Talk about remote! After miles and miles of hiking into this stream I’m just so glad you were rewarded with a very nice big brown! Also, sounds like quite the tough day not only physically but breaking your fly rod and crashing your drone in the creek and despite all that happened, you made a really nice video out of it and was compensated with that awesome brown trout! So glad your pereserverance paid off yet again. They say “nothing ventured, nothing gained”. So true on this adventure. Tightlines til your next vid!
A long time ago three of us hike in Moose river Plains and down to where the moose and Indian Rivers came together,it was a long hike with no trails,we ran out of bait and used phebes, smallest brookie was 12",never went back and the road to the moose closed over 30 years ago.I'll never get there again, limit was 10 back then.
The video was cool Dan. Great brown trout out of that shallow river. While I was watching and listening to you tell how deep in the woods you were, I was wondering if you carry any kind of bear repellent, or any thoughts at all of possible bears in that area. I'd be interested to hear your response. Thanks, from Charlie
Just stumbled upon your channel and love your content man! Keep it going I’m a newbie but got into euro nymphing but been trying to fish this fall weather. Know any good local areas? I’ve been to Delaware last weekend, just came back from the battenkill today and been skunked. Lol
No I have not but I was definitely looking to just a buddy of mine said it was better in spring. I’m also looking to fish the Westfield river as well caught my PB over there when I first started fly fishing in summer.
I enjoy your videos. I lived in the Catskills in the late 60's and fished a lot of the water that you do. I have fished the entire length of the Neversink River. I moved from NY in the early 70's and moved to free states and will never go back. However, I do miss fishing the rivers and streams of the Catskills and the Salmon river up in the Adirondack region.

Yessir I just got my first fly rod, can't wait to go for some trout. Where do you think the most beginner friendly spot for fly fishing is for trout?

Hmmm Ausable would be fun. Maybe try some rivers that flow into the lake. Salmon river or boquet
