Im Kuwaiti and i never went to Friday market😂 let me tell you one important thing, you will never know where to go by internet, you have to ask a KUWAITI to tell you the good places ... anyways I recommend mayar complex in shuwaikh .. arabica cafe .. altilal complex .. shuwaikh market .. you dont have to buy anything just visiting is fun, oh and also miral, the lake, the village
Hamad Alshalal well shes from a different side of the world so obviously your type of 'fun' vs her type of 'fun' will be different, especially being a Muslim country its different to where shes from...its her views and thats not being negative thats what she personally feels so dont judge...im sure if you go to a western country you would say alot of things that are different aswel including negative things....and yes that traffic is scary!
Would love to see a video about why you moved there, whether it is forever, what your family thinks, what it's like living in a place with such a different culture.. etc.
you can try to have a walk in the marina walk beside the scientific center and you can rent a bicycle too. another thing you can do is go to the sultan jeans grill you can find it in the gps, you will find alot of boats parked there.theres that boat that you can ride its 1 kd per person for a 20 minute ride the best timing is during the sunset, i hope you enjoy.
Fun to see you out and about in Kuwait. Is it fall in Kuwait? What must it be like mid summer? Yes, your roomie is correct. Canadians love poutine!. Originally from the province of Quebec, but now is available and loved across Canada. Where in Canada is your friend from? Since it so hot in the daytime, do you ladies feel safe out at night? Curious, what do you do on a date in Kuwait?. Hope you Don't mind questions.
Sally Croft there’s no such thing as fall in kuwait 😂 there’s barely any trees Also during the summer it’s like 40-55 degrees Celsius. Very very hot. But during this time of year it’s not that bad. It’s around 30-35 degrees.
It's not really fall because it's still really hot and nothing here is green so you don't see the leaves change and that kind of thing. It's a shame because I love fall! My roommate's from near Toronto. I keep telling her I'm going to go stay with her one day there because I'd love to visit Canada! I feel totally safe at night in Kuwait. I actually feel safer in Kuwait than I do in a lot of places in the UK. As for my date, we went out for a meal because there are so many great places to eat here! :)
Aimee Rebecca: Thanks for your response. I live within the GTA of Toronto as well. Definately, come to Canada one day. Looking forward to your next vlog.
Friday is the first day of the weekend because Muslims go to mosques on Friday noon especially. Friday market is more like one pound market or like one dollar market very local market not much of Kuwaitis out there, a place where you think you made good deal, but it's good deal for the sellers as always 😂😆sneaky. But very nice market ✋🏼. No worries cross the streets with confident wait for a good time it doesn't have to be perfect empty street. I love the "inshallah" usage 🎗🎖 1 -food 2 -shopping this is who Kuwaiti spend their money. You did both of them in one video. Your are becoming Kuwaiti 😂🤗
Hey aimee! Make a video talking about yourself, your social media, your major in college (if you're in college) and how old are you and stuff! We'd like to know more about you :) 💕 And i hope you a nice stay in kuwait 💙🇰🇼
Thank you! :) It's funny. I was just thinking today that I might make a video like that, but I wasn't sure if anyone would want to watch it. Now I know you're interested, I'll definitely film it! 💕
Its been four years since I Ieft Kuwait. I remember that bus stop when I was a teenager going to play soccer there . everything is cheap in kuwait juat you have to know where to get it ! , Like I used to afford to eat out everyday in kuwait but here in US it will break your budget .
My boyfriend moved to Kuwait around the same time as you and he's constantly quite bored there... he doesn't like shopping so the malls being the points of interest bore him. But he has found himself doing a lot of more "sport adventure things" if you're into that at all... ATV's in the sand, trampoline parks.. that sort of thing. From what I see the problem is there's extreme consumerism and a lack of museums, galleries, sightseeing etc... but a lot of food options from all over the world and some cool culture.
if u just went to farwaniya + avenues + Friday market then you didn't see Kuwait yet!!! GO TO KUWAIT CITY!! visit JACC in Shuwaikh and see the fountain, go see Alshaheed Park + walk around kuwait city its so much fun. you should try PICK café too.
I find it fascinating to see Sephora, Ikea, IHop etc in other countries. I have no idea why. Also, I'm American but we have some poutine places. And it's pretty bangin.
Sorry if there were any annoying comments, I wish that you’re enjoying your life in Kuwait. I know crossing streets is tricky, and I always complain about not having the “ zebra lines” for pedestrians, since I’ve been studying in Australia and there are lots of them there. I am happy to help you as much as I can to make your experience in Kuwait an unforgettable one, by answering any question you may have! Good Luck!
I'm moving to Kuwait this winter and I am SO excited to go back, I miss it so much! ❤️ Is it weird to say I got... homesickness watching this? For lack of a better word? Haha gotta love all that craziness. When people cross the road though they just sorta walk without caring and people drive around them. I could never get myself to be that composed though either. 😂😂
Ha ha... just ate poutine tonight lol 🇨🇦Canadian here {Ottawa, Ontario- Canada's Capital city). It sounds like a very odd combo but with this type of cheese it's just perfection! As the hot gravy melts the cheese curds over the fresh cut fries... mmm... it's basically a party in your mouth! Definitely a cheat night food, great for after a night of drinking too! Love ur videos (just found you and am binge watching). I love to learn what it would be like to live in different places around the world 🌎
I'm sure it's delicious when you taste it, but the thought of it is just so strange to me haha! I'm hoping to get to Canada next year and then I can try it for myself. Thanks so much for your comment and I'm glad you're enjoying the videos!
This video is pretty awesome! I'm Canadian and I just came to Kuwait 5 months ago. I totally get everything you said and yesss poutine is a thing and we love it!!!
Aimee Rebecca it's alright the heat is getting annoying now but the food is amazing here... But overall it's an experience and it'll have the positive and negative so I'm just going with the flow :)
@@AimeeRebecca I recognised the place. I used to work in Kuwait and Farwania use to be our pick up point on fridays. From there I would go to The Avenues without fail and I have lived all my fridays in the Avenues, I have lived the place.
thinking about emigrating to Kuwait! can anyone point out any great things about this country? looks amazing so far but moving countries is a big thing! super indecisive
Both of you need an experienced guider how knows the good places to hangout otherwise you will see the positive side of Kuwait with all the negativity I'm here for 9 years and I felt the same initially 👍🏻
I'm quite surprised that you went to al dajeej, Friday market and al-farwaniya cuz these aren't tourist attraction places but I like how you love to explore different areas and just live it your way! I have to agree with you about the roads LOL.
Poutine is fabulous. So good. I'm American and I've considered traveling to Canada just to get some. I've tried to recreate it but you can't get the cheese here and it has to be the right cheese.
So you're a teacher? I teach art in middle school. There are some better places you can go to than Farwaniya. Try Souq Almubarakiya it's the oldest market in Kuwait but it also has some modern places around it. Have fun.
The weather are getting better you should to alshahed park in your weekend also you have (dar aloprah) 360 mall alhamra mall I recommend it to you and your house mates
Aimee Rebecca i know my ppl could be so dramatic sometimes I am sorry for all the negativity. i genuinely like your videos cause they're so real and you're so honest and sweet. Id like to hangout with you sometime 💘

Kuwait is not expensive at all I’m from Kuwait but born and live in London when we go there £100 is around 50/55 Kuwait money. And also crossing situation they get a driving license without a test they just get it😂😂 no one walks on Kuwait
The exchange rate excellent when you want to change your kd to pretty much any other currency in the world, which I guess is one of the reasons there are so many expats here. I here London is very pricey too though. The cost of living is nowhere near as expensive as this where I'm from! That totally makes sense if they don't take a test 😂
all the people staring-and-walking in the video and the crazy drivers are not Kuwaitis, mostly Egyptians and Indians who came from very poor villages and uneducated community, thats why. you guys should meet up some Kuwaitis.
I don't blame you to reply me with an angry comment, the truth might really hurt. Anyways, thank you for saying that we are highly educated, thats enough.
yo yo chill out Egypt was one of the earliest civilizations and it helped Kuwait to rise up. All the huge scientist from the Arab world came from Egypt bro. Like Ahmed zoual that got the nobel prize. Egypt and Britian helped Kuwait with the iraqi war. on the other hand, Kuwait has many important jobs and good quality of life thats why lots of people from different countries come to Kuwait and they help it, but Kwaiti's just seem to not appreciate it. I do respect your comment anyways. I just wanted to clear things bro because its not nice to say to other countries that live in your society like that. We all live in harmany and peace and we help each other. Havent you heard of the quote Egypt is the mother of all contries.
That’s a really racist and a disrespectful comment. Everyone is welcomed in Kuwait. Believe me after your comment, no one would like to meet up with kuwaitis. People like you are distorting our image. I bet that those egyptians and indians are more educated than you. Education worths nothing without good morals and ethics which you lack. For anyone is reading this conversation, I assure you that this guy represents no one but himself. Kuwaiti people are much more better than him.
Totally disagree with you that kuwait is so expensive I have lived in ireland for 8 years which similar to uk Petrol is 5 times more expensive in ur country Food, electronics, clothes and bills are more expensive in ur country Renting apartment is hell expensive Tax is on everything
I've never been to Ireland, but I hear it's very expensive too. Electronics here are cheaper because there's no tax, but food, clothes, makeup, toiletries etc are all a lot more costly than they are at home.

I've found the same thing. I'm not really into shopping and there's not a huge amount to do other than that. The food is amazing though!
I'm from Canada too and we do call the food shops the grocery store. Also poutine is delicious!
Kuwait Ministry will stop issuing visas during month of Ramadan?

Yep, we went into Farwania at one point
@@AimeeRebecca I recognised the place. I used to work in Kuwait and Farwania use to be our pick up point on fridays. From there I would go to The Avenues without fail and I have lived all my fridays in the Avenues, I have lived the place.

I’m Canadian and putine is sooooo good it’s like a cheesy bowl with gravy and u can dip ur French fries into them almost like chips and dip
thinking about emigrating to Kuwait! can anyone point out any great things about this country? looks amazing so far but moving countries is a big thing! super indecisive
I am a kuwaiti and i never went to friday market lol i alway pass by it but never went in!
You should go some time! It was a good way to while away a couple of hours and we really enjoyed it. It made a change from the usual places we go to.
Aimee Rebecca yeah I should actually, I always wanted to go but I don't know why I haven't! I'll go soon
In Science We Trust LOL it's a part from kuwait that I have to see it at least 😂
Dana AlGhanim you must visit Friday market because it’s clean now not like before.
Jerry Noronha yeah I must go actually but now one wants to go there I'm waiting for someone to come with me I don't want to go alone 😂
Both of you need an experienced guider how knows the good places to hangout otherwise you will see the positive side of Kuwait with all the negativity I'm here for 9 years and I felt the same initially 👍🏻
I really like it here. I could probably do with getting out and seeing more places though. I've only been here a month so I'm still exploring.
Poutine is a Quebecois dish originally made with French fries and cheese curds topped with a brown gravy
The traffic situation reminds me of Addis Ababa tbh
I'm quite surprised that you went to al dajeej, Friday market and al-farwaniya cuz these aren't tourist attraction places but I like how you love to explore different areas and just live it your way! I have to agree with you about the roads LOL.
Can I ask you a question which school do you teach in
Now it's hurting season please try to go hunting or fishing or just chilling in the desert because the weather is getting colder

I recommend Shaheed park, Boulevard and Marina beach. There are more, but those are my favourite places.
So you're a teacher? I teach art in middle school. There are some better places you can go to than Farwaniya. Try Souq Almubarakiya it's the oldest market in Kuwait but it also has some modern places around it. Have fun.
Yep, I teacher Year 1. I've visited Al Mumarakiya a couple of times :)
Aimee Rebecca Enjoy your stay and if you need any more information about Kuwait don't hesitate to ask.

Do you teach Primary? I've been offered a job in a British school and would love to ask some Qs!
Yes I do. Fire your questions at me. When I first got my job here I had about 5000 questions haha.
Please dont mind the drama some ppl are making in the comments lol. I like your videos please keep making more of them.
Thank you! I've had so many negative comments since I started posting about my life in Kuwait. It's nice to have some support!
Aimee Rebecca i know my ppl could be so dramatic sometimes I am sorry for all the negativity. i genuinely like your videos cause they're so real and you're so honest and sweet. Id like to hangout with you sometime 💘
Go to souk al- mubarkiya and the marina mall and al shaheed park , and 360 mall , and the lake and polivard Kuwait is much fun to hangout and shopping
Try To Use Google Map , And Save Ur Fav. place in The App .. Recommended To Have Some Body Trust Him On Location issues :)

My money evaporates here! I never buy anything and yet I still end up coming home with an empty wallet haha
Ofcourse u must have breakfast in Mubarakiya or dinner there. To know whats going on in Kuwait u will need to follow some bloggers such as aroundq8
1:50 i guess you were in hawally or salmiya, salmiya is where i lived before now i live in mangaf.
Loved this! Hi to your roommate :) Favorite part was crossing the road - lol - glad you all lived to see another day :)
Haha! You never know if you're going to make it or not 😂
It's getting cooler. Time to take a.cruise on the gulf. Crossing the road is a piece of cake one after one year-end)
Where u from dear?
Many modern parks that you can go for free are open for the public, many like 'real' Kuwaiti families love going there for a stop for coffee.
Now its the season to walk along the beach or cycle or go to parks and morning yoga
crossing roads in Kuwait is horrible, usually, people stop and let you cross especially if you are awoman.
People tend to stop when you start to walk out, but walking out onto the road is so scary!
She’s like I spent a lot of money today and then she says I spent 30 kd ... I’m like girl that’s what I spend when I go to the movies 🎥 😂
Walking away is everyones style to bargain😝
You should attend the shows in the venues like Shaheed Park or many other places if you want to see the culture and the influence of music on us
I've lived there my whole life I can point you to nice places
Thank you for the advice.
Y does this video have so many dislikes. 🤔🤔🤔 I personally loved it.
you should go to Shuwaikh Market and Creative Design Center
Thanks for the advice!

That totally makes sense if they don't take a test 😂
Aimee Rebecca 😂
I segust you go to 360mall or al-kut for the cinema and fawntens
I was in london and Kuwait compared to London is considered a very very cheap country and We have no taxes
I very, very rarely go to London...mostly because it's so expensive 😂
@@AimeeRebecca where is abeedah from
She's from Toronto :) @@Nazreen9997
Keep safe always ma’am
You have a nice content living in kuwait.
and why did you go to the worst places?!
Amiee...Good to c u again this weekend
Bubble bath my favorite part about the day is that
all the people staring-and-walking in the video and the crazy drivers are not Kuwaitis, mostly Egyptians and Indians who came from very poor villages and uneducated community, thats why. you guys should meet up some Kuwaitis.
Abdulaziz Al-Assaf are you Kuwaiti? There are some Kuwaitis too who are uneducated though they finished studies..
@@anasmohammed7045 but attitude not goood
There is a made sea in khairan the water is so clear
i live in kuwait :)
I'm watching from salmiya kuwait.
You should cross the street from the light signal not in Middle of the road 😒
We would love to send you stuff for your class. Is that even possible?
i think we have more than what you think :)
That's so sweet and thoughtful. Postage is an absolute nightmare here though. I got a package sent from home and it took four weeks to turn up! 😂
You should have a Kuwaiti guiding you for the best places or just go ahead and waste your time in the worst places
I miss kuwait so much!!!
I am a Kuwaiti the there is a lot of nice places in Kuwait that you didn't went
There's no Zebra crossing..What the hell .
Nice vlog 🥰
You should make a Kuwaiti friends that will lead you to good places
U still there?
Yes, I'm here until the end of the school year.
Aimee Rebecca I really don't know what to expect still. I will be going at the end of August. Thank you for doing this though.x
Good luck with the move! :)
Aimee Rebecca Muchas gracias para informacion. Aura, yo en espana.x
exclaimed the way of his weekend
Totally disagree with you that kuwait is so expensive
I have lived in ireland for 8 years which similar to uk
Petrol is 5 times more expensive in ur country
Food, electronics, clothes and bills are more expensive in ur country
Renting apartment is hell expensive
Tax is on everything
I've never been to Ireland, but I hear it's very expensive too. Electronics here are cheaper because there's no tax, but food, clothes, makeup, toiletries etc are all a lot more costly than they are at home.
Aimee Rebecca thats it im moving to wales 😝
Soory but you went to the bad side in kuwait and u didn’t have fun in the great places
Are you two women safe? It looks like lots of young men and very few women around you.
Denise Carter It is normal in Kuwait.
Denise Carter kuwait has a very low crime rate and there’s always a lot of men around in the areas she was in. It’s normal
It's totally safe. I feel safer here than I do in a lot of places in the UK :)
Aimee Rebecca just be a bit careful, there is a lot of thieves and robbers roaming around now... in my area especially. But of course we are okay :D
Denise Carter lots of guards shes fine there's literally a guard in this restaurant
30 KD is nothing 😂😂😂a mall trip for us is at least 100 KD😂💔u can’t stop buying stuff here 😂
I definitely can't afford to do that! 😂 I'm trying to avoid the malls at all costs or else I'll spend all my money!
Nice video
