For notes check this link: www.allaboutelectronics.org/mosfet-amplifire-with-active-load/
    Correction (Please note):
At 8:08 For the PMOS transistor, instead of Vt, it should be |Vt|. That means Vsd should be greater than or equal to Vsg - |Vt|
At 11:11, instead of Vt in the equation, it should be |Vt| for PMOS transistor.

This together with the cascode amplifier video saved my life, my lecturer spend one and half hour to explain these stuff and only end up confusing everybody.....Thank you!

This is a nice circuit in RF when you can couple the input the the bias node as well for twice the gain.

ro for PMOS can be noticeably larger than ro for NMOS as transistors get smaller, so clever sizing can give you an intrinsic gain amplifier.

Hi, thanks for amazing videos. What is the right video to start from lecture 1 on MOSFET working and going towards building complex circuits?

You can check the JFET and MOSFET playlist. The playlist also covers the solved examples.

Hi thank you for the videos, I have a burning question and I really hope you can help me out please!! I am requires to design an amplifier with |Av|= 100V/V and drives a load between 10k to 1M. VDD=5V and Vin= 0.01sin(2pi1000t). I need to simulate this on cadence, may I know what are the steps required?

The extra current is nice in a active loaded circuit, but the noise of the PMOS device is much higher than a resistor.

Sir I'm a little confused with gm expressions why we can't use gm=2Id/Vgs-Vt? In this case we have another answer. I watched the lesson about gm, it didn't help me

What is going to happen if we use 2 NMOS transistors for Common Source Amplifier with Active load?

Isn't your placement of the DC blocking capacitor wrong?
