Some good-ass quotes from the video. "I WILL BREAK INTO YOUR HOME AND MAKE YOU FEEL UNSAFE." - Laggy "Schizophrenia makes you one helluva debater, Salsa." - Agent "...so I feel like his dominance outweighs his twinkness." - Salsa "Uh... Don't do drugs. But in actuality do a shit load of drugs. But don't tell anyone I said anything, teehee. I'm gonna fucking pass out now." - Agent
The moonlanding is an isekai. 1. The implied people go to separate and unfamiliar world from ours 2. All of the plot is centered around said separate world 3. The implied people go through a lot of challenges in the separate world only to come back to their original world stronger 4. The separate world doesn't directly affact any other people except the one traveling to it
By this logic and since people were talking about some games being isekais, I'd proudly say that Don't Starve and Don't Starve Together are isekais because of course Maxwell ends up kidnapping many people and tosses them into The Constant which is of course the most twisted, mind-warped, and horrifying (at least to the characters) world they ever went to. It's all randomized and mind numbing trying to comprehend how the world works around them and they are forced to adapt in order to survive and of course 'don't starve'.
I think a better question to debate is what isekai main character would you want the powers of (for obvious reasons this only applies to anime web novel's light novel's and manga) for me the example is rimuru tempest from that time I got reincarnated as a slime (even just after he was reincarnated he was around powerful enough to destroy planets and only grows more powerful as the series goes on)
Ernesti Eschevarria/Eschevalier from Knights & Magic. Just call him Eru; nearly everyone in his show does because it's easier; I will now elaborate. XD Basically, he's a badass programmer who figured out upon being isekai'd that the magic of his new world is a language with its own rules and customizations, so he begins to craft a magic/physical routine every day to make his stamina (magic and non-magic) better all in the efforts of, one day, build his own robot and pilot it. So, he's got intelligence, creativity and magic. He mostly uses air magic to fly around using rifle-shaped magic rods (pretty much portable jet thrusters), and electricity to shoot super fast bullets. The magic part is the only actual "superpower", right, but the package he's carrying is something I'd be after. Also, he's eerily joyous (partially because of his intellect/passion for bots) to the point where very few things can anger him unless you're an actual psychopath yourself (or dare to destroy one of his robots and/or human buddies, but to be fair that last part makes sense). He also doesn't care about much, so his way-more-human buddies keep his humanity in check whenever he forgets about it. ↑ I think that's a cool flaw. It's less present in the anime, but it's still there. Now, he is not even close to the level of Rimuru Tempest (great choice, btw), but I'd love to have enough intellect to customize an entire magic system to build robots with. I've always loved golems, and giant bots are essentially metallic versions of that, so, yeah. Sidenote: he made it into Super Robot Wars 30, and that game is pretty much a long-running Smash Bros but for robot pilots. I think it's kinda neat that he worked to join the people who inspired him to be a pilot himself (to give you an idea, Lelouche and Char Aznable have been a part of the series for a while), and that's the kind of dream I'd love to reach too. Workin' towards it in real life. Ernesti's my pick! I, uh, wouldn't make actual paragraphs if I was in the video though, but K&M isn't _super_ known, so, context was necessary.
time travel could be considered an isekai depending on how far you time travel, in the legend of zelda's case, i don't think it should count since not enough had changed for it to be a diferent world something like pokemon legends arceus is infact an isekai in my opinion
About the flying Mantis: Apparently male Mantises can fly because they're lighter than female Mantises. both have wings, but only the men can fly because of their size, and even then only short distances. Also Thor 1 is an Isekai
another isekai game, is high on life. the earth is invaded by ailens who turn humans into drugs protag gets gun that talks gun helps the protag get warp thing to go to a space city protag never went to this place before ez
