Beautiful voice. Sometimes I think all the screaming fr L.P. ruined his "Grey Daze" voice. So sad. Im sorry he was alone that night. The saddness he must have had.
Well, apparently he didn't ruin his voice a lot because his technique was good (I know next to nothing about singing techniques so I'm literally just repeating what I heard some vocal coaches say in reaction videos to him + something that was said in an interview he did, where the interviewer said she went to a course on how to scream and he was constantly referenced as "one of the only really heavy singers who's doing it right"). While, of course, that screaming obviously didn't help his voice, I think the main reason it deteriorated was because of age. No one can hit the same notes at 40 y.o as they did at 20 y.o.
@audgirl the drugs, alcohol, and smoking are actually what hurt his voice more than the screaming ever did. In an interview he said he did everything you are not suppose to do when he was younger to keep his voice in good shape. As he got older he started really taking care of his voice to really help keep his singing where he needs it at.
hey.. an experimental vocalist here.. trust me he could do all of the grey daze stuff with ease. what he might have had trouble with is actually the LP stuff. compared to LP, gray daze is actually not that hard to do.. sure some screams and stuff are harder but for the clean singing he could hit it easy. the only difference would be a slight tone difference because of the age and maybe his style slightly changing over the years..
Would have loved to see Chester branch outside of Linkin Park you almost forgot how good he really was. Watching him with Kings of Chaos over the years even STP singing them classic songs he sounds so good and healthy. He can be rather pitchy with Linkin Park
This band is more for the jam with friends and preforming. They do many cover songs and don’t know if they have any of their own written material as of yet. Would be nice if they could get together and make some original. But they are all in other bands so not to sure that’s a possibility?

Ok...then all of the above. But, he was losing his voice an I think he knew it. It's got to be depressing knowing what your famous for is abt gone.
