After straightening your hair, have you tried wrapping it? I'm not sure if black women in England do it, but it's a known thing in America. You smooth it in one direction, and then the other. And then use a silk cap and scarf over. I do it for at least an hour, each way. Your hair texture looks similar to mine (I'm a mutt-American, but mostly African). Aveda's Smoothing Fluid is my fav hair product! A little before I dry. A little, flat ironing and a little after. Oscar Blondi has a hair spray you can use on wet hair and can flat iron over. It's the only thing I can use to hold a curl, without making my hair hard or frizzy.
We have similar neighbours... I would loooove to live on the top floor. And don't worry about not doing anything special some days. It is kind of reassuring to know that you have days like that too. ;)

I enjoyed this vlog a lot! And boy, was it good to hear someone ELSE say they get distracted food shopping this time of the year. I feel exactly the same way -- I head in for almond milk and some bread, wind up with egg rolls, cheese trays, etc., etc., etc! The other day it was really hard too, to walk by the gingerbread ice cream and another flavor that was very holiday-sounding! I was really proud of myself resisting.

The chicken meat essence is what makes it delicious :( maybe you can use tofu but you have to use other stuff to spice it up and they're not natural. I sometimes do plain old vegetable soup with whole celery, carrot, potatoes, leek and if you want you can add cauliflower and broccoli later cause they're tend to break up very fast. Hope I could help.
