It's pretty bad here too. We are a few hours south of the Big Sur fire and I woke up to orange skies. You guys have it worse being closer to the fires. Stay safe dude, I have spare N95 masks if you need a few to get you by.

That's bonkers! My brother lives in the Russian Hill (think that's what it's called?) area of San Francisco.
I went to San Francisco for the 1st times in 2018 and 2019 to visit him. It was springtime and beautiful both times.

Lots of fires here in Washington state, too. So far no big smoke or fires in my area, but don't know how much longer the luck will go. For now, blue skies and sun.

It’s equal parts scary and fascinating at the same time; my son is a Giants fan so I showed him a picture of Oracle Park with the orange sky. Needless to say it freaked him out.
I woke up confused this morning because it was still dark outside. The air quality is moderate, just the smoke from surrounding fires impacting the sky.
*Imagine some guy in coma for a year or 2, then waking up to see Blade Runner San Francisco with people wearing masks, lockdown in every locality, cops killing people and riots taking place every now and then.*

there's no burning smell here in sf, It's just that orange colored sky
No active burning smell... "campfire from last night" smell (if that makes sense).
Couple of weeks ago it smelled like burning. But surprisingly when the sky was orange, smell was not as strong. Maybe our noses got used to it.
