Namchi is the District headquarter of South Sikkim , INDIA . HERE having too many tourist spots mesmerising landscapes you will get i.e Samdruptse, Char Dham, Sai mandir , Rose Garden etc..........
The world's largest statue about 118 feet of the Buddhist Padmasambhava, also known as Guru Rinpoche, the patron saint of Sikkim, is on the Samdruptse hill opposite Namchi. A helipad is located 5 km from the town at an altitude of around 5000 ft.
Namchi is fast becoming a tourist spot and pilgrimage centre.The Namchi Monastery, Ralang Monastery and Tendong Hill are local Buddhist pilgrimage centres.
Namchi is situated at an altitude of 1,675 m or 5500 feet above sea level . It has an average elevation of 1,315 metres or 4,314 ft.
There having also another tourist spot , giant statue of Lord shiva called Char Dham about 108 ft. situated here .

By Air :
The nearest airport is Bagdogra in West Bengal about 102 kms from Namchi which is a domestic airport and connected to the nearest international airport being Kolkata in West Bengal.
By Train :
The nearest railway station is New Jalpaiguri Station in West Bengal about 96 kms from Namchi from where one can avail trains to different parts of the country.
By Road :
Namchi is approximately about 92 kms from Siliguri. The Sikkim Nationalised Transport (SNT) buses regularly running from Namchi to Siliguri. Private taxis are also available on regular basis for hire or on shared basis. It is situated at a distance of 78 kilometres from the state capital Gangtok .
Namchi lies off the road between Melli and Jorethang. Namchi is well connected to other towns in Sikkim and West Bengal. Jeeps and buses regularly running between Namchi to Gangtok, Pelling, Jorethang, Kalimpong and Siliguri.
