      Personalmente creo que muchos salvadoreños (no me incluyo) que viven fuera miran su país con ojos de "romanticismo" (idealizándolo) una vez que se han ido, olvidando que El Salvador es lo que es: un país como todos, con sus luces y sus sombras. La cocina de la infancia se echa de menos siempre, precisamente por eso, porque nos evoca nuestra infancia. El clima subtropical de El Salvador es maravilloso... excepto en la estación lluviosa, que a veces, y cada vez más, puede ser más violenta y destructiva. Las playas pueden ser preciosas, sí, pero, pero sin una normativa específica que impida que algunas veces se conviertan en patrimonio de pocos (propiedad privada) o, en algunos casos, sin una infraestructura mínima (y ecosostenible) que permita su disfrute al 100%. La inseguridad ciudadana es galopante... igual que la pobreza y la brecha socioeconómica. Un sistema público de salud público y de calidad es inexistente. Lo mismo en lo que respecta al sistema público de educación básica, pero abundan los centros comerciales cada vez más parecidos a los de los países avanzados. En fin... Si queremos, desde fuera, podemos seguir creyendo que El Salvador es El Paraíso y que como allí, en ninguna otra parte se vive mejor... o podemos ser más realistas y recordar que puede ser un país hermoso pero con muchas carencias que nadie, que yo sepa, se preocupa por subsanar para el bien común. Aclaración: Antes de responder a este comentario, por favor, léalo con detenimiento, e intente comprender los verdaderos matices que he querido transmitir en su contenido. Gracias.

      @junoelbereth 3 года назад +2

      @@jeagia4462 Todo es totalmente cierto. Cuando uno está en otro país, en Europa, por ejemplo, y uno ve como la salud y la educación son simples derechos gratuitos de los que todos disfrutan incluso sin tener trabajo fijo o pagar cuotas es totalmente increíble. Y sí, la inseguridad es decepcionante en El Salvador, hay que estar alerta todo el tiempo, desconfiando de todo el que se sube al bus o en la calle cuando ya comienza a oscurecer... Otra cosa son las playas, eso de tener que pagar para sentarte y bañarte en unos metros de arena que alguien ya compró es una gran estupidez. Todo eso es lo que hace que uno no quiera volver, porque al recordar todas esas injusticias: la inseguridad, la falta de un sistema de salud justo y el desempleo... da mucha rabia, porque es un país rico en recursos naturales pero todo está privatizado... Es muy triste.

    Another difference is the eggs are not refrigerated. Everyplace stocks them on the shelves.
    Went to Super Selectos. Just like any large grocery store in the U.S., there's a whole isle of Toilet paper, but still almost impossible to find unscented T.P. I was surprised to see that Most items cost about the same. Cases of bottled water actually cost a little more than in the U.S. One of the saddest things I saw was the large number of stray/neglected dogs & cats.

    I’m so glad you liked the food. Too bad you had Fanta. Fresh fruit juice (ensalada) is the bomb. We do have awesome food. It’s hard to really get to know a country fully unless you live there for a while. I travel a lot and love to see how similar WE all are. We change the names of the food in every country.
