp work for cohos?
Very good some days!
