The thing is any type of rules can be applied to a nuzlocke none of which state you can’t reset and since those said rules aren’t official people need to stop complaining about how she failed, these rules are self imposed which not many people understand the concept of. So I’ve had to explain this since I’ve seen so many cry about it and she was really bummed about it and nobody knows if she will do another one again sooo that really sucks. But it was her run and she was allowed to add what ever she liked to it no matter the whinny crybabies that dumped on her for it.
Anyway great vid bro loved the reaction
Ok
@@Cool_story_bro_nobody_cares honestly I respect her and her twitch audience for trying again because, for me; the accepting defeat and starting afresh isn’t important as Jaiden’s nuzlockes are primarily about telling a great story, and she turned her loss onto a fantastic story.
I really hope she doesn’t let the critics get her down.
@@MidoriyamaRArekusu agreed it’s just a shame that people dumped on her for no reason, she’s a fantastic artist and storyteller and that should be enough for her fans
omg please do one for pokemon all star animation !
You are exactly right with the ending. Jaiden unfortunately lost to the elite four and chat let her retry it to prove she could do it.

Welcome to Crit Hit: The Musical!
A clever thing in the animation that not many people point out is how Jaiden said she "felt a horrible shiver when her Rhyperior came out." That was absolutely foreshadowing how Bertha's Rhyperior ruined her run in her first attempt.
:0
@Adel Eng Sheng Jun Student yeah but It was foreshadowing the amount of crits
accatlly flint ended the run bertha's rhyperior killed 2 pokemons and flint killed the rest
@@proskillzzz2568 Didn't say the run was ended, I said the run was ruined. :p Those crits from Bertha's Rhyperior killed off her two best pokemon, and she knew that Flint would kill off her remaining team due to them being weak to Fire (because otherwise she would have used the Pokemon Bertha killed off) so she made the decision to reset before getting to Flint.

Gen 1:"Oh yeah there are these things called crits you didn't know that they existed?" Gen 4:"CRITS FOR EVERYONE"

Which Gen 1 were you playing? Gen 1 tied crits to speed which basically meant that certain pokemon(looking at you, Alakazam) were basically guaranteed to crit.
You right that Gen 4 was handing out crits like they were candy though.
Jaiden is such a powerful story teller, I've seen this animation roughly 5-6 times and every time i get chills and emotional also, my favourite gen 4 mon is Glaceon or Froslass, I absolutely love ice types
I felt REALLLLY bad for Failure(Shinx) The way she animated him made me super sad

Been binging reactions to see when someone would get it, then spoil myself because I'm incapable of not reading the comments while watching.
In the original stream, she lost actually to the elite four once.
All of her Pokémon were dead and so she had to restart from her saved progress.
This is why this has the giratenia scene of Jaiden being doubled...the first Jaiden is her that she lost the first time for the elite four.
And the other Jaiden is the one that continued the story.
Your welcome.
Someone explained the animation before.
Almost right: She lost die unlucky crits and Lost at the 3rd member of the Elite 4. Since it was her birthday Chat makes a Poll and allowed her to retry the Elite 4 which she then finished like in the Video seen. The clitches are her first try.
One more thing to mention... she did not really lose to the 3rd member of the elite4 but she gave up because her only pokemon left were TURT, SEE and the Scissor... and as we know the 3rd member uses 5 fire pokemons (not like in diamond and pearl where basically just 2 get used) and every pokemon in hear team left is weak to fire or even has a quadweakness. I dont really know the stats of scissor but she maybe could have won with that pokemon against the fireguy using X-(sp.)defence, healing and swordsdances... maybe it get oneshot from it's quadweakness to fire... the other option would be doing the same with TURT but every crit could end it... the last possible thing was quickclaw on TURT and hoping to sweep every pokemon with earthquake lmao (chances would be 1/3125 for 5 quickclaws in a row lol)
She gets a second chance because of her fans and also because its her birthday

Hey you're the first one I've seen who wasn't on the stream and correctly guessed what the timeline split meant!
If you want specifics, her Togekiss got crit by Aaron's Yanmega with a Stone Edge and Bertha's Rhyperior took out her Quagsire with a critted move (don't remember which) and her Garchomp went down to an Avalanche crit, leaving only the fire weakness crew to face off against Flynt. Seeing no way to win against the rest of the E4 and Cynthia, she put up a poll asking people if she should retry her save or end the video and redo the run later. Since she lost not to human error but to crit city central, 70% of the viewers voted for her to retry. She did say that she didn't consider it a nuzlock win and felt bad about the "hollow victory".
Dont pin me on it, but wasn't it Heracross' Stone Edge instead of Yanmega?
@@Lilian_Verseveld yeah, Heracross! My mistake
You can exploit the Global Trade Center to evolve the Scyther, by offering to trade it for an impossible pokemon, like a level 1 Mewtwo, or something similar, as long as nobody could possibly make the trade. When you reconnect and withdraw your Pokemon, the Scyther will evolve. This is a known glitch that works in Diamond, Pearl, Platinum, Heartgold, and Soulsilver.
I did not know!
In Black and White, they force you to fight Ghetsis right after N so if you lose a mon in the N fight, you might be screwed for Ghetsis's fight.
I love that she openly showed in the video that she did not earn the nuzlocke victory due to her losing previously in such an interesting way. Not only did she do that, but she did it in such an amazing and emotional story driven way, using Giratina to split the story the way she did was a super ingenious thing to do. Hats off to her for doing such an amazing job.
I agree. Really good storytelling
@@invividcolor it’s really surprising how she managed to point out the former existence of a whole different timeline’s outcome and the corruption of it separating it from what ended up as the reality for us!!!
…that’s just my thoughts, it really ties everything together solely because Giratina split her in to two versions!
Jaiden was playing with species clause, it was a missclick the resulted in Oops the Whooper.
And considering the Pokémon before, it means that’s a practically guaranteed Gible. And it’s a 20% chance to find. Which is WAY higher than the Gabite chances only found in the lake basement of victory road.
7:00 Actually Gyarados is good in Gen 1 because it has a Special stat of 100, meaning it can make use of water moves.
It only became bad in Gen 2 and 3 because when the Special stat split into Sp.Def and Sp.Atk, Gyarados got absolutely shafted and got the terrible Special Attack stat it has today.
Oh, good call! I completely blanked on that. Glad that fish boy is at least good now though!

Flakes' nature ended up being Hasty, which is another factor in Jaiden's outspeeding Cynthia's. She probably could've outsped without it because of EV's, but it's still "fun" to believe that it was a necessary thing for it to outspeed and that if she caught the Gible earlier on, it likely wouldn't have been a speed increasing nature.
bruh failure's death was so sad he stood no chance but i had a little hope that failure might live
What you thought frostlass missed ice beam
She probably could have trained him a bit to give him a better chance if she wanted
Jaden is probably one of the best animators I've ever seen
I thought it was absolutely brilliant how Jaiden built up that finale. I got chills when I paused at a creepypasta frame of Giratina grinning.
When she encountered the Gible in Wayward Cave, she actually used dupes clause and previously caught everything that you can encounter there to guarantee a Gible.
Plus, she actually didn't intend to throw the pokeball at Oops, she meant to run.
Rowan knows he can't stop you from going into the grass, so he decides to at least mitigate the possible damages
For the Gible encounter, I understand that she actually and intentionally managed to set it up so that she had previously caught every other pokemon that appears in the cave, so by the duplicates clause she was guaranteed it would be her encounter.
You see, she lost her first attempt at the elite four due to crits, and since it wasn't fair, her chat let her continue. That's why the whole Giratina split thing happened
My fav is Mismagius, I love Misdreavus and to see my Fav Ghost type from when I was growing up get an evolved form I was so dam happy

Si- nah im a simp too 🤡
I think she's probably the best challenge of a Champion, not counting Blue in the Gen1 games.
... but I think I had 'more fun' fighting Leon in Shield.
And it kinda sucks, because the games really try to hype up getting there but...
Okay, Gen 3 we had the remake and Blue wasn't quite as terrible to take on with the evolution of the battle system. We also had either Steven or Wallace, both of which stuck to a type theme and thus wound up being modestly easy to play around. The trouble for me in Emerald (yes, I played that one instead of R/S) was in figuring out how to get through the Elite Four.
Gen 4 had Cynthia (but I never did play Platinum, I only had Pearl...) and she had a pretty solid spread for her team with few ways to get around her ace. (I think I had to Max Revive an Empoleon to make it out while a Torterra dropped as much damage as it could.) It also had Lance in the HG/SS games - but I can't take Lance seriously as an opponent. (Love the character, love the design, love he's willing to actually DO STUFF unlike the other Champions... but he loses to ice.)
Gen 5 had N and Alder, as well as Ghetsis. N was hard due to automatically having a Legendary on his team, but you get practically given the other flagship Legendary right before him... Ghetsis was worse if only because you rolled right from N into his battle, and his cheating a-- has an underleveled Hydrageon. I can't in good conscience think Alder is worth it, because he got cleaned by N before we fight him.
Gen 6 had Diantha, whose design I liked, her battle music is great... but I wasn't too impressed by her team. It's like she was trying to be Cynthia but missed the boat. (I also didn't like how she was barely in the story mode... either don't show up, or be more present.) The AS/OR remakes return to Steven but he winds up being a little tougher due to how things have changed. (Note: I also really prefer Remake!Wally to the original. The final battle theme he has is a certified winner, just wish it'd play on rematches.)
Gen 7 didn't necessarily have a Champion since you took the role and then had to weather challengers. I really liked this.
Gen 8 has Leon. Who is both an idiot and not a slouch - if you're overleveled, you can clean him out easier and it's easy to overlevel without even trying in Galar. If you're not ready to deal with him, though, you might get screwed over... it's easier if you can one-shot his ace Charizard, which is harder since it G-Maxes on you as soon as he gets it out.
I dunno, like I said. I had the most fun fighting Leon (as opposed to curbstomping a Champion like Lance...) but I think Cynthia was just the most challenging. Wish the next games can bring that sort of challenge back.
What I love about reactions to this nuzlock is that every time Jaiden says, “Hi,” everyone says hi back! I absolutely love it!
Gen 1: "There are crits but they are rare."
Gen 4: "You get a crit! You get a crit! Everyone gets a crit!!!!!"
you’re the first reactor I’ve seen to guess the secret of the ending
Jaiden was using the dupes clause, in this video she doesn’t specify for brevity’s sake but during the streams she had planned out which Pokemon she would need to have already caught in order to keep searching for gible until it showed up which made it hurt even more that bite crit it. All that planning and careful execution for nothing! As for Oops, if I remember right I believe she would’ve used the species clause, but because of her misclick it was a “you dance with the one that brought you” situation.
0:30
"What is your favorite Gen 4 Pokemon?"
...
Giratina. It's adorable. It's altered form looks like a fat squishy huggable floating snek and I love it.
Also love the power it has obviously.
Regarding Oops the Wooper: I think Jaiden plays by a variation on the species clause where if you encounter a 'mon from the same line as one you have, you can run away and re-encounter, but if you catch it, then it's your only encounter since it's your fault you caught it.
This animation was fun to watch but also sad after knowing what had happened.
For the gible encounter she manipulated it by knowing what other mons spawned there and caught them in other routes to force dupes until she could get the gible
That's not really manipulating it, that's just good Nuzlocke preparation to be honest.
I fully cried at the end Jaidens animation when I first watched it T_T
I just realized (one year later) that faint attack leaves your Pokémon at 1hp. So Dwayne was meant to live
0:26 Glaceon and Leafeon
I mean its my favorite types as eeveelutions so ofc I'm gonna like them-
I've watched 5-6 of these reactions to this animation now, and I think you're the only guy that got what the giratina thing meant. Good on you for picking up on that! You're also the only one that I noticed that reacted to her slight glitch-out right before Cynthia, too.
Haha, just good visual storytelling on Jaiden's end! Thank you though!
I couldn’t agree more about Volkner. He is my all time favorite gym leader. And his ace Electivire (my all time favorite Pokémon) always has an entrance of blue fire as it comes in. Which I love. Hope they recreate that when the inevitable remakes happen. Electivire is a boss I wish more people tried. Even if it’s in bad need of set up moves and could use some updated coverage and stab. Its stats are still just below a pseudo legendary dammit.
Jaiden lost to terrible luck in her first run of the elite four, but the stream chat told her to try again because it was her birthday and they wanted to see her team prevail.
Hence the “Even if you think I deserve this timeline, I don’t think I’ll ever be able to accept it.”
It’s clear that she appreciates what her fans tried to do, giving her story a happy ending… but was that really how HER story ended?
respect you dude for actually going the extra mile and see what the ending was about to put it in the reaction video, i think you are the 3rd out of 7th reactions i watched so far who did that which i give you mad respect for and appreciate. Keep up the great work and have a wonderful time! :D
Im also a big fan of Toxicroak too and loved that Marnier had one since she is one of my favorite characters.
Honestly, good on her to re-try the elite 4 even if she lost. She made a really compelling story out of it.
Jaiden probably didn't know that Night Slash has an increased crit chance, which explains the 2 critical hits at 11:08.

Holy shit I didn’t notice that! And you’re the first reactor I’ve seen who did! Great eye!
I love Jaiden’s videos it’s really cool that she lets people react to the video. I love your reactions as always. Very wholesome ❤️
True statement. Bertha’s Rhyperior was a overall brutal maniac. And her magnezone, scizor and turt was burned by a overall weakness that she lost the other 3 too
My favorite is Palkia as a legendary, I just love dragons, and space stuff and the fact that he is water type aswell is awesome. His design is also amazing.
My non-legendary favorite is torterra. The bulkiness and the earth design on his/her back is so well thought. Also turtwig is adorable 🥰
As for the Scizor in the ice gym. She realized a little bit later that adding steel type meant it wasn't flying type anymore so during the gym she still thought it was weak to ice.
As someone who's doing a Pokémon platinum nuzlocke. These crits are SPOT ON, Gen 4's crit rates are certified insane.
Yeah you were right her Quagsire, Garchomp, and Togakiss all got crit back to pack leaving Torterra, Magnazone, and Scizor for the fire Elite 4 member so she admitted defeat
This is why I enjoy you reacting. Honestly funny and enjoyable content for me.
Turtwig was my first ever Pokémon in Pokémon brilliant diamond and I have always chose the grass type as my starter ever since
OMG youtube recommended your video and now I know why. Glad that there is someone else that loves toxicroak 🙌🏽
Finally!
It's really cool how much you know about pokemon. This is the knowledge I aspire to have, man.
She had caught everything from the cave elsewhere using the “doops clause” forcing gible being the only Pokémon left to catch in the cave
Also, I’m pretty sure Shrimp the Scisor could’ve swept the ice gym. Neutral to ground and resists ghost-type moves since this is Gen IV. Failure didn’t have to die.

Okay, so funny thing about the starters in Gen 4, at least to me. My first starter was chimchar, and it was cool for my first time playing a pokemon game, but as I got older, I started to prefer water and grass pokemon, and ever since, turtwig has been my favorite sinnoh starter.
I found you through the Jaiden reactions. Enjoying the content but I just subscribed today, because my brain is indeed square.
Chimchar is good, I used it all the time in pokemon Pearl (also that there are only 2 fire types in that game, the other is a Ponyta). But I can understand that people rather pick Turtwig as it becomes immune to electric once evolved and learned great heavy hitting moves. Also that Infernape was the second fire/fighting in a row when it came to the fire starters, so it felt like using Blaziken all over again.
4:58 yup. Her Torchic kept killing Zigzagoons til one killed her Nuzleaf.
I kinda liked when the newer games started to let pokemon have TM moves on random trainer pokemon. It's also the reason why i'm in the camp where a gym leader who is an expert in a certain type of moves instead of a certain type of pokemon would be more fun!
You would still know to expect fire type moves in the fire gym, but you might end up against a water or rock type pokemon who just so happen to have a great fire type move too, so you had to think both more offensivly and defensivly at the same time...
Yeah the thing with Jaiden's Gible encounter is that she planned for it. She took advantage of the rule that says you can retry your encounters if you already have the Pokemon you meet. So she got every other pokemon in that cave so she could purposefully hunt for Gible without breaking the rules
My favourite Gen 4 and favourite pokemon overall is Lucario, I liked them so much when i first saw him and then grew greater when i watched the Pokemon movie featuring them and mew
4:10
Rowan: I know you'll jump into the tall grass the second my back is turned, and I cannot stop you, so fckn... take these or something
I have used a Crobat on every one of my teams since I finally was able to evolve one. It's my second favorite mon. Arcanine is my all-time favorite.
What i would do i guess is scizor bullet punch and then garchomp to make sure to kill, garchomp needs a lot of exp to evolve and lvl up being a psuedo and evolves at lvl 48. So ev’s will likely be invested, plus the nature’s matter too. And then it’s 5 vs 3 so it’s much easier
I've never managed to finish a nuzlocke because I forget half way through that I'm doing a nuzlocke. Lol 😅
I always name myself Nuzlocke in the game so I never forget.
@@ethnictendo I never thought to do that. Thanks for the tip, I'll have to do that next time.
To get the gibble in a nuzlock you pretty much have to stack your previous catches so that you can ignore the rest of the pokemon in the area through the species clause...or have the luck of a shining, golden god.
she actually was playing with dupe clause, which I think is how she got the gibble.
So another thing about Big Boy’s death: Big Boy was Tail Whipped by the Ponyta before the Flame Wheel. With a crit, there was no way he could live...
For ppl who didn't understand the end, Jaiden actually lost at Elite four because:
1) Heracross crit Stone Edge on Togekiss
2) Quagsire and Garchomp died to Rhypherior's Earthquake and Avalanche respectively( Garchomp's Dig didn't kill and Avalanche got him in exchange while Quagsire was crit by Earthquake)
3) Other 3 pokemon would've died against Flint cuz all of them were weak to fire
Man Jaiden SHOULD re-do the pokemon anime via animated Nuzlockes of every game in order lol.
I’m actually doing a platinum nuzlocke currently. And magikarp is a great Pokémon for a nuzlocke. It’s a nightmare to train to level 20 especially when you catch it at level 5. But once it’s a gyarados you’re so OP. I always follow the philosophy of if a move is not 100% accurate it’s 50% accurate. So I try to use 100% accurate moves as much as I can even if they aren’t as powerful.
I watched the VODs on her second channel and it really was crit the game. She got critted so many times. And she did lose originally togekiss got critted by stone edge against Aaron I think garchomp and oops got critted as well. But it was her birthday and ran a poll and 70% said she should redo the elite four
As far as I know, this happened when her chat told her they would give her another chance
I like how she did the losing to the elite 4 thing
I like how it was handled
I think my saddest death is on my current run of Yellow...My Nidoqueen I named Bathory died in one shot from a self-destructing Voltorb immediately after she evolved into said Nidoqueen. She was the only reason I survived brock thanks too her gaining double kick at lvl 12. Luckily I was able to swap in with Philip the Nidoran(m) who is currently in my top 3; Philip the lvl 50 Nidorino, Tulip the lvl 48 Victreebel & Moana the lvl 50 Laprass.
I like her storytelling in the video. Like you said, she makes it seem more interesting/immersive than it is. But now it's been 2 nuzlockes already. Time to spice things up! She needs to go with randomized encounters

I did the same thing with a Pokémon gold nuzlocke at one point. I had a solid strategy going into the fight with Clair, but made a critical error which ended in me just missing a one shot ko on her kingdra, and lost 4 Pokémon in the battle. So I reset and tried again, fixing the error, and won with just one, intended, death. But I ended up boxing all the ones that died in the first attempt and tried moving forward from there with only a graveler and typhlosion, and ran into 4 water trainers on my way to victory road.
Also, if anyone was interested, my strategy was to use electrode with silk scarf to explode on kingdra, but I forgot to equip the silk scarf and it left her with a sliver of hp.
