The name "Pretender" has only just made sense to me. Pink is a passive Impostor, and Grey is a killing Crewmate. They're both pretending to be the opposing faction.
I like how instead of making grey look down and be a slow moving yet deranged threat, they made him look child-like yet still very very dangerous and insane which both fits his character and makes him much more cool.
What's funny is that despite siting in the background of that last two songs, Grey never made a move. Either his cooldown was so long it took two songs to regenerate, or he was waiting for Black.
Honestly, I don't think Grey has a cooldown. As a crewmate, he shouldn't even be able to kill so I imagine a cooldown doesn't even exist. Especially considering that he and Black killed 5 persons in the cutscene (BF, GF, Blue, Purple, and the tomato); assuming that Black kills 2 (since he would have a cooldown) then Grey kills the majority all at once. I definitely feel like there's more to him being passive in Black's absence, though
because people wanted to rewind when black vented in and grey pulled out the knife because some people don't pay attention to the BG that much, you already know that though lmao

I really love how this gives off the feel of a "Sanctuary Under Attack", with a leader who's normally calm and sweet but has very deadly powers and won't hold back when their friends or followers are in danger or get hurt (or in this case, get killed) vs. a morally depraved person who's only instinct left is to kill. I'd even like to imagine Grey was in the background of the last 2 songs due to trying to get therapy to end his own remorseless tyranny, but Black showing up tipped him over the edge and made him go crazy again.
Considering Grey had the knife at the ready (you see him pull it out the second Black gets out of the vent) I'd say it wasn't Grey trying to recover, probably just a planned attack.
