the thing is a while back i had a dream about an ai generated commercial that was absolutely failing on every level (though it was for McDonald’s rather than Coca Cola)
this is one instance where i am more than happy to let my dreams be dreams
As a 3D modeler who could make models for ads like this (ads not made by AI) this makes want Coca Cola less. The AI did a pretty half assed job, too. The faces on those people look like nightmares
This had to have been made to create a press splash. It’s ridiculous but now look how many people are talking about it.
Exactly what I thought
what “press splash” mean? I’m studying marketing you could really help me out
They say all press is good press but rly thats only when youre small and want to become a household name, if youre big like this pissing people off surely cant be profitable?
It just means when a lot of people are talking about it@@gianlucafabri189
It’s so crazy how having no advertising does better for coke than having this
Again, AI is not magical in the slightest, so nice try, but no thank you.
AI is magic to anyone who doesn't have a bias towards hating it
As a software dev, it is very much magic
@@othercryptoaccountso use that “Magic” to actually solve problems that people WANT solved instead of trying to cash in on a pointless technology that will never gain mass appeal and instead threaten the livelihoods of people who have cultivated a talent for years on end.
@othercryptoaccount Nah, it isn't, and it has nothing to do with hate. Have fun with Establishing Shot The Movie lmao.
@@othercryptoaccount AI is not ready to do this stuff. AI is a tool but if you just let a tool make a product.. it will be nothing.
While software wise this is cool.
For physicist the nuke is magic and cool, but for everyone else it's terrifying.
So no.. these ads just feel wrong.
@@ooombasa5080 It has everything to do with hate
It will be more undeniable every year so I'll talk to you in 2, 3, or 5 years
They don't look "happy", they look like an alien mimicking the facial expression of human happiness after only seeing but not feeling it. It's forced and, frankly, unnerving. At least the CGI animals are something we're somewhat used to. There's a reason animated movies still use stylized humans, the uncanny valley plays a big roll there.
The AI didn't do too bad, but it looks weird and creepy because you can tell that they aren't real people. The smiles are just not right and the dad blinks so quickly lol.
Its not just that imo, theyve had cg stuff before that looked almost real and didnt feel crappy like this. Actual artists put a lot of work in to get facial expressions and body language right in cg, but ai just badly mimics examples its seen before
Disney: Write that Down!!!
It looks soul-less, not even good quality
You have to be truly be void of ANY creativity if all you can come up with year after year is red trucks with lights on the side.
"And this kids, is when I became a pepsi drinker for life."
Fever dream coke ad 💀💀💀
The textbook definition of uncanny valley:
I used to prefer coca-cola, but holy shit, pepsi has a huge opportunity to dump a load of shit on them now and i hope they take it
i'll give you this: it doesn't look bad as i thought _at first glance_ (like most cocacola adds in the past have used a lot of cgi) but when you watch carefully and _look a around_ you can tell it's ai and it lacks a soul. Everything just feels... _off_ everything is so stiff, liveless and morphing...but idk... i think it was _bit_ more tolerable to watch at 1.25 speed but that is propably nicest thing i could say...it is still remarkable that an ai can make something like this... well happy holidays in advance anyways.
Love this Ad! Even though I like Pepsi more!
Everyone just smiling and laughing makes this ad so creepy af
I showed my grandma the explosion version and she believed it😭
All establishing shots because AI isn't actually intelligent and so can't do continuity without spitting out different shit.
Pure sludge
AI is so overused. Companies need to stop beating a dead horse. This poor horse is getting beaten in the afterlife.
Literally the only people who this will appeal to is tech moguls, if anyone at all.
Robot Chicken Santa: What’re those half-wits at Coca-Cola doing this time!?
When seeing this commercial i emediatly had to think of the robot chicken skit, its so good
They went so lazy
1:10 these are some nice rolling wheels
A trailer for Skynet.
"its always the real thing" sing the soulless grinning AI constructs
Coke, I get that you were probably running out of ideas, but don't use AI for Pete's sake
Also, you had the bravery to have the slogan as "real magic"
The moment to switch to Pepsi has come for me...
What a way to start the holiday season, they could at least PRETEND to have a soul💀
The 1995 Ad but you took 40 Benadryls.
Why should we bother with this ad and the product if you didn't even bother with making something meaningful ?
This likely was more involved of a process than the traditional commercials, more expensive too. The comment section has assumed entirely too much and it is embarrassing. I'm sad that AI ads might not ever get used because people are so ignorant of how it is done. This is NOT easy yall...
@@Pureenergyriftthe end result has no soul and doesnt feel genuine. You know how much work artists put in to make cg animations look and feel real, to have facial expressions and body language that feels realistic. But here its bland and so obviously made by an ai that can only mimic examples its seen before but doesnt actually understand what a human or a face even is
Instead of "where's wally" i now play spot the white man.
i absolutely hate it.
There is no future, and we are the past.
still in disbelief that we're ending the world for this
Better than the honda days ai ad at least
They better put the money they saved into saving some polar bears because they've just accelerated the melting of the pole caps.
The best Christmas present I could've possibly received is the reaction to this ad
I hate it here.
