    Bargain of the year my friend. Thank You for bringing this light to our attention and including a link. Much appreciated! My Lumintop FW also has the dodgy button. Looking forward to your next review. Trail Trek is back and on a roll! 👍😀

    You should clip out your breakdown of the UI and post it up by itself. This was one of the better walkthroughs I've watched. Thanks, man.

      Thanks, I found this lovely up close and also fine for outdoors. Very hard not to take this everywhere and stop bothering with a larger light.

      @@TrailTrek I bought it a few months ago and I'm very happy with it. Andruil 2 allowed me to customize it to my preferences. If Andruil 3 was still there and it was possible to stabilize the light output, it would be perfect. But for now, it's unbeatable for me. I have a Fenix E12 V2, which is just as small, but only 160lm... Not to mention the possibility of modification. Overall, I'm delighted with the TS10. Well done. I have, among others, Wurkkos HD15 and FC12, they are also great flashlights at a low price.

    • @joehoandroid
      @joehoandroid Год назад +1

      @@jackblock7451 Stabilisation: A constant light output has very little to do with the Anduril Firmware. That depends more on the harware it runs. You need a Bug/Boost driver for a flat output. If you mean longer turbo time you must buy bigger lights to have more surface or a bigger heat sink to get heat away.

    Ordered and received a TS10, at 4000K with red secondary leds, a week ago. The Andruil 2.0 interface allows one to turn off the red auxillary leds when the light is sitting idle, to preserve battery life, which is a nice feature. When activated, the ramp mode allows a perfect illumination mode that can be used as both a nightlight and to read a book without distrubing the person sleeping next to you. Last night I used the TS10 to illuminate my girlfriend's finger to find a small splinter that needed to be removed. Being able to set the illumination in ramp mode allowed a light level to be set perfectly to be able to see the small splinter without being blinded by too much light, or being so dim, that it was hard to see the splinter. In short, this is a really nice light.

      Nice, I bought the white silicone dome cap. Have it on my safety vest
      Good for being seen without blinding people. Easy to ramp up if needed. I hang it down to illuminate path. Much debris around tracks. I’m a road freight locomotive engineer.

    Great info in your vids, Tee Tee. I thought you were super generous with this torch.
    I have two. The aux LEds could have been unshrouded a little more by re-clocking the optic a few degrees anti clockwise, so they could have navigation. As of now they're only useful as a beacon, imo. Thought the cell life was very impressive. I like they way they fit in an Altoids tin. Looking forward to more of your vids. Cheers.

    This thing really is a "14500 of the year" contender for me. Its perfect for my use case. Terrible pocket clip but some of the Olight clips fit. It beats out the Pokelit AA and Reylight LanApple IMO.
    Great review bud, thank you 👍

      Do you mind sharing which pocket clips match ts10?

  • @apcwjw
    @apcwjw Год назад +5

    Great review. The sofirn sp10 pro can use AA but has less maximum output compared to the ts10 when using the lion 3.7v. I wonder if it’s the case that you can’t really optimise a device to use nimh/aa/ lion when you go above a certain lumens range.
    Wurkoss/sofirn make really good lights. I have the aux lights on my ts11 turned down to the lowest level and set to show battery voltage.
    I’ve ordered the red ts10 4K with red aux with 2 spare batteries.

    • @TrailTrek
      @TrailTrek  Год назад +3

      Its a good question at first i thought it may be that to add that you have top use more expensive electronics so that would push it out of its price bracket but then im not sure now. That order sounds nice I never thought of getting the body and aux to match I would be interested in seeing that. Let me know what you think of it after it arrives mate.

    • @apcwjw

      @@TrailTrek i find coloured bodied lights easier to find in the bottom of bags so I tend to get them where possible for the edc stuff.
      I thought you were going to give it 9.5 while going through the review. Is the battery you get with it longer than the lumintop tool AA battery as that is quite short?

    • @TrailTrek
      @TrailTrek  Год назад +1

      @@apcwjw i wanted to give it 9.5 but i just want so bad for it to have the AA fallback i know its not a deal breaker for many flashaholics but the ok clip and no AA made it dip below a 9.5 for me. its amazing but not quite there. i still love it and il get more though.

    19:30 where did you learn the saying “fill your boots”? 😅

    • @TrailTrek
      @TrailTrek  Год назад +2

      Its an old Geordie saying from the region I grew up in. It is used as a quick way to tell others to take full advantage of a given opportunity. If I remember rightly it comes from the old days where I lived we had a ton of coal mines here, sometimes the miners would take off their hobnail boots when they came out and walked off home for the day to the houses. They used to sometimes just fill their boots with a load of coal laying about before they hit the mine shaft lifts and so when they got home they had a nice pile of free coal to stick on the fire for the evening. All of the local mines here for coal have shut down now but I often hear the saying being used. Its not related to bootleggers etc :-)

    • @TrailTrek

      Yes I think this is for those with chargers. Sometimes they do this for a light to give better IPX rating as well. Although this is also achievable by using magnetic charging as well.
