      You must be able to calculate from any point given just follow the question and understand it. We dan use spot heights or contour lines😅🙂

    How did you get 1.9cm.

    • @EverythingGeography7
      @EverythingGeography7  6 месяцев назад +6

      You’re one of the students who don’t listen in class 🤣 (kidding)
      1.9 cm is measured with the ruler on the map between two points

    What if the answer has two numbers before the comma?...for example 18,2 must i write it as 1:18,2

    • @EverythingGeography7
      @EverythingGeography7  3 месяца назад +1

      You can round off to the nearest 10. In your example you will write 1:18 which is a very steep gradient 🙂

    Aren't u supposed to divide the horizontal equilibrium with 500 coz we 're using topographic map not orthophoto map??

    • @EverythingGeography7
      @EverythingGeography7  6 месяцев назад +4

      No no. Don’t confuse yourself. This is gradient not vertical exaggeration 🙂

    • @nobodyhere0303
      @nobodyhere0303 3 месяца назад +1

      No , to make things simpler you multiply the distance in cm by 500

    When i was dividing 296,7 and 950 it gave me 0,312315785

    • @EverythingGeography7
      @EverythingGeography7  6 месяцев назад

      We want to get a ratio. Listen carefully to what I say on that part 🙂 296,7/296,7 / 950/296,7 which is 1/?? therefore 1 : ? 😉

    • @StanfordKonga-ew9vu

      That's because he didn't Multiply 950 with 500. 950x500=475000.
      2967/475000. Now divide these two figures with 2967 to get 1:160.09
