- 2017 was a magical time to be a Nintendo fan. From the launch of the Nintendo Switch, to great games like Breath of the Wild and Super Mario Odyssey, it was a fantastic year. I have so many great memories from 2017, and I thought I'd make a video talking about why I love this year so much. Thanks for Watching!

The switch came out when I was coming out of middle school. The switch had been my daily driver throughout highschool, and about to go to college. I'm not gonna lie, I remember all of these directs and showcases like it was yesterday, truly a magical year for nintendo fans.
I was in a game shop in 2018 dreaming about I playing with a switch, while I was looking at one. Then my father said: "wich one do you want?" I was so happy then (and still)
The only problem with 2017 is that no other year will ever live up to it. That year was too good lol. Great video 👍

I vividly remember that release trailer. I had just got home with a friend and we were both screaming for joy at the look of this console and how promising it looked. Those few days were just incredible after years of not too much worth note
I remember being like a kid on Christmas when I got my switch. I had played the heck out of my Wii U and was ready to move on to switch. I remember on Christmas getting BOTW and a pre-order for odyssey. Thank you for making this video so I can go back and remember.

2019 was an amazing year. The best Nintendo E3 ever in my opinion and a lot of magical games such as Fire Emblem Three Houses, Super Mario Maker 2 and Luigi's Mansion 3 and many great third party games.
But the magic of 2017 is still unmatched. You have put into words everything I feel about that year.

Such a nostalgic video, thanks for making it 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽I bought my switch day one at Walmart with Breath of the wild and a buddy of mine that happened to be there at the time bought my daughters 1-2- switch when he noticed that the Zelda game was the only one I could afford that night and he didn’t want my daughters to return home empty handed. I won’t forget that night.. ever.
It was a great year and it kept going! I made a lot of friends in the community. I think I met you that year too. Happy four years!

I was in 6th grade when Mario Odyssey and I remember I was so hyped for it even my mom understood and actually went out and bought the game for me and picked me up early from school for it

I Never want the Nintendo Switch to Die!!!
I had actually given up on Nintendo for so long. As a lifelong fan since the 90s, I had a 3DS and a Wii U with a bunch of games, I sold them all. I truly believed that Nintendo had lost their way and I would never support them again. I tried to argue with Breath of the Wild players that the game just looked like another rehash, even though I was secretly curious to play. Eventually that Mario Odyssey E3 trailer got me good, I caved and bought a Switch. It was like my entire childhood and teen years had come back, better than it ever was before. I cried playing all three of Mario Odyssey, Breath of the Wild and Xenoblade 2. I realized in 2017, the Nintendo Magic was burning brighter than ever before. 2017 was "Nintendo is Back, Baby" the Year. I'll never give up on Nintendo ever again.

Kind of the opposite. Everyone thought the Switch would fail. Now, 4 years later, its on track to be their best selling console ever.
2017 was a great year for Nintendo but 2022 might be just as good considering BOTW 2, the new Kirby game and switch sports are all scheduled to release this year.

In general since the launch of the XbOne and PS4 around the end of 2013 until mid/begginings of 2015 the WiiU went strong af

2019 was almost as good thought. 2018, 2020, and 2021 so far hasn’t been that good.
I used to always laugh at those idiot articles/videos talking about Nintendo becoming a 3rd party developer

Also I guess 2022 will be very great too because : splatoon 3, very probably botw 2, maybe metroid prime 4, Pokémon legend and some game who aren’t announced :)

this is a very unpopular opinion but I kinda don't like the switch, it's kind of boring, the UI is bland, there is no music, it's just kind of lifeless compared to the wii u, 3ds, wii, etc. The games are fine, maybe I don't like odysey that much, I have mixed opinions on that game, BOTW is amazing, there are some good games and some bad games. but the switch itself wasn't that good, plus, the switch's quality isn't reliable, joycons break easily, they're not that good to use and don't even get me started on joycon drift
I just don't get it. Even with a solid line up of first party titles and future anouncements that year, the switch had piss poor third party support and that has persisted every year since then. Sure they get some really downgraded ports years after release, but those are few and far between. That responsibility lies with nintendo, not the publishers. Even microsoft during the late xbox 360 era had a terrible first party lineup, but had at least tons of tripple-A third party games.
Sure, the switch has solid indie support, but so has ps4, and even xbox to some extent.
I seriously want to ask everyone : How can you be okay with this? Why settle for less when you know nintendo has the money to spend on exclusives and third party deals? I'm only saying this so that switch users will get better support from nintendo, cuz personally i would never buy a switch over a ps5, xbox one, ps4, or even ps3/xbox 360 for that matter.
Since the SNES days, the Nintendo exclusives is what carries their consoles. That's it. If you don't like em' idk if it's for you
@@MrDiana1706 I just feel like they can do better cus they have done better. Lots of third party exxclusives on the GC and even wii. Now all they do is decade old releases of xboxps3 games it feels like.
