    I'm a casual Sombra player. Watch if you want to learn Sombra gamesense and you're not grinding to Top 500. Sometimes we learn more from someone just ahead of us instead of way ahead of us. Copy what I do well, avoid what I do poorly. Enjoy.

    I love they way u communicate to us how u think and making the fight seem like a conversation, esp. with the junkrat highground around 07:00

      Thank you, @EstherHiiragi! Yeah, we definitely hear about "Ultimate Economy" for who has-what-Ultimates, but ATTENTION economy is also important (i.e., "who's-focused-where) for teamfights. Thanks for watching!

    Lol it was nicely played. Though as I'm watching this it's quite annoying how many times you should've died but got improbably lucky due to other team unawareness, except reaper there. I wish I'd rival you as sombra in quick just to counter that

      That's true! I like to see how much the other team lets me get away with to see what my playstyle will be like. If they let me get away with a lot, then I'll keep going. Maybe we'll cross paths out there sometime!

    emm Why don't you hack first and then use virus. In her kit it says thet virus del as more damage when target gets hacked

    • @CasualSombra
      @CasualSombra  29 дней назад

      That's a great question--you're absolutely right! Virus does do faster damage over time to Hacked targets (plus gets the impact damage of landing the Virus). So why not, as a rule, Hack first then Virus? For me, it's situational. Sometimes I will, sometimes I won't.
      Short answer: Element of Surprise > Damage Modifier
      Better Answer: The Hack cast time is long enough to alert the target to my presence, ruining the element of surprise. As they're being hacked they often start dodging (making it harder to land the Virus), damaging me back, pinging me, running to teammates, etc. But if throw the Virus first, I am more likely to land it. They start taking damage immediately AND I can start shooting before they realize what's happening. I often find getting kills is generally more reliable if I throw Virus first (if I need to Hack at all).
      When do I Hack before Virus? If I need to stop abilities or encourage focus fire from my team. For example, if I get the drop on a lone Mercy approaching her team and she's about to round a corner and get line of sight to her team, I might hack her first to stop her from flying to safety, then Virus her, then shoot her. The initial Hack keeps her stuck in place. Or if a Cassidy is in his High Noon cast animation, I'll Hack to cancel it, then Virus to start damaging him. As for focus fire, a Hacked target becomes visible to my team through walls. So if there's a flanking Genji sneaking behind us, I might Hack (and ping) him first then throw Virus so that my team sees him and can follow up on my initial chip damage.
      Soooometimes I even find it best to Virus then Hack. That's if I need to stop an ability that could turn the fight around. For example, against Baptiste I will often Virus (to start damage), Hack (to prevent his self-heal and Immortality Field), then shoot.
      All this stuff is very situational. But it is helpful to have a few ideas in mind for what tools are useful in what conditions.
