If Khamzat fought Nate, Nate wouldve been buried. This whole situation was utter bs, they were feeding Nate to Khamzat. Even Nate in his interviews knew what kind of a beating he'd take.
You and millions more said the same before Conor vs Diaz 1. We all remember how that went. Don't get me wrong, Chimaev would have won. He is insane, and im glad the fight didn't happen. But stop thinking that Nate Diaz can't survive a beating. He has done it since Khamzat was a toddler. Not been KO'd once his whole UFC career.

As a long time khamzat fan, let me clarify. He was 1kg away from making weight. He started to go stiff and spasm. Ufc doctors forced him to quit the weight cut and rehydrate. This was around 3am. So he really did not even miss weight, especially my 8 lbs. he was forced to stop at 1 kg and asked to rehydrate. He gained 6 more pounds hydrating

Every one thought feeding Nat to Khamzat was cruel to end his journey in such way, but Khamzat proved he is a nice guy and not everything is money for him
He missed weight one time
The thing you missed about Khamzats weigth cut (wieght miss) is that he was'nt 178 when they stopped him, he was down to 174,5 and the doctors MADE him stop the cutting and told him to drink and eat something so he went up to 178 before the weight-in. He still missed weight but he probably could have cut the last 3,5 or atleast a couple of pounds more if not stopped. But the UFC and all the videos about it does'nt speak about it coz Khamzat have a hard time to try explain what happend in english >.

He do train 5 times a day so i dont think its about training he always had a hard time making 170lbs his next fight in oct is 185lbs should be no issues making that weight.

My opinion:
Khamzat had some health issues with cutting weight , and so the doctors told the UFC that he wont make the weight . Dana was clever and made told Holland and khamzat that they will fight . So khamzat and Holland purposely start a fight and so a back stage drama generates more ppv buys and Dana makes the match . All winners as Nate gets a good last opponent in Tony Furgeson

There's a conspiracy theory says that; there was a disagreement between Nate and the UFC and that's why the wanted to feed him to the wolf,
then he had a meeting with them, cleared the sky with them, and they can't do that to their son in his last fight { watch the video of Nate before his fight against Hamzah, he was about to cry}, then they got an agreement and stopped Hamzah from making weigh and prepared a substitute for Hamzah with a quick altercation between them{I mean Holland} ,
And that's why they didn't punish Hamzah for losing weight, coz it was their plan.
Plus, Nate VS Khamzat was a good promotion for PPV. Way more interesting than Nate VS Tony.

He is having weight cutting issues and not being disciplined , khabib pointed it out the real issue that khamzat is having and why it will keep happening, but now dana has forced khamzat to MW division and it is for better because they cannot keep scrapping cards just because your main event fighter does not wanna make weight, then it also puts a question mark on title fights down the line.
