Thank you...great info!!! I have a question for you, I have a reservation in Orrison for April 2, 2020. However, the weather might still have that way closed. So, my quandary is: cancel Orrison and book in Valcarlos or just keep the reservation and forfeit my $ if I can't get to Orrison.

Thanks for watching! That’s a tough call. Personally, I’d keep the reservation at Orisson and risk losing my money in the case of bad weather; going up and over the Pyrenees that way is just so rewarding.

I love your videos. thank you. do you have any suggestions about how to go down steep downhills safely . I killed my knee and had developed tendonitis by the time I hit estella. i'd doing the portugese Camino next summer and while it isn't has harsh as the CF there are still some pretty steep declines.

Thanks for watching! My best advice is to take the downhills at an angle (not quite side ways). I felt like I always had more control that way, especially if I stared slipping. Also, I would usually take one step, plant my walking pole, and then take another step. It’s not quick, but it’s safer! Buen Camino!
