      Zany claims? Billions of people are either illiterate, extremely poor, incredibly busy, brainwashed by urban legends and myths so they naturally have inaccurate concepts of ancient Biblical culture.... For you to call the assumptions that ideas of people who do not have gift of Bible education are zany is not spiritually mature of you.

      Candace presentation of truth was excellent here. She truly understood as well as heard the woman... And gave her enough truth to take the next step. The truth is that you have to meet people where they are at and treat them with respect. Getting all superior and preachy with people does not work. Non believers don't understand what Scripture means, they don't even speak your language, when it comes to the things of God, so you have to simplify the message so that they can hear you. It's vital that you recognize whose message it is you are conveying. So please ask the Holy Spirit to put the right words into your mouth. Don't give up! These people are precious to God!

It is so simple to follow Jesus, yet instead of experiencing true freedom in Christ, these people would rather spend their lives bound by sin. Thank you, Kap, for everything you do. Matthew 7:15-20
      King James Version
      15 Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.
      16 Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles?
      17 Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit.
      18 A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit.
      19 Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire.
      20 Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them.

      She took courses and declared herself agnostic. Why are you doubting her? The only way to change her mind about Christ is to leave her be, and when she pretends to know what the Bible says, and get's it wrong, she needs to be corrected, and then you can introduce some information that may plant some seeds. She did not look open to God, especially when she spoke about the porn star hearing God on a plane... you can hear her disbelief in her voice. So she has to be allowed to choose the time to talk about Faith.

    Unfortunately the world today thinks loving someone is equal to condoning whatever they want to do. People think acceptance of a person means condoning everything they represent. This is why people don't know how to parent these days because they think discipline can't possibly be loving but the Bible specifically says if you dont discipline your son, you hate him...meaning you discipline those you love. The main message of the Bible is that God loves us enough to have given Jesus up on the cross and we should believe and repent.

      @davidneubert9858 9 месяцев назад

      I think the job of sharing the gospel with the world was giving only to Jesus's disciples who were traveling with him. There is evidence that they did, in fact, do just that.
      Our job is to edify the church, those who claim to be living a life according to the Bible. To call out the lies of those who teach lies. Like the, when you die, you either live forever in heaven or hell.

    • @sensee97

      @davidneubert9858 Nah, bro. Read Acts. They came after the disciples and they were performing miracles, casting out demons, and ministering to people and bringing them to Christ. • @davidneubert9858
      @davidneubert9858 9 месяцев назад

      @sensee97 I can understand that reasoning. However, no one is performing miracles or casting out demons, or truly ministering, now a days. Do you know of any?
      I think we are living in the time period where there is a famine of the word. We are to focus mostly on ourselves, removing the plank in our eye.
      The attitude I see in most people is a self-righteous attitude. We have far more work to do on ourselves than we have to help others. Most have turned this teaching upside-down.
      Our job is not to save the world but to make it into the 144,000.

      Agree - creature is not an acceptable way to refer to someone who is doing the best they can to be as vulnerable as they can in their first steps towards Christ. Candace sowed a powerful seed for her soul to be saved. That would be far less likely to happen if she was called ‘creature.’

      We are all creatures born into sin, the difference between me and her is that she is currently deceived and in the dark. God saved me not because I'm any better but because of His mercy. He put me in my position where I see the truth and her in this position where she needs help and is enslaved to the world. We who are saved need to be the light of the world.

    I love how Candace gently responded by asking her to attend a bible study.
    In that moment I was thinking "seek and you shall find, knock and the door shall be opened" but telling her that would have bounced off of her as more Christian rhetoric. Candace handled that with grace.

Other are feeding her this kind of misinterpreting view of the bible as well as what she is coming up with on her own. She won't listen to me though. One point she has brought up is about Adam and eve, and that we are all products of insest if that were true. I answered her as best I could, but my knowledge is limited. Candace showed a lot of grace here, and while I've disagreed w/ her on some things, recently, including Israel, it's interesting and refreshing to see how God is using it all toward good; as maybe it's pushed her to lean into her faith on a deeper level and to better reflect Christ.
    The obvious 'gotcha' would've been to point to the 7 demons Mary Magdalene had to have cast out of her.
    Seeing Candace take a different approach by speaking to the healing that came as a result of that deliverence and how she wanted that for the woman sitting across from her was genuinely kind of her and I believe responding in that way when the Bible's been misrepresented, requires a real depth of mercy and grace, and it seems, at least from this encounter she is growing in that admirably.
    At least, I'm not sure I wouldn't have immediately gone for the demons.
    Excellent commentary and highlighting what the Bible teaches, Kap.
    God bless you.
