Omg THANK YOU! you are the first (oily skin) person to say you don't have put moisturizer on if you use an oil and it's hot as BLEEP! I understand you need to moisturizer but I put tons on every night and because of all the people I've been forcing myself to moisturize no matter what.

I was like at first, everyone’s said that it’s necessary and I agree but to a certain point. I was watching a video with a plastic surgeon saying that if we have oily skin, we don’t have to use moisturizer if the oil does the trick. So since then, I just play it by ear. 😊

Stephanie, you are my skin twin! I also have huge pores to the left and right of my nose/mouth! You are not alone! I just found your channel while on the hunt for foundation that works with my oily skin, and I instantly subbed. You have mentioned that you struggle with all the same things I do. I'm also a TX girl, so I totally know the "how does my skin feel today" game, lol! Your [Product] Wars series is fantastic! I also have hooded eyes, so I'm excited to see your eye look videos too. I'm so glad I found your channel! 💖

Do you have an update on your skin prep? 2024 version...maybe with drugstore products? I'm really oily, but I'm also aging (mid-forties). Feeling so tempted to switch over to products for aging, but most of them are very hydrating. I feel like I'm at a strange place b/c I'm still oily, but starting to get wrinkles (most of that is my fault for not wearing sunscreen when I was young). Just struggling to navigate this time in my life and would love your feedback. I'm also kinda cheap. I just don't want to fork out loads of unnecessary money for bougie high-end products if I can find dupes at Target. LOL

Also, would like to know how you deal with people telling you that you're oily because you're not hydrating your skin enough. This is frustrating for me as if I could fix it with the right magic. I would have already done that if it was fixable.

New fellow oily subscriber here lol!! So glad I found your channel because I deal with similar struggles. Just one tip of advice! I know you’re trying to minimize the grease factor lol but in order to get that 50 SPF you actually need to use much more. I believe it’s about 1 teaspoon worth. So finding an SPF that’s very fluid and light in texture is best for us oily girls or guys lol. I just picked up a couple new options from Ulta. The first one is from Tula called Mineral Magic and it’s a tinted fluid that absorbs beautifully into my skin without being too greasy and the other one is by Neutrogena and it’s called Invisible Daily Defense Face Serum with a 60+ SPF even though realistically it probably only protects at a 50 factor and that one is also tinted but it has more of a rosy/pinky look to it but doesn’t actually make you look that color lol. I’m a light skin brown girl and it doesn’t leave a funny cast on me. This one is also lightweight and more affordable than Tula. However Tula is still my fav. Also, you definitely can skip the moisturizer on your makeup days as long as you are using enough of a hydrating SPF. Also, I’m kind of surprised that you chose to put moisturizer on your eyelids because I just watched your video about oily lids and primers. Wearing that cream on makeup days may speed up the degradation of your eye makeup but I’m thinking you probably already know that! 😊 You’re definitely not the only who moisturizes your lids lol. I do it most of the time except for my makeup days. I really appreciate how detailed your videos are and I look forward to many more! Hope you’re staying safe down in Texas! 😁

Hi! Thank you so much for all your support.🥰I definitely need to try that Neutrogena Invisible Daily Defense, it sounds great and definitely a little more helpful on getting the coverage needed to be effective! Thanks for the tip! 🤗
I should have been more clear in this video about skincare on my eyelids. I will normally moisturize my eyelids if I'm not going to be doing any eyeshadow but if I were to be spending time on creating an eyeshadow look then I would definitely not be wearing any skincare on my eyelids.

You're not the only one with large pores by the side of your mouth. In fact, I have large pores all over my face - even my temples! I just may have to check out the L'Oreal Infallible face primer you love so much. Never heard anyone else talk about it.

That’s definitely a good observation, that’s not something that I spent too much time thinking about. I might have to do some more research to make sure that I’m not removing the protection from the sunscreen.

I have very oily skin and large pores. Usually with oily skin comes large pores. Hot climate causes oily skin and large pores, because it's sun damage and pollution in the air. Being a woman is so expensive. Makeup is expensive, and it takes more products for women with oily skin. Lol😂😊
