If there's one thing the Genesis'/MEGA DRIVE's soundchip was so good at conveying, it was the aggressiveness that would blast from musical arrangements. The more electric feel to it is just too 90s. Awesome remix, I always enjoy the Sonic CD stuff.
This is great work Yuzo. I love this version. Overall, I do prefer the JP version of Sonic Cd. Out of curiosity, I was wondering if you plan to show some love to the US Soundtrack? If so, I would love to hear a Genesis version of Wacky Workbench Good Future US.
While I prefer the American OST of Sonic CD more than its Japanese counterpart, I always preferred this over the American version. It just sounds more intimidating for a Bad Future level.
The Devils Eyes Of Dr. Ivo Robotnik! A distorted dystopian Work Factory with no limits and in due to explode by demolitions! It’s a Wacky Workbench Alright! Its menacing tone and robotic voices prove that Robotnik is winning! He almost has all time stones! Sonic better turn around to get the time stones fast before he meets his judgement day at Metallic Madness! Or rather he has the time stones and judgement will become Opposite Day towards Robotnik! Farewell Little Planet! Note: I guarantee this took a while for you to remix, yuzoboy. I guarantee you really will get more subscribers starting with me!
god, every time I see Sonic CD it just reminds me of a bad fan hack. The graphics are such that there's no hint whether something is interactable or not, bunch of spike balls that turn out to be in the background, the way forward is an invisible tunnel through a normal-looking platform, random parts being bouncy... it's all so muddy and confusing, with so many sprites just awkwardly hanging out doing nothing. seems like there's no hint of where to go. and allllll the music is way more aimless and amelodic than the first 3 and a half games.
@@gd3air2 I guess everyone has their own tastes! And at least with s3&k you can absolutely say it has several things about it that are different from the other three games.
I've always loved how aggressive the Genesis can make a song sound, the SNES would never have been able to sound this gritty.
The genuine Genesis twang!
It’s always why I prefer Genesis games.
SNES can get aggressive when it wants to. Mega Man X or SMT soundtracks for example
You've definitely never even heard a MMX song
@@jamiegioca9448 The fan made Genesis versions are better

I agree it had a more prominent sound. Thank you :)

"Grab the onions"
"You suggested lettuce"
Fun Fact: In the original, the female voice says, "The Music Just Turns Me On"
You can't hear it well due to the decent amounts of effects.
0:50 bro this is STRAIGHT FIRE, nice remix 🔥🔥

Yes I will tackle the US soundtrack too, it has grown a little on me in recent years but still prefer the JP version too. Thanks!
@@Yuzoboy Thanks. The US Soundtrack has grown on me as well.
Sonic is having trouble in Bad Future
Tails is just chilling in Good Future
Nice.
i dont regret subscribing to you
this is one of the reasons why
also, alt title: Wacky Workbench: Sonic Fusion Mix
The voices are actually clearer here, but why does it sound like the piano from Palmtree Panic decided to join the mix?
Actually thats the Streets of Rage Piano.
High-quality banger!!!
Why was Sonic.exe in the thumbnail XD
They could just put him in the us version of boss theme
Because he's bad 👎
Bad dude for the bad future

soon enough we’ll have a full ost!

I agree with you there though I prefer the JP OST overall. I do, however, think the US Version of the Good Future is better.
Perfection…
I really like how you used the Chemical Plant bass sound, it works really well
ALL HIGH ALERT... KEEP IT STRAIGHT FORWARD AND RUN.
Another Masafumi Ogata Mega Drive version 🔥🔥
While the background of the piece is raw and well done, is it possible to give the melody more power? Seems unbalanced, but overall well done.
Loving the mix, Yuzo!! BTW, sent you an Email message, wondering if you got it?
where from is the footage with tails? is it some sort of a cd remake?
That is from Sonic CD Ultimate.

I definitely share the same thoughts on the design. It isnt as streamlined or polished as the first 3 games.
That's how I feel about s3&k

Wait weren't the original versions 16-bit ?
The past versions were PCM audio which arguably can play on the Genesis, while the rest were Redbook CD audio, which were not 16 bit.
