I will probably replace mine , but I'm going to miss the hummer logo when you first turn it on! plus it does sound good for stock, wouldn't mind finding that cable you were talking about for backup camera , I have a cheesy aftermarket cam on the dash now
Just bought My 2006 H2 but radio system don’t show anything on screen. Can hear everything, selec radio stations but display still off. Do you know what it could be?
@@armandosebastian5176 one thing to try first is taking the front face off like you was going to install another radio and unplug power from the back of the radio itself to reset everything see if after plugging the power back in you get anything to show on the screen. I had seen the screen on some Of this units go bad .
Great video. I would like to know more about the xm2 module or plug you mentioned. It would be great to have an aux input to the radio. My wife has a 2005 H2 SUT with the bose radio.
Look up xm aux cable ebay usually has some for sale keep in mind that its hard to find a new one . Some older corvette owners still use the setup just to leave their corvettes with the original radio look a like . Remember we’re talking about a product that was launched around the ipod years .
How did you unlock the OEM Hummer H2 radio when you installed. Own a Hummer 2008 , H2 My XM abruptly quit, and I'm wanting to replace with another OEM Hummer H2 2008 radio. You mentioned a XM unit under dash, could that have gone out. Any assistance appreciated
On the older models 2003 to 2007 the xm module was behind the passenger glove box . On the newer 2008/09 models I dont know if it’s located in the same place and yes that could had been the case that the module went out . I have a Tech2 scan tool the same one the dealership uses to work on this trucks thats how I unlocked the radio .
Forgot to mention if you’re interested in buy the scan tool let me know ill post the site i got it from , if you plan on keeping the h2 or have any others GM vehicles it’s worth having it .

Cable is hard to find some times you can see it pop up on ebay used
You can program aftermarket headunit to have the h2 logo appear

Spend the money on a pioneer or alpine head unit with wireless Apple/Android play 👍🏾
