There's two Wendy's nearby me. One was extensively renovated the other was torn down with a new one in it's place. They both were the Dave Thomas old school style. I miss those. I remember going to eat at their mega bar back in the day.
Its not everyday you go inside of a vacant Wendy's I almost went inside an abandoned Target that closed in 2015 but the power went out as soon as we open the doors on the inside and we chose to leave
@@WallieB26 maybe that could be the case A security guard saw me and my uncle and cousin looking around it and he just asked us if we were explorers and unlocked the doors
I liked Wendy's before they started going under. The quality of the Burgers started going under when he died. I got one burger under cooked the meat was red and under cooked.
These stores were built in the early 90s. I worked in a couple of stores that were built in the late 70s. They are the ones with the solariums in the dining room. It’s strange, this still looks like a new store to me although they are different now. Keep up the great content. 😊
Looks like a 1990s model Wendy's. There's one similar in Carrollton Georgia, replacing a 1979 model location next door, that was razed once the new store opened in 1996. It was renovated in 2014.
there's alot of salvageable and usable kitchen equipment, and looks pretty in good condition too; I really hope the owners are able to sell them; hate to see good kitchen equipment go to waste and deteriorate.
I have been to a few Wendy's here in upstate New York and they look similar to this closed Wendy's. Outside looks different, inside looks similar with a few differences.
I notice when you were inside you said Hello to check if anybody was in there because homeless people have been known to go inside closed/abandoned restaurants/bussiness/stores/houses to stay and sleep and what not
You have to admit there ain't nothing more depressing than a empty lonely abandon building that can't greet any customers no more.either if it was recent or one that had been empty many years.
Just out of curiosity idk if you know this or not, but do you know why they always cover the windows of abandoned restaurants and buildings with paper?
I,like the Old School Style Wendy's better than the new ones now a days. And, don't forget Clara Peller, from the Old Wendy's TV Commercials, "WHERE'S THE BEEF? 8:05
The one near me was renovated a few years back, and the one in the next town over still retains it's old school style. Both are always busy, and usually takes 15 minutes to wait in the drive thru till you get your meal. I forgot to ask, but did you receive the vintage shopping bags/matchbooks I sent you? (Ames, Bradlees, Caldor, Bed Bath and Beyond) I just acquired two more for you.
I have 2 questions I would like to ask you. It is not specifically about this video, though. All of the buzzers or bells buttons that you like to push. Did you ever have one that worked? The other question is that when you go into abandoned places, did you ever see any squatters? I have seen in different videos where you can see their belongings, and I was just wondering. I couldn't find a different place to post it at.

I would like a double Bacon cheeseburger 🍔 lol they wanted to take it off the menu when Dave Thomas passed away, and everyone was like WTH wete the bacon cheeseburger lol. I guess when Dave well known person that started the Wendy's restaurant is no longer around they think they can change it all out cause he not going to be there to see it.

That opening door feeling 🚪 I’ve been encountering that alot recently. Nice find! I love old school aesthetics.

Yeah, probably a good thing. Either someone just turned the lights out or could have been a strange coincidence.

i've never seen a carpeted wendy's before. this looks like a cosy place to live, I would gladly convert this wendy's into a home if I had the money.
The room with mirrors was the former Superbar area. Mostly were covered over in the newer model stores in the 1990s.

Hey Wally like you said in the intro, be careful exploring inside these places. Sometimes there are people inside with bad intentions or on drugs.
I get that.
This has apparently, now reopened. It is renovated too
It would be cool if you filmed the abandoned BP those are interesting to see
That was a older restaurant good Dave Thomas😊
Sad to see theses places all closed
An awesome exploration video, Wallie! 👍👍👍👍👍
I was a little spooked in thinking that might be my favorite Wendy’s next to the Interstate but there isn’t a BP nearby 🤔
The beef's no more! Great explore!

My local Wendy's looked like that until they remodeled it sometime around 2018. It's been there over 20 years. I miss the old Wendy's.

love the old wendys
Also take nothing but mental memories that people who might of visited the building when it was in operation
