he has aged well. and will go down as a great guitarist like brian may, jimi hendrix, eddie van halen nobody is the best in the world but these are the greatest guitarsists in the music industry.
I think that this is a real great interview. Because of the unusual Interview Technik I hear a lot about the person and what he thinks about the things of life. This guy is 53, he has been around the world about 20 times. He was and is one of the best players in the world. That´s why i love to hear what he thinks about life from his point of view, not only about guitartechnik, influences and gear...but also about that...of course ;-)
And things are better off that way anyways. Luke deserves better than to be made into a poster on the wall of a dorm room next to the likes of Mac Miller or Green Day, don't you agree?
Man, this was a very bad interview, who told this guy from faceculture that he could do the job. Terrible entrevista, que pérdida de oportunidad frente a tan interesante músico.
makes me laugh, I can remember my sister, the needle thing u spoke of...and playing Smoke On The Water forever...she cried, asking my Mom to make me stop, I LOVED music like u, since I was a kid, just no talent..lol
Those facts are not in dispute...nor is luke's technical prowess with the gee-tar. However, to call him a legend is to imply that he resides within the collective mind and imagination of popular culture...which he does not. He should, but he doesn't. Im just being realistic.
what a great guy! and so humble! i,ve seen steve with toto five times, sadly without jeff porcaro, but still it was toto one of my top three acts ever!!
Quite possible the best interview I ever saw. Gets better and better with each part; highly recommended.
My highest respects to Steve Lukather.

He has a youthful look and spirit. Cool dude from a good band. New Toto CD sounds promising from the two tracks I have heard.
To go from listening to your heroes to working with them must be an incredible feeling!
Agree, Luke looks great, and as his Mom thought....greatness was there from day one....it was in his DNA !!!
Love these interview, watching again for the 3rd time, the guys a legend, the one guy I'd love to have a beer with
Hasn't had a drink or smoke in about 9 years Strabbs12345. Luke lives the clean life now.
Yep! One of small handful of prolific studio guitarists of many famous and well-known recordings of the 1980s.

@MsEviiL
Apparently some dutch magazine, cause the host is have a really bad dutch accent and the videos were shot somewhere in Amsterdam. ;)
I know a guy that looks very similar to Steve. Similar eyes, and just overall similar face and smile, goatee and all. Way shorter hair though! lol
Great story mate :D
8 years on, i have NO idea who i was talking about lol
Smoke On The Water is the ultimate starter-riff then one can move on to Back In Black etc. .-)
I want to see the book "The rise and Fall of America"
1:53 It was bizar!!!! =D
Love you Steve
He looks like a clone between "Billy Joel" and "Joey Kramer" (Aerosmith drummer) .-)

After all these years Steve you still not understood the purpose of your birth. The crystal ball lady cheated both of you.

He's good...but I would hesitate to call him a "legend"...nobody born within the last 15-20 years has heard of him.
