  • #RafiFarber - 1970s Are Repeating, and That Is Good News for Gold
Despite the rise to $2,500 an ounce, gold is still below where it was in 1971 in terms of percentage of assets on the Federal Reserve's balance sheet. Back on August 15, 1971 - exactly 53 years ago yesterday - gold made up 12% of Fed assets. Today, even at $2,500, it makes up less than 9%. By those metrics, we are lower now at $2,500 than we were at $35 in 1971. From that point, gold rose by a factor of 24x to the 1980 top. A repeat of that move brings us to a top of about $60,000 per ounce.
That rally also ended with a 15:1 gold to silver ratio. That brings us to $4,000 per silver ounce in a full blown monetary panic.
This is not a prediction. It's just simple math, and if we do have a repeat of the 1970s, that it where the math leads.

1970 to 1980 was 24x...........start it back in 2020 when around $1600 per ournce..........24x1600 = about $38,000 iper ounce in 2030 which is still insane. Use a 20:1 ratio Gold to Silver Ratio that would put Silver at $1,900 per ounce in just 5 1/5 years from now in 2030.
At some point they will need to re-peg the dollar to gold. If true Silver would do a 75 BAGGER from 2020 to 2030. CRAZY

Have tons of respect for you Mate, but I think the thesis on "the market has chosen elastic money.." is flawed. Global governments - have literally mandated - use of their centrally controlled fiat; how is that a "market"? Global governments - have literally mandated through law - that fiat money be de-coupled from gold; how is that a "market"? The US Government - had literally outlawed - gold ownership for decades! How is that a "market"? What many isn't taking into account is that bitcoin is the FIRST TIME EVER, that humanity has had a an actually decentralized money, with a fixed supply. The option of actually choosing a non-elastic money, that has no counterparty risk, has never existed until now, ......currently I've been engaged in active trading, which is generally safer, allowing investors to weather market volatility and also managed to grow a nest egg of around 2.3Bitcoin to a decent 24Bitcoin....I'm especially grateful to Linda Wilburn, whose deep expertise and traditional trading acumen have been invaluable in this challenging, ever-evolving financial landscape.

For the fed gold has to moon shot, it is the only way they can eliminate the Debt in the the next five years. It used to be that gold would get hit first thing on the morning by the fed central bank. They have long stop doing that at least two years ago. Now a days it isinhibited in the afternoon as the Europeans desperately try to keep the euro from breaking down below a dollar

I honestly don't think that anything matters other than the fact that all government debt is technically worthless. Why? Because it absolutely requires more debt to be issued which requires fiat to be issued which destroys prior fiat. A vicious death spiral. So, inevitability you have the following scenarios. Fiat is reverse split, or, 1000 dollars buys,.... nothing.

I'm a stacker, not an investor. Therefore, I want to see gold in comparison to commodities. If gold goes 24 times current value of the dollar that just tells me the future price of a loaf of bread, currently $2.54, will increase a multiple of 24, or to a sales price of $60.94. Gas at a current price of $3.24 will be $77.76, and so on. I'm hoping the gold value will be related to global commodity value, in that commodities will not increase by a factor of 24 and that is what I don't know how to forecast? And, will global commodity prices be observed in USA or will it be a direct correlation to the failing dollar?

The prices of gold and silver are manipulated by JP Morgan Chase and others.. This is done with the governments approval. JP Morgan Chase was fined $920,000,000 for manipulating the prices of precious metals, that sounds like a lot of $$$$. But, JP Morgan Chase treated it like another cost of doing business, like electricity, workers comp etc. Relative to other costs for JP Morgan Chase it was not that big, and they kept spoofing the prices of gold and silver. Spoofing is a crime, you go to prison for committing a crime, you don't get a fine............unless your name rhymes with diamond. I would be willing to bet the next time the government bought a stack of bonds from JP Morgan Chase, they over paid by $1,000,000,000.
