Back in the day, I had downloaded some songs from limewire onto my iPod video and I felt so guilty about it. One day, my mom got pulled over by a cop for her headlight being out and I hid my iPod under the seat😂 like the cop was gonna ask me if I had any pirated songs on it😂😂
Back in my day is such a good segment 😂 Good ole landlines and illegal music downloads. Also we were so much smarter because we had to memorize all of our friends phone numbers. I still know my friends phone numbers from high school 😂
I thought about sending in a sheltered kid submission because the only TV shows we were allowed to watch growing up were Andy Griffith and Roy Rogers… thanks to this new series, my eyes have been opened to the real meaning of sheltered!
23:13 - Jake, I thought the SAME thing when I saw these indoors at a wedding reception, until my wife (who does hair and makeup for weddings) told me that those are COLD SPARKS. So they won't set anything ablaze... Even though it looks like they're trying to burn the place down. IT'S CRAZY.

I grew up the same way as the first woman. Except we did celebrate Christmas. Would've never even been allowed to ride a horse wearing a SPLIT skirt! We had to wear a really full skirt.
As soon as Trey said "the Buckle challenge" I felt connected in that moment 😂 I love that some of these experiences were universal regardless of where you lived!
Our mall was reportedly purchased by a corporation to use as a tax loss. They purposely keep the rent high so that no one can afford to keep their business there. They refuse to sell the mall back to some of the local wealthy family businesses. It’s really such a loss for the community.
The “back in my day” segment was so fun! Sheltered kid Tracy was great. 😊 Ron Kenoly was definitely a voice of my childhood, so can’t believe she was even sheltered from his music!
also..I LOVED the “back in my day” segment! 😂 we were cleaning out our cabinets at work and found a floppy disk from 1999 and one of my Gen Z colleagues said what is this? I felt antique 😢 HAHAHAHA
As a Gen Z'er, I wish I was born Gen X or Millennial honestly. It sounds like life was so much more of an adventure back then, but now everything is made so easy and convenient, so it takes the fun out of it. But Katie is right, we can't do the things that kids used to do back then (like walk around the neighborhood or ride a bike around town, etc) because it's just not safe anymore. The world is steadily getting more and more dangerous. :(
