PP arnold did this version of Cat Steven's song in 1967. All i can say, both are cutie pies. I don't know why people get mad when a singer give honor, by doing an earlier artist version with a small twist about 40 years later. It only shows PP arnold's version has stood the test of time. 40 YEARS IS A LONG TIME people. IT'S A COMPLIMENT. Love you PP(Cole)Arnold.

What a great voice, superb singer. I first saw her on this Jools Holland New Years Eve show and was impressed by her vocal performance. Since then I have heard more songs from her. Very different from the normal 'pop' singer today. She deserves to make it big - I'm sure she will.

I would hardly say they were "coming back" as such, but there are trends that were common in the 60s that are becoming more frequently used in the present day and age =) I only saw about 2 months of the 80s (which I can't remember) and have equally wondered what the 60s were like

as always tremendous, I saw her perform at that one off intimate gig last month, what a joy and fantastic voice this welsh beauty has. surprised at the chart positioning for her last single, but I guess it was on the re-released debut album. look forward to her future material as always. :)

For me Duffy is up there with the best: Dusty, Janis, Maggie Bell et al., she's awesome!

I noticed Duffy did the PP Arnold 1967 Version of Cat Stevens song "the first cut is the deepest". Thats the best version and Duffy did just fine. As far as i am concerned, there is no other version.

Wow! This is cool... these live tracks on Jules' shows are even better than anything in the studio. I've ordered her album as I love the track Mercy but doubt this track will be included. By the way, I'm new to all this. Does anyone know how to get the audio from the video's onto an ipod or cd? Also, my favourites are not saving and I cant for the life of me find a way to just contact the help center and advise. Its not one of the listed problems...... any suggestions, gratefully received :-))

Sav your wasting your breath. I agree Duffy is great, hugely talented and successful now so we dont need to defend her. The haters shouldnt be making comments, they just need to find something they like and get a life. By the way I seen a great talent called Bridget Mermikides playing guitar. She's not done an album but she wod compliment any singer. She's been on tv a bit but I hope she releases an album as her acoustic tunes are just awesome.

I like Duffy a lot and listen to her often. I don't really like to bad mouth other singers that aren't her because if every body was Duffy she would start to lose her edge I think. So calling the singers that aren't Duffy names just isn't necessary , at least in my book. It does bother me that I can't sing, even in the shower I sound wrong so I will just be happy listening.
