    Awesome Matthias! for what it's worth I think the green canopy looks great mate and good effort indeed on the loops, much more control on the way down - don't be afraid to give some positive pitch on the way down in parity with the drop to prevent the 'falling look'. Good show ole pal - hope to see your submission for the 4/100 club - a nice video coming soon on this!!

      Thank you Tyger!! Yes, I am absolutely in love with this green canopy and I love to see my now green M4 max and my still orange M4 side by side. And thank you for your encouragement. Suddenly in this green dress (talking about the heli!! ) it made "click" and I gave it a try. Yes, the timing of the positive pitch feed when coming down out of the loop is still very unsure. I can't wait to "work" = play on this! As I love soo much to fly thes machines! More and more. Pls. explain the 4/100 club... I am missing something. No comprende, Amigo! :D

    Hi Matthias, nice to see you fly with the new canopy and that this canopy makes your loops bigger 🙃.
    I agree with you that a new canopy with a different color gives the feeling of a new helicopter. I love yellow and initially had a yellow canopy on my M2 EVO. But at the beginning of the summer, with the bright green leaves on the trees and the fresh grass in the meadows, my yellow M2 EVO often almost disappeared, so I bought a neon-orange canopy, now the visibility is much better. But with this orange-red color I often have the problem to recognize the exact orientation of the helicopter in the air...
    And my Vifly beacon always whistles when it shouldn't, too; even in the air it often starts beeping when I fly a few “harder” maneuvers, even though I have adjusted the sensitivity. Then I have to fly either a forward flight with a pirouette or a big loop to get it to calm down again.
    I wish you a nice summer.
    Happy flying
    Reto

      @jupi-aladin Hi Reto!! Thank you for understanding this strange phenomen of the new Canopy color that gives me the feeling as if it's a new heli! And it's funny: I went the same way like you: My first ever OMP heli was the M2 Explore in yellow. I have as well an M2 V2 and an M1 in yellow! And I had the same in summer - and finally went to the orange. With my Yelllow and pink M2's I covered the tail booms with some neon color gaffer tape and had much better orientation back and front when I put the pink canopy on the heli with the yellow tail. That gave a great help to see whats front and whats back! And so funny: I have the same with my ViFly beeper: Especially in gusty winds and a bit brutal maneuvers it starts beeping while I am flying. Only that mine never "shuts up"again. I have to land to switch it off and on again! You make exactly the same experiences!! Thank you very much!! I wish yiu as well a great summer and many happy flights!!

    Very cool! For me it's usually the other way around - I like orange more than others. For me, green is similar to the trees and bushes, I'm much more comfortable with orange. It's surprising and funny to know that some people prefer green :) I think it also depends on the flying field and conditions.

    • @RCCopterLove
      @RCCopterLove  2 месяца назад

      @lev_on_heli For me usually as well! But this green is so bright and neon like that this color does not really exist in the place where I am flying. On darker or more cloudy days I can still take the orange canopy. I take both to the field and decide which one is better! I have Orange Canopies for all my OMP helis, M1 EVO, M2 EVO, M4 and M4 Max Orange canopies! They are really standing out in the sky in any weather condition!!

    To make the loop bigger try to make it against some wind. To make it more round try to keep zero pitch during the second half of the loop.

    • @RCCopterLove
      @RCCopterLove  2 месяца назад +1

      @sttpod Thank you very much for your comment and your tip. I am trying to be in negative pitch on top, when the heli is inverted, then go to zero after the top and to give positive pitch when I am flying out of the Loop again. My timing is still bad and not consistent (no two similar flown loops 😀 . I think it needs a lot of training until it "sits" well.. Best greetings from Poland!

      @@RCCopterLoveif you go positive too early you will notice that the heli goes very fast after the loop. Try to stay to zero pitch for as long as you dare, you will see you have much better control of your speed

      @@sttpod This was the answer and explanation I was waiting for!! Already while reading this it makes sense because I am getting my eyes opened that with giving too early positive pitch I am accelerating the heli. I see it now: The heli is still more upside down than vertical and positive pitch increases the effect of the gravity!! Wow! Thanks!! I can't wait to try this tomorrow morning! Best greetings!!

    That's the same color of the one I still have in Kit Form. Beautiful. I haven't posted to you in a while Matthias as I've been busy with my woodworking. I got to catch up on three videos you'd posted previously though. It's kind of a cool thing to not watch for a little bit, then when I found the time, I get to see the improvement in your flying by catching up on your vids. I can see EVEN MORE improvement since I got to catch up! Keep it up, you're doing GREAT!! I'm a little more than half way through building my Goosky RS4 Venom. Once I'm finished with it, I'm going to finally start building my OMP M4 Max in GREEN. I even found a factory made OMP M4 Max Tailboom in GREEN as well on eBay! I guess it's only available in the UK. That's where this matching green one came from.

I just do it because I want to fly. But once I am done, I am so happy that I do not have to touch tools. I know it's untypical. But I really do not like this building too much. @@RCCopterLove Oh yeah! Still mostly in the front yard, but I have a video up of a small park flight. Since then I found a LARGE park, and it's a bit of a drive but it's perfect for Heli flying. I was able to really let loose and fly! I can do high speed 90 degree bank turns now very smooth, and do 3 backflips at a time keeping it at the same height before they start to widen out, and I lose that tightness. The front yard and being on the sim a lot the last month has REALLY paid off.

    • @RCCopterLove
      @RCCopterLove  2 месяца назад +1

      @@AnythingEverythingRC-rc1yc Wow, thats some impressing progress! 3 backflips in a row on one place.... respect. I never tried this! And it's great that you found a bigger park. Where you are flying makes a huge difference. If too many obsticles are hindering you or the shape is strange, not symmetical, you will feel in how you are flying. One side will always be worst. Not really because of us, but because space is limiting our freedom. I found my dream field - it's in this video. And the progress is coming faster! Have fun and a great time!!

    Excellent Mathias ¡ I can see that you are putting negative as the heli goes on the uside down part of the loop 👌, now as you come out of the loop you need to put more positive pitch to prevent the heli of going down and remain on the same altitude

      @arturosierra413 Thank you very much for your tip and comment, Arturo! I feel that my heli begins to fall too much when I am flying out of the top! @Rcheliguy Thank you buddy! Yes, this canopy and the concerption of the M4 Max that all three offered canopy colors are mathing to the colors on frame, tail boom and tailfin. I have to train a lot of collective pitch management. In my opinion this is the most tricky, also because it has to fit to all the other inputs like cyclic and tail. But the complexity is what makes flying helis for me so special!!

    • @Rcheliguy
      @Rcheliguy 2 месяца назад +1

      @RCCopterLove totally agree I love the challenge myself regarding flying and learning new tricks. Just a quick bit of info ref carrying out loops with the helis. As you may of seen in my videos I'm now able ro hold the loop for longer. The trick to this as I've been taught is to add negative pitch and hold it just as the heli goes over then adjust back to mid collective stick when bringing the heli back round this way the loops stay very smooth and big. Hope this helps mate. I'm down the field Sunday so I may do a video or two if I can. Happy flying bud 👍🏻🚁

      @@Rcheliguy Thank you, Buddy! Yes, of course this helps! But one big question: When, at what moment flying out of the loop you start giving positive pitch? I received some comments from other pilots, that I am giving too late positive pitch when the heli comes down from the top of the loop. I am a bit confused now 😅 Thank for clarification in andvance!!

    • @Rcheliguy
      @Rcheliguy 2 месяца назад +1

      @RCCopterLove to be honest it's just a feel thing. I myself was confused when I was being first shown. I just practiced and practiced and now I can successfully carry out 4/5 loops one arfter the other it's awesome just looks like a hoolahoop in the sky. I practiced going into the loop and holding the invert and then bringing it round this way helped me alot to get it nailed in. Hope this helps mate. Like I say practice practice 👍🏻🚁

    • @RCCopterLove
      @RCCopterLove  2 месяца назад +1

      @@Rcheliguy Yes, this helps a lot my friend! I already felt this way! And if we are honest: it's the same with everything we have learned so far. Circles, figure 8'ts, turns. It's very hard to explain how much of cyclic - and which, aileron or/and elevator you have to give in a turn and how much rudder/tail you have to add, right? It's like you say: You have to do it, to try it in different ways, not all the time the same over and over until finally you feel what has to be done! Thanks a lot and all the best. I will try the way you discribed with holding invert a while. This give a bit more time to get the timing nailed!! All the best!!

    My word of advice to you sir , stop thinking so much about the loop , let your hands use muscles memory . The goal is not to think about anything , it’s to just fly. As soon as you start thinking to much you over correct and over react. Especially if you’re thinking to yourself oh I should be more left , or second guessing your orientations. Watch your flying improve 10 fold . If you can hover in all orientation without thinking about the direction of the heli . That’s the game changer .

      @HeliNoobRC Thank you very much for this good advise! I experience many days, when I am only flying and when I am in the flow of just being in the moment! On other days I am thinking and analyzing more, probably because I am not flying for a very lomg time. It's now my 4th season ao a lot of new challenges are in front of me! Thanks and many happy flights!
