Wheels shopping is hard, I get it, and with so many options, even multiple options from the same brand, finding the right wheel for you can take a lot of work.
For instance, take this TE37 SL, and Gramlight 57CR, both made by rays engineering, but both very different.
So what MAKES these wheels different?
Well the TE37 SL comes in at around $900 a wheel. A steep price. While the Gramlight comes in at around $500. That’s a $300 difference, for what?
And it all comes down to the manufacturing process. This Te37 is a forged monoblock wheel compared to this gramlight which is a cast wheel.
On an 18x9 wheel, the TE37 weighs 17.3 pounds and the gram light weighs 19.4 pounds
So because of this substantial weight difference, you can also factor in rotational mass which means using gram lights on your car mathematically adds 22 pounds per wheel when driving!
Aside from the weight saving, the durability of a forged wheel will always beat a cast wheel.
So would is the price difference worth it? Let me know in the comments!

900-500=400
You’d think if you were going to spend time to make an informative RUclips video you would make sure every aspect of said video was accurate.
Should be called gramheavy. 😅
900 - 500 = 300? Hm.
I like both 57drs and te37s. I just ordered a set of Mach yellow 57drs from you guys yesterday. But the problem with TEs is they are never in stock anywhere and most people are really impatient lol. I wanted the dash white time attacks but I didn’t want to wait for potentially months. And remember, most stock wheels weigh 30+lbs so when you’re going to a 20lb wheel you’re saving 40lbs in rotational mass which helps a lot. I say around 20lbs a wheel is light. Even though the faces are cast and barrels are rolled they’re still a very durable wheel which is why you see so many drifters running them and you’ll see them all beat up from tandems but no nicks or dents.
Nice math bro..😂😂😂😂😂
Guys chill he said 300$ so you’d do exactly what you’re doing and comment lol.
You know what up 🙈
No he’s just too lazy to go back and fix it.
