So basically it is okay if the prices are rising but we need to make sure that our income also increase so that our purchasing power doesn't decrease .
Or you can also reduce your consumption and stop buying non-essentials.

That's correct. But it still will have an impact on inflation. With increased income, the consumer will want to purchase more, and the demand will rise, resulting in demand-pull inflation.

Sorry, I don't have an economics background so I have a doubt- If Govt increased MSP in June, then why don't all farmers sell to the Govt instead of selling at a loss in the market? I am a novice so my question may be silly but I would be grateful if somebody answered me...why doesn't the Govt procure everything at MSP and then say sell it to the private sector so that the farmers are not directly exposed to pvt players who could potentially exploit them? Or why isn't MSP kept as a floor price for procurement even in the open market?
Government incresed the minimum support price due to the complaint of the farmers and without the consent of private purchasers.
And Government's duty is not like a merchant.

Instead of selling in mandies farmers should form a cooperative and sell the produce directly in retail market with the help of government...win win for both farmer and consumer...and a lesson for middle man
Supply chain can't work like that way.
You can't buy a kg of rice from a farmer in UP. Neither it is feasible nor desirable.

With advanced tech, some age old theories hav become less effective. Demand versus supply and its affect on economy come under that. Most products nowadays are immune to demand and supply theory. Demand and supply theory is replaced now by artificial adjustment of shelf life of a product, relabling, formation of bussiness associations, political interferences, regional patriotism....

No....wpi is published by the office of economic advisor and cpi is published by the central statistics office.. He did use the correct word just didn't mention it properly..hope u got it😊
