I spent a whole month only doing this. I was something like 10 back then, it was one of my first "hardcore nerdy" (kinda?) moments. Its too good reading these comments and thinking at little 10yy old me struggling to ace that damn level. God i wish i was a child.
It's been ten years since I played this game. I've beaten Bloodborne, and every game in the Souls series. I've returned to my roots. With a tear in my eye, I whisper one word, and one word alone. Where it all began. "Wheel."
The Wilderness is by far one of the most subtle, yet large changes to any game I have ever played. Up until The Wilderness, it's all sunshine, stickers, and dress-up. Once you meet the Magician, though, he makes you realize: You are LittleBigPlanet's final hope. The King recruited you for a reason, to neutralize the enemy. The threat. The serial kidnapper, The Collector. You talk to the Magician, then, he warps you. This very suddenly changes the tone of the game. It gives you the sense that you really are out in the wilderness. You are out there on your own. No longer are you happily running along, racing incompetent mob bosses. You are out there for one reason, and that is to ensure the safety of the planet. I never thought, before reaching that point, that one single sound effect would make my heart sink, but... After making your way through the harsh reality of what is happening, as well as the harsh wilderness, you make it to the bunker. You are not alone. But there aren't any nice people around you either. There are full on missiles being launched at you. (Well, okay, they're actually pictures of Arnold Schwarzenegger, but...) You finally make them realize who the true enemy is, and the otherwise strongest man in that army gives you a good luck, and you're off, to by far the hardest level in the game. Sackboy somehow manages to make it through the treacherous wheels of death, only to find that, with his absence, everybody has been kidnapped. He frees them all, and moves on to the final battle.
Stone Heads Group I think in one of the early wilderness levels there's a section with missiles that get shot towards you, iirc, there's a sticker of him on them
That’s how I felt about the game but no one else agrees. this track is badass. I’m playing through it again hoping to be able to speed run it potentially in the future
You are not alone my guy. I loved this game in 2nd grade and looking back as a sophomore I’m so sad I will never experience nostalgia like this again. I feel an even stronger feeling from tomodachi life’s Christmas music. Being on a plane on my way to Idaho for Christmas with my 3ds in hand. the snow coming down. I was in 5th grade at the time and I’m holding back tears knowing I will never have that moment back. Feelsbadman
Honestly. The Bunker was one of my favorite levels in this game. That wheel at the end was a ridiculously tough challenge, but it was doable. Man do I miss this game.
played this game when i could barely read and i am only now listening to the ost and i've been hit by the nostalgia... but i'm 12, I guess you could never be too young for nostalgia
you know I remember at the beginning of this level there was a guy who said "good luck, you'll need it" and at first I was all like I don't need luck and in the end it took me a year to beat this level
The intensity and seriousness of this music is so perfect for where it is. This is the third to last level in the game. Following this, there will be one easy platforming level to tie up the loose story threads, and a final boss that many players will beat on their second or third try. But in The Bunker, you have one final go at a no-holds-barred platforming challenge, combining every difficult element from the game into one level, buffing them up all by a few points, and throwing more challenge on top of it. Some players may spend weeks, even months, here. The moment you spawn into this level, the silence punctuated only by the single synth track tells you that it doesn't get much more serious than this.
Goosebumps coming to me and I can't do anything but listening to that music, to these musics (if we're there, we all searched "LBP soundtrack" and we all fell on the same playlist...) I listen to these beauties, remembering my innocence and my joy of living as a child.... I remember so much things, that's insane. LBP was clearly one of my childhood's games. It's such a creative game, where you can do whatever you want. The musics, the landscapes, the enemies, the friends, the search for solution.... This is hard for me, as I moved from my country and my friends since this time. Listening to this is like time-travelling: I'm seated in front of my PS3, all my friends are around, everyone is laughing... we are having so much fun... i'm being so nostalgic... As I read the comments, I see that all the kids we were have grown up and are growing up... We all have the same feelings right now and this is amazing to gather so much people from different countries to feel together... This is LGP spirit.
I played that damn level for 4 years with the same friend. When we finally finished that wheel of death... Oh God that wheel... Well we just hug each other as it was so nice to finally beat that freaking level. That's what I call a challenge

It's funny because the people the come on these videos but didn't finish or even play the game are reading the comments like "the spinning wheel of death? what is that?"
i replayed all of lbp 10 years later and got through the wheel so easily, somehow it hurt even more than all the deaths my inner child suffered. Also the fact that i was too stupid to realise i could just walk on the middle non electric part whenever it was upside down was pretty painful too

AND I'VE ACED IT ONCE!
Iam writing late but: LBP 3 Final Level is called "The great escape" and it was probably the weakest of all Final levels in all LBP (in my Opionen anyway) My favrouite Final Level must be the "Re-Animation Station" from LBP PSVita.
@@jacobmccombs4530 Ok, maybe it is the worst LBP game, but worst game ever is pushing it a bit.
